I'm a local and have frequently gone to this restaurant as it is one of my favorites. Unfortunately, on my last visit, I sent my sandwich back to the kitchen. It was returned with a dead fly on the plate! Seriously!! Clearly, someone in the kitchen was mad that the sandwich was sent back and out of spite added some unnecessary "protein" to the plate. This was off season when they weren't even crowded. Needless to say, I will not return. read more

The service is horrible. We were cut in line twice. Then sat a bar for over 10min before a hello or cleaned up from the people before. I still sat hoping for the best. Ordered drinks and waiting 15mi. For a drink on the rocks??? My wife ordered the flight of mimosas and a waiter stuck his fingers in it because it had the wrong garnish. The when our food came they handed to another customer then took it back and handed it to us. Mine cold.. wife kinda liked hers. And even the staff did not care about anyone but who they knew. We had a party of four each time. Some had the mimosas and enjoyed it. However, for a breakfast/brunch spot, you would think the coffee would be awesome like the food. However, the coffee is way too weak. My party thought maybe it was a fluke on the first visit. However, their food and wide variety of options made us give them another try. The food was again amazing, but the coffee was still very weak. Summary: I strongly encourage you to visit Mimosa's for the amazing food but not for the coffee. The food servers were cordial and efficient. Some servers were more efficient than others. We particularly liked it when the servers provided a carafe on the table with our beverages (coffee and water). However, not every food server provided the carafe of beverages. read more

Went for Sunday Brunch. With outdoor seating we thought the restaurant was going to be close to the beach but the outdoor seating just looked onto the parking lot. If the weather is good then looks to be a great place to sit but not much of a view. Got there around 1 pm. Crowd was thinning out so we got a table pretty quickly. If you plan earlier then recommend a reservation. Overall food was good although I had the lobster and shrimp scrambled omelet and it was lite on the lobster and only a few pieces of shrimp, otherwise it was okay. Grits were good and the croissant was excellent. Wife ordered the Eggs Benedict on a crab cake. Crab cake was great. It was thin with a crisp all around that went well with the eggs. Unfortunately the eggs were way overcooked. Waitress was great and quickly brought replacements but those too were overcooked. However third time was the charm. Why it took three tries is something the kitchen and the chef need to figure out. Mimosas were good but a bit lite on the champagne and heavy on the price. Great for the experience but next time may just go for a drink that is more mainstream....maybe a screwdriver... read more

We've been coming down to MB for over a decade for our annual family vacation. Every year, we look for new places to try, and this was on our list for this year. As soon as I saw lobster and waffle, I knew we HAD to try it. It didn't disappoint. It's a slow week at the beach as the summer winds down, so there was no wait when we got there around noon. Service was a bit slow, considering how it wasn't a particularly busy lunchtime, but that's ok. If I was in a hurry, I wouldn't be on vacation. Everyone enjoyed their meal, and my curiosity about fried lobster and waffle was satisfied with a delicious meal. I just wish I could've gotten a larger portion of lobster The waffles, pancakes, and French toast were all fluffy, so that made finishing up the generous portions easy. Only taking one star away for the slow service and automatic gratuity. I respect and support the service industry, but I've never been a fan of auto-tips. read more

We had someone in our group with a seafood allergy but our server informed us everything is fried in same oil and couldn't guarantee their safety. The server was very friendly. A solid breakfast performance even though we did not try a mimosa flight. Admittedly they looked great! I ordered a Southwest scramble, with which they allowed me to sub a fruit bowl for breakfast potatoes. Husband ordered a berry French toast that was covered in the most delicious orange cream sauce, whipped cream, berries and had a side of two eggs and bacon. What an enormous meal! The Southwest scramble has some nice slices of avocado and what had to be three eggs scrambled right. But there was an ungodly amount of cheddar cheese piled all over the top of the whole dish. Cheese should be a sprinkling or a garnish not a thick half inch melted layer on top of a scramble. I tried to pick a lot of it off and eat the eggs underneath. Salsa was helpful and tasted good, but the fruit salad have seen better days. Orange pieces were peeled, but the cutter left a lot of pith attached and the strawberries were wilted and pale. Although I appreciate the effort to allow me to sub fruit, I didn't eat the fruit. Our server was outgoing and friendly but we did not present much of a challenge, she only had to keep up with refilling waters. Husband did order a fresh squeezed orange juice and she asked if it was okay if it was fresh squeezed (which seemed odd do people actually turn this down?). It was extremely bright orange and super tasty, and while we were sitting there it separated in the glass proving exactly how freshly the OJ was squeezed. Nice job! The restrooms were clean if unremarkable, and the restaurant itself is bright and pretty. If I lived in the area I would be back! read more

This place is must go to for brunch.The decor is so beautiful from the indoor seating to the outdoor seating. I feel like it had a New Orleans vibe. The waiter was amazing and made sure we had what we needed. My husband and I had the cornbeef hash breakfast and my daughter had the shrimp and grits.
