Most recently, I rented a car for a week and after taking the train to the rental car center, I was able to skip the desk and head straight to the Emerald Aisle to pick any available car. I would highly recommend setting up an account with National and taking advantage of this.... being able to skip a line at the counter is a blessing. In any event, we went to the aisle, picked out our car and were off after a brief stop at the gate to check everything. Return was also quick and painless. Josh did a thorough inspection of the car, which we returned with a full tank and in pristine shape, and we were on our way in no time. It's amazing how frictionless the experience can be, as opposed to how awful other companies (I'm looking at you Hertz) can make it. I highly recommend National.

Getting the car was easy, and it was freshly washed, but def had some dirt marks on it, but that was the least of my concern. It was available right away, we did have to pay a $250 deposit like the other reviews said, but we got the deposit back today! I'm guessing this company doesn't do well with a large volume of customers, but if you're traveling around a non busy time and want something that won't cost $400 then check this place out! Cheapest rental I could find for our time here.

[Price]: I booked an intermediate car (Toyota Corolla or similar) via Costco Travel and the initial quote was approximately $108 for a 9-hour rental. Alamo is located at the Rental Car Center and our party took the PHX Sky Train to get there. I showed the staff my reservation confirmation and was able to choose any available cars in a specific row. I ended up with a Chevy Malibu. Before driving out of the exit gate, travelers need to show their driver's license and the credit card used to book the car. The return process was very straightforward.
