    Korean BBQ Lettuce Wrap

I always loved farm-to-table idea, but it took me long to find my next adventure place. We finally found a hidden gem-Mint Slingerlands and booked it last minute before we arrived on a rainy Saturday night. Plenty of parking spaces out there. We were greeted and seated right away. The ambience is pretty quiet, good for dating or family gathering vibes. I got the recommended apricot whiskey sour, and it's just simply perfect-not too sweet, fruity but with a slightly bitter end taste. Then we got the Korean BBQ Lettuce Wrap and the Forager Toast. While the wrap is pretty good, we were really mind blown by the toast. The layers of flavors were popping nonstop on our tastebuds. We got scallops marrakesh and smoke spiced brisket. Both are pretty good. Had no room left for dessert so we will come back later to check out this place again.

We've heard good things about Mint and decided that it was time to check it out. The first thing that surprised us was just how cold it was inside. Most staff were wearing a sweater or cardigan. I personally think that it's great when a restaurant has an interior temperature that's right for the season and I have a number of wonderful cashmere sweaters that I never get to wear because most restaurants keep the interior at around 75 throughout the year. I just wish that restaurants would have their thermostat setting on the website so that I know how to dress for the occasion. I was also impressed with the diversity of the staff and the fact that any available staff would bring food to the table or refill a water glass which meant minimal wait and excellent service. The food itself was phenomenal. The only complaints that I heard out of our group was that the Chardonnay which should be served between 50 and 55° based on variety seemed warmer and that the bee burger was lukewarm when served. The scallops Marrakesh were excellent with the good balance with the chickpeas and greens for a full meal. The scallops themselves, while on the smaller side, were cooked perfectly and the flavor was excellent. The chickpea dish that they were served on could have been a vegan dish all on its own. The burger was excellent and the sweet and sour notes of the tomato jam dovetailed nicely with the flavors of the beef and cheese. We decided to go for dessert, which at most places tends to be underwhelming, and were presented with four excellent options. We chose the panna cotta and pistachio tiramisu. The size difference between the two was a bit unexpected, since they were both at a similar price point. The pistachio bar on top of the tiramisu was sublime. I could imagine eating that bar all on its own, or coated in a nice chocolate. The panna cotta was nice. The inside of the restaurant was decorated well with gorgeous chandeliers sending rainbows down on the tables and a beautifully painted garden motif on the wall. The chairs and benches were comfortable and the table had a real candle in the center. This is the sort of restaurant where we can confidently bring guests and know that they will not disappoint.

Had a lovely lunch date with a friend today. Easily made reservations for their patio online (dogs allowed on the patio). Our waitress, Cagney, was warm and attentive. My friend had the burger and fingerling potatoes and ate it all. I had the chicken divan pasta with added mushrooms. Yum! Full disclosure, we stayed a LONG time! But as the restaurant was not busy they let us just sit and chat to our hearts desire. Will absolutely return.

Had a wonderful time here on a Friday night with a friend. I've been wanting to try this place for a long time. Based on earlier reviews, I think they have found their stride. It was surprisingly not very busy for our 6 PM reservation. We were seated quickly and received excellent service from our server who was attentive without being intrusive. My friend and I shared the Caesar salad, the Korean barbecue lettuce wraps and the chicken schnitzel. Everything was beautifully plated and tasted delicious. The Caesar salad was not served like a traditional Caesar salad (cheese bits and breadcrumbs were grated and sprinkled throughout) although the dressing was homemade and tasty & more than enough for two people. We didn't save room for dessert, but the four items on the dessert menu looked delicious! My half of the meal came to $60 which included tip and a glass of wine. A great value for what we got! We sat in the dining area, which had a lovely ambience with wonderful artwork around the room. All in all, I look forward to returning for the exceptional service and tasty food.

Everything was excellent, from the ambiance to the service and the food. Our server was so friendly and pleasant. I love the wallpaper and decor, right down to the fresh flower stems at the table. The arctic char was the hit of the dining experience. We will definitely return, and maybe try lunch at the bar for a different vibe. I highly recommend Mint!

