Nasty! Can you even tell what it is?
Lisa R.

Went to get take out 04/01/26. Maybe I should have not gone on April Fools' Day because I was certain it must be a joke. The food was that bad. French Dip, the special. Got home no dip. A French dip and they forget the "hearty broth" called dip described on the menu. French dip, no dip! And it wasn't good. But the fries, you could break your teeth. Hard and burnt to a crisp. Look how disgusting the French fries they have the nerve to send out to customers in the photos what a nerve!!!! $25 down the drain. Won't be back!!

I picked The Delaware for my boyfriend's birthday dinner and I'm so glad I did. I made reservations online, which was really easy, and I liked how you could mention that you were celebrating a special occasion. When we walked in, the hostess asked whose birthday it was, which was really nice. I like the fact that their menu has both specialty entrees and more casual options like burgers and sandwiches. It helps ensure that everyone in your party will find something they like. To start, we ordered the flatbread special, which had prosciutto and mozzarella. The prosciutto was crispy and the Flatbread was like a delicious pizza. For our entrees, my boyfriend ordered thr Bahn Mi, which had pork, pickled vegetables, and a charred pineapple aioli. It came with fries too. He really liked it! I ordered the Seafood Oreganato, which was linguini with tons of littleneck clams and shrimp, and cherry tomatoes. I couldn't believe how much seafood was in it! It was absolutely delicious and I enjoyed the leftovers for lunch the next day. It was so good! The ambiance was really nice and it wasn't noisy at all despite there being a large party seated near us. Our server was friendly and helpful. I definitely recommend The Delaware not only for a special occasion dinner but for any meal as their menu is sure to please!

The Delaware. How should I rate a restaurant that is incapable, after two visits, to serve its items on the menu to its visitors? Isn't that the job of a restaurant? Call me, when you get Summer 2024 orders in 2025! Supposedly it burned down - which explains the unfinished ceilings, holes in the floors and the creaky wood walls. I ate dinner at the bar! It was unfortunate, that the first apps that I ordered were "unavailable" - thats the reason I came: to sample the cooking! I suggest the kitchen make adjustments and increase orders; so that diners can actually order what they want. Non-available food is a big NO-NO. That is the line dividing pros and novices (who do not have the lobster, for 'The Delaware' lobster appetizers for example!). It should never happen. When I finally did get my app., I could tell just by its appearance, it sat wilting under hot lamps for 10 minutes, while bar backs were yucking shop! It tasted a mighty bland. It was over cooked and sloppy.. My saving grace was a dessert and a beer - from a Hudson Valley brewery. I chose it, because I am Yelp's Rebel Chef: and I know haute cuisine and the refined arts of drinks. I had to pry conversation from staff. At the management level: some girl stumbled around all night bragging about "how I do the books" and "this isn't my *real* f?$&ing job".. etc, a dull teen fantasy. That is not needed and it's ingenue. Review: 4

What's left of the clams and the short rib mean! Amazing!

What can I say, from the moment you walk in you love this little gem. With The Lumineers playing in the background we enjoyed our chat with Sean the bartender and our glasses of Austin Cab. The clams app was perfect. Short rib dinner was enough for two and the chicken piccata was to a T! Love it and will be back next time we are in Albany!

This experience was maybe the most I've laughed in a long time. The hostess was nice about giving us a table that wasn't super tiny and by the door even though she tried to originally sit us there. Our waiter was newer but very sweet. We ordered a bunch of small plates to share we. We got the oysters, he wasn't sure about the brine level. We ordered the special app that was blue fin tuna bites. That were actually two large cakes. We got the edamame dumplings, the shrimp bruschetta and the pork belly and lobster spring rolls. We also got crème brule and some other dumplings. The restaurant was quiet and cozy. They were busy but it still had a warmth to it. Why did we laugh? There was a very unique plating for the app special. The waiter was embarrassed. He offered to have it replated. We laughed and laughed and told him it was amazing and creative. The food was delicious and the blue fin was the best! Check out the pictures to see the Artistry

The Red Pepper & Pesto Bucatini - the only highlight of the evening.

