We were driving back to Chicago from a wedding the day before in Grafton. We were going to stop in Milwaukee, but it was a Saturday morning, so we thought we'd have better luck without a reservation if we went to a restaurant just outside. We found Mimosa on Yelp, and the menu looked promising with so many offerings. I was debating between the Choricero Skillet and Morning Jambalaya, so conveniently, my bf was getting the Morning Jambalaya. They were both rich, savory, and full of flavors- I actually liked Morning Jambalaya slightly more than the Choricero, but both were great. The pancakes were fluffy and moist. The host forgot us on the waitlist since we were waiting outside and sat walk ins before us after waiting 20 minutes. The server was nice but food runners ran everything, she really just took our order and that's it. Took a while to get the check too. The food was not worth the price in my opinion. The omelette was good and a nice portion but the skillets were ordered were two egg skillets for $16-20. The worst is the skillets were not made to order. They seemed like they were in a premade vat and scooped into the smallest skillet I've ever had. The flavor was there, but the preparation was awful. We made reservations and still had to wait around 20 minutes for our table. Which wasn't that much of a problem. The waitress was very nice and fast with our orders. I got the Classic Eggs with fruit and pancakes. To me the food was just okay. My eggs were basically cold by the time they hit the table while my sisters plate was so hot she almost burnt herself when a different waiter handed her her plate. Maybe I didn't order the right things but I don't think I would come here again. read more

We visited here for breakfast because a friend recommended it. Needless to say, word of mouth definitely matters. Food and service was great. In particular, we ordered the veggie omelette and added sausage and ham! Delicious. If you know you know: the quality of the eggs are what separates the best of the best omelettes from the basic ones. This omelette was fluffy and the perfect butteriness. I came up to the area to visit family. My aunt recommended that we go here for brunch and I'm glad she did! The location is super cute, modern, and CLEAN! The service was excellent including the waitstaff and the owner coming around being helpful, playful, and very friendly. The food was absolutely OUTSTANDING! Everyone in our party loved what they ordered including my mother who needed special accommodations due to a medical condition. Personally, I ordered the chorizo chicken skillet and was very happy about how it turned out. It was the perfect ratio of ingredients and they blended perfectly. The COOLEST part though was the EGGS. These were not Sysco Food's "barely an egg". These looked/tasted like they had come from a chicken in the back yard. I don't think I've had eggs that were so good! Stopped in on this cold January day thinking it wouldn't be too busy, but we were wrong. Had a short wait for a table but the staff was absolutely hustling to accommodate everyone. Short wait for server to come to the table but she was very friendly despite what I'm sure was a stressful time. Took our order and the food came up surprisingly fast. I had the chicken avocado BLT with fries and my husband had eggs/potatoes/toast/bacon. Everything was really tasty. The fries were really good, very obviously hand cut. We went to Mimosa on a Saturday morning. Put our name on the wait list and were able to get seated when we arrived. There were 4 of us and everyone was pleased with their meals. Mimosa is a good spot for breakfast/brunch. They have a really large variety of choices on their menu which puts them a step above some other similar brunch restaurants. My boyfriend had their Florentine Benedict and potatoes with their avocado sauce. I had the churro French toast and ordered their apple compote. My boyfriend enjoyed his Benedict but not to the point of rushing back ASAP to eat it again. The French toast I had was very yummy. I liked that the crusted part made the French toast crunchy. It was not too sweet which I liked, but there could have been more of the cream cheese filling. I ordered the apple compote on the side because I really like apples and cinnamon cooked down like that and it sounded so good (I saw it as a topping on one of the oatmeal plates). Unfortunately, the compote really fell flat for me. It didn't taste very fresh, sweet, or good and I left the bowl full after eating just a bite. I think this is the best brunch spot in Oak Creek/Franklin area. We have been multiple times and not a single time were we disappointed by the food. I pick the food randomly now when i come in and it still is perfect. The servers are busy but they really try to take care of each single table. The atmosphere is very easy and simple and really that's all what is needed for brunch. They do get super busy on Sundays so put your name on the list early or you might not get in that day. read more