The bar tender, Noah, was impressive and friendly in that he knew his liquor stock very well, and could explain the flavor intricacies of the various types of bourbon, vodka, and gins. They also offer some non,-alcoholic beverages for the "designated driver" of the group too. We watched Noah make everything from regular and "dirty martinis" with fresh ingredients, as well as one drink where he used a butane lighter and some tiny cedar chips in a straining tool above the drink to give it a fresh, authentic smoky look and flavor. Noah knows his stuff!!!!! The patrons were friendly, diverse, and easy to socialize with if you chose to do so. The establishment is pet friendly for "socialized pets" with a water bowl outside the establishment and some free Milkbone treats inside. Keep in mind that this establishment is a "tasting room" with the majority of products from the New Scotland Distillery, but there are other options. Just don't expect to get a Bud Light Draft or food here. The only downside is that parking in the Lark Steet and State Street location is difficult to obtain without some effort, but we managed to park our vehicles 2 blocks away. This is not a direct criticism of the establishment because the experience is well worth this minor potential inconvenience. We would definitely go back there again, especially for the specialty drinks or the flights and half flights of their bourbon and vodka products. Thank you once again, Noah, for a pleasant and educational evening!!!

We discovered Morgan & Co. a couple of years ago and it's been one of our go-to places ever since. I'd read about Mint and people liked it a lot so we went there for brunch/lunch a few days ago. It did not disappoint. We had the opportunity to check it out following a wake in Queensbury. Our drinks were very good. My Limoncello Spritzer really hit the spot. My husband was delighted that his Bloody Mary did not include any olives (lol). However, $18 is steep for tomato juice, folks. We shared the Brussel Sprouts as a Starter. Both of us ordered the Crab and Scallop Cake Benny which was topped with hollandais, served on a bed of arugula and accompanied by tasty potatoes. Absolutely delicious! Our server was very nice. She seemed to be handling a lot of the tables and managed it well. We were not rushed nor did we feel neglected. It's a small place, cozy and welcoming. Love the china. There is a parking lot and also street parking. The menu is limited. If you have fussy eaters, you may want to check it out online before making a reservation (which is recommended). I would have given them 4-1/2 but the system doesn't allow it. We will definitely return.

This warm cocktail was a total delight and absolutely hit the spot. We started with the house bread. I know it sounds like "just bread," but the texture was perfect, and the ricotta honey spread paired with it nicely. For entrées, I had the chicken schnitzel. It was crispy and well-executed, and the beurre blanc was silky and rich. I think it would have been even better with spaetzle, but the portion size was generous on its own--I'm just a starch girlie. My husband ordered the bolognese, which was flavorful and came in a healthy portion. He ended up taking some home, which we love because leftovers are never a bad thing. For dessert, we shared the pot de crème. The balance of caramel, saltiness, and chocolate was the perfect finish. The chocolate was rich and smooth. I also loved the décor--it was such a pleasant surprise to find a place like this in South Glens Falls.

Start to finish every staff person we interacted with was welcoming, attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. Definitely appreciated and noteworthy over the usual, requisite pleasantries. We both had specials - scallops with squid ink risotto and pork belly with tostones. Each dish was thoughtfully and creatively prepared, the proteins were cooked perfectly, and I appreciated the inclusion of some fresh, on-site grown veg. Also enjoyed the Latin American flare/flavor incorporated into both dishes. Dining prices in Albany have (bewilderingly) been on par with Boston and NYC for years now, so Coray Kitchen is certainly reasonable for a high quality meal. I also appreciate that the specials were priced similarly to on-menu items. Will definitely be back to sample the paella and fresh pasta, unless enticed away again by specials!

First, your Brunch menu and food are excellent, when we finally got our food - after roughly an hour of waiting - I was instantly reminded of why Dove and Deer is great - bold flavors, excellent preparation, gorgeous plates all in a city that desperately needs it. Second, I really felt bad for the 3 people responsible for running an entire restaurant on a Sunday (two waiters and one person in the kitchen). They did their absolute best, were so kind and apologetic, but obviously completely stressed out and frazzled. Tables got up and left after waiting for someone to get back to them - and we almost did too. It's unfair to restaurant staff to put the burden of running an entire place on them. I get if someone called off and you're short staffed 1 or 2 people, but did everyone call off? Besides 3 people? Come on. You have a real opportunity to be a go to brunch destination, my advice is to staff appropriately and give it a real go or risk customers not getting to experience the greatness that is your food - and taking their dollars to someplace far more mediocre. The only reason this isn't a 2 star or 1 star review is because of how hard your staff tried, and how good your food is (when it finally shows up).