A Disappointing Evening at The Delaware... The other night, my family and I--my wife, daughter, and her boyfriend--decided to try The Delaware. The ambiance was lovely. From the moment we sat down the tone was set by our server's opening line: "I apologize if your food arrives late, we have a party of sixteen, and the chef is very busy." Not exactly the warm welcome one expects from a restaurant with 4.3 score on Yelp. We started with a charcuterie board and fried calamari. When asked if the board would be sufficient for four, the waitress assured us it would be. Regrettably, it wasn't. As the photo shows, it was laughably small. The calamari fared no better--gritty and barely edible. Then came the entrees, in staggered fashion. My wife and daughter's boyfriend received theirs first, mine followed ten minutes later, and my daughter's arrived five minutes after mine. My Surf and Turf was sent back immediately--the steak was undercooked. The burger was raw and untouched. My wife, thankfully, enjoyed the few bites of her Bucatini, the lone bright spot of the meal. When my Surf and Turf returned, the steak was still undercooked, and the lobster tail was a mushy, flavorless mess. My daughter's Steak Diane was drowned in Dijon demi cream, making it impossible to tell how the steak was cooked. The sauce itself was unpleasant. I am not one to complain, and I was prepared to pay for the untouched entrees. But the manager, recognizing the disaster, apologized and only charged us for the drinks. That gesture spoke volumes. The food was simply unfit to serve and the manager was aware of this fact. Sadly, "The Delaware" missed the mark on nearly every front. We will not be returning. If you have found this review helpful or you like the photos, please leave a comment.

The food and service were quite pleasant, and they were very accommodating when we requested a larger table! The food was good, but honestly, nothing too extraordinary. As a salmon lover, I found this to be just average. The meat was beautifully cut and practically melted in your mouth like rich butter--absolutely amazing! Overall, it was a lovely meal. While the food was enjoyable, I don't see myself rushing back anytime soon.

Oysters, Yum!!!!

Everything was excellent! Bar service w/ Zac was exceptional, wine recommendation was spot on! Beef Wellington was cooked perfectly (medium rare)!! Highly recommend!!!!

First, your Brunch menu and food are excellent, when we finally got our food - after roughly an hour of waiting - I was instantly reminded of why Dove and Deer is great - bold flavors, excellent preparation, gorgeous plates all in a city that desperately needs it. Second, I really felt bad for the 3 people responsible for running an entire restaurant on a Sunday (two waiters and one person in the kitchen). They did their absolute best, were so kind and apologetic, but obviously completely stressed out and frazzled. Tables got up and left after waiting for someone to get back to them - and we almost did too. It's unfair to restaurant staff to put the burden of running an entire place on them. I get if someone called off and you're short staffed 1 or 2 people, but did everyone call off? Besides 3 people? Come on. You have a real opportunity to be a go to brunch destination, my advice is to staff appropriately and give it a real go or risk customers not getting to experience the greatness that is your food - and taking their dollars to someplace far more mediocre. The only reason this isn't a 2 star or 1 star review is because of how hard your staff tried, and how good your food is (when it finally shows up).

Decided to give a try. The place is a total vibe, dont let the outside and area fool you! It had been a long day by the time we got here, did the outlets all day long and I was coming down with a cold. Ordered a ton of apps, Crab rangoon dip is GOOOOOODDDD!!!!... Ordered Calamari that apparently I didnt get a pic of, but It was good also. I think we got wings, but I truly cant remember. I got the risotto, I didnt love it but the Shrimp were delish, it had a super strong after taste flavor that I didnt love but couldnt truly put my finger on, Hubby said his pasta was good, but just needed "something". Would def go back just not sure how often we'd be in the area. Drink menu was super extensive and they were great as well. Started to feel not well and literally had to take our food to go, the waitress was soo concerned and caring, it was great, and it was no fault of the food or theirs, I think it was just whatever cold I was coming down with that kicked my ass and I felt like I was going to pass out, sorry TMI... But the response was so nice and accommodating from the staff. Def worth a try, just be patient with parking, it was slightly chaotic, or that night we just happened to encounter all the people in the are who couldnt drive in tight spaces, LOL!

The wine by the glass list was limited and fifty percent was vegan. I ordered the Mosen German Reisling which is more sweet than I prefer but there were no other options. My guy ordered a brown beer on tap, i'm unsure the name. We started with appetizers crab rangoon dip with crispy delicious wonton chips. And the second mozzarella eggrolls. I would pass on the eggrolls im the future. The motz is advertised smoked but lacked a smoky flavor. The Harissa had the spice level simular to Heinz ketchup. My entree was a Cuban sandwich that did deliver some heat, well pressed with plenty of pickles. We would love to see a wider wine selection and a turn up on the spice and flavor for the appetizers.

We approached just as they were opening for the day on a Saturday. (Slightly after noon) Not seeing many cars in the neighborhood and having the gps seem to "arrive" outside of an empty lot was an inauspicious start but when we pulled fully into the lot, we saw that they had put some work into the place and it had a nice modern look. Didn't get to take advantage of the nice outdoor seating area because the weather was rainy. We were greeted by friendly staff and seated at a comfortable table. Our timing was impeccable because the place was full within the next half hour. Our waitress deserves her own paragraph! She knew the menu inside and out and had tremendous pride in the food served and the awards they've won! Illusive is a "foodie" restaurant, every dish is elevated yet remains unfussy. For appetizers, we shared the street corn dip and tater tot poutine. The street corn dip was creamy and zesty. The tater tot poutine was revelatory, the cheese was melted perfectly, the gravy wasn't some jarred nonsense, and the tots themselves were crispy. I enjoyed the different textures of it, some more cheesy and some more gravy. My wife enjoyed a chicken Caesar salad and my daughter enjoyed a grilled chicken pesto sandwich. Her sandwich was a nice enough portion that she finished it leftover for dinner! I enjoyed the buffalo lemon pepper wings, the sauce was a nice blend of heat and zesty flavor. I appreciated the amount of wings they served, some restaurants are going for "shrinkflation" but Illusive provides a full portion! We received quality and personable service throughout a delicious meal, we will gladly return!

As the name suggests, this restaurant is a bit elusive. It's hidden from street view and, unfortunately, sits right next to a highway ramp. That said, once you're inside, the location quickly becomes irrelevant. I've tried a few things here over time, but most notably, the burgers. Every burger I've had has been excellent -- I honestly haven't tasted one I didn't like. We also tried the wings, which appear to have earned some awards of their own, and they absolutely lived up to the hype. They looked and tasted fantastic. Each wing was carefully garnished with chives, and the sauce was generously slathered over them. They were messy, indulgent, and downright delicious. I personally love getting down and dirty with wings, though I could see how that might not be everyone's preference. The staff have always been pleasant and helpful. While the food can sometimes take a bit longer to come out, it's clearly made with care and has always been worth the wait.

Yes, you can make reservations which is what we did to ensure we would have a table on Friday night. It wasn't necessary but with a larger crowd it is a must if you are expecting to get seated otherwise you may just have to rely on luck. We had a variety of eaters in our group but Savoy was able to accommodate all. Appetizers. Soups, salads, burgers, and even hotdogs most menu items can be customized to be made vegan. This often means omitting the cheese. And here is where I think this should have been a five star experience but they lost me on this... burgers can substitute a Beyond patty for an additional $3, infact, the only burger on the menu made entirely vegan is the "Far Beyond Lark" with fries which was price at $24. Literally the most expensive burger on the menu. It's 2026, the cost of Beyond or Impossible meat is almost the same as beef. Why are vegans still being penalized to pay a higher price when dining out? If anything make the vegan burger the same price as the others and add a $1 substitution fee to make any of the others vegan with vegan cheese, Beyond burger patty, and vegan mayonnaise. Just a thought. All the burgers come on a lovely toasted brioche bun but because it contains egg, the vegan substitute is a sad gluten free bun of dispare and remorse. The cauliflower wings were delicious, I got Nashville Hot but something in them almost gave me Indian food vibes like a curry of some kind? The fries are the absolute best, I love a basket of good hand cut French fries. The guys at the table who ordered their burgers enjoyed them, although they needed extra napkins but that's not always a bad thing. Overall, great experience! I would love to go back. I hope to see in the future a menu change to be more inclusive of customers on a plant-based diet considering their health and not how deep their pockets are.

It felt less like closing time and more like a gentle-but-firm "you don't have to go home, but you can't stay here." Meanwhile, the bar area up front was packed and vibey, so shutting down the back while we were the only ones there was... a choice. Shoutout to the music though -- solid playlist, good energy. Side note: the hostess up front had some... interesting energy. Not bad, just a little confused. When we moved a table to make space she said, we cant do that. It was -15 outside and no one was there---- Overall: great food, great server, fun bar vibe -- just be prepared for a dramatic lighting change if you're in the back late. Would still go back (and probably sit closer to the bar next time).

I came on a very blustery Saturday night and it was quiet inside, and freezing. It was about 55° in the dining area and our server couldn't care less. Everyone was bundled up at their table. Honestly, we should have left. The server was very slow to welcome us at the table and take our drink orders, but when they arrived, they were great. The cocktails were large and strong, I loved my dirty martinis and the aviation. Excellent drinks. The appetizer round fell flat and felt so overpriced. The French onion soup was what I was most excited about, however it was not soup. It was soggy bread covered with cheese. I don't know what happened, but the crouton added to this must have been the size of the whole bowl. There was no soup. It was a good flavor but, not what I wanted or expected. The calamari looked like it could have came from any hotel restaurant, pass. The lobster fries, which I saw online, were sad with a tiny portion of over cooked lobster, they weren't even served with a sauce. On to the entrees, we ordered the clam sauce (fish special), a build your own burger, and the duck gnocchi. My sister enjoyed her clams, and the burger looked great. I ordered the duck gnocchi and I was just shocked at the tiny dish. It was not as described on the menu, it was 4 slices of duck, 10 fried gnocchi, spinach and few mushroom floating in an overly salty brown butter. I ate the duck off the dish and told the server that this was not what I thought I was ordering. If it tasted delicious I would of course look past other things, but it was inedible. There was nothing to balance from the heavy butter and salt on the dish. I am really sad to write this review. I can't even say it was an off night, because the owner was there.