Delicious breakfast and lunch foods , there's vegetarian options. They offer delicious coffee and to go cups. I highly recommend their pancakes and house syrup. I'm not a pancake eater but I finished my plate and was wanting seconds . The service is great, the staff is very friendly and prompt. Today was our second visit and I forgot how awesome this place was! I need to frequent it more! We have our usual go to brunch spots in Milwaukee but this place is def top 3! They have a large menu and the staff are always very friendly. They are engaging and nice. I have had the eggs Benedict which was outstanding and creamy. We held my daughter's bridal shower here in their party room. Daniella was a joy to work with and made sure everything was perfect for the special day. If you're looking for a good bloody - this is your spot. We like the countertop bar spot but have sat other places. The vibe is chill but classier than a regular diner. I'm a huge Benedict snob when it comes to breakfast, and Mimosa offers roughly 5 different kinds! I went with the traditional and the eggs were made perfectly, and the hollandaise was delicious! I am 20 weeks pregnant, and the waitress was more than happy to ask the cook how they prepare their sauce. If you're pregnant like me, you'll be happy to know their sauce is pregnancy safe! They use fresh butter and milk, but the eggs/sauce is powdered which is great! The pancakes were perfectly buttery! They also serve Colectivo coffee, which is my obsession! I highly recommend coming here for all of your breakfast and brunch needs! They, of course, have a very large selection of a variety of mimosas! Come June I will be indulging in those! They are taking great precautions due to Covid. Every visit requires a reservation, and you simply text their restaurant when you arrive, and they notify you when to come in. There is simply no wait, which is amazing. If you've ever been to this place pre-Covid, you know the wait here is always hours long because of how many people love it!! We have nothing but great reviews for this place! The staff is so so so kind. Tessa & Jared were our servers as we went for two mornings in a row! We are big time breakfast/brunch people & this was some of the most fresh food! The eggs you can tell are 100% farm fresh. The mimosa's are the perfect amount of OJ & champagne. The biscuits and gravy are the best that I have ever had. The chorizo on the b&gravy & the chicken is fantastic, just the right amount of heat that is not over powering at all. We stayed close to the airport and this was about a 5 minute drive for us. It was super worth it. Everyone was extremely nice, they ran a very efficient process of how the orders and food came out and it was extremely delicious. I had the jambalaya skillet which was very tasty and it had a lot of nice ingredients. The pancakes were very good and had a nice crisp outside. Also pictured is a waffle with berries. I ordered the biscuits and gravy -- seemingly simple, but it's the best biscuits and gravy I've had with the softest, fresh biscuits and savory chorizo gravy. Also ordered a side of the Greek Yogurt Avocado Sauce Potatoes and it was delicious! Perfect hint of tanginess from the Greek Yogurt and creaminess from the avocado. My bf ordered the Blueberry Omelette. It was nice and fluffy -- an interesting combination I never would have thought to put together in an omelette, but the blueberries added a slight tart and sweetness that paired well with the savoriness of the scallion cream. There was a short wait on a Sunday afternoon. This isn't a trendy-looking place by any means, more of a hometown, family restaurant that happens to do a farm-to-table approach. The service was great (maybe even too over-the-top) and the food was good. Our server was eager to point things out on the menu like what's most adventurous or what's most popular. I went with the corn-flake coated French toast, served with fresh berries and homemade cream cheese sauce. I ordered some bacon so I could at least say I got some protein. Jacob ordered the Morning Jambalaya skillet which comes with chicken, sausage and shrimp. The food came up fairly quickly, though mine fell to the floor before it had to be re-made and served to me a second time. To their credit, they recooked it very quickly and were apologetic. The French toast was good, not great. It could have used more cinnamon or some nutmeg. It tasted like generic challah French toast coated with corn flakes. The cream cheese sauce was good, but I wanted it to be a touch sweeter. It was a very muted flavor. The fresh berries were awesome. The bacon was served to me cold (do any places do fresh-cooked bacon, or is it always sitting around for hours?) and it was as chewy as jerky. I asked them to take it off my bill and they obliged, while apologizing that it was so chewy. It happens. Jacob loved his Jambalaya skillet. I had some of the pulled chicken and it was savory and tender. There was plenty of shrimp, too. He loved it. Overall, I didn't have the best-tasting breakfast or dining experience, but Jacob loved his skillet. Obviously this place is super-popular for a reason. They have really good service but I just had a bit of an "off" experience, so I'm not going to give them less than 4 stars. Accidents happen; sometimes bacon is tough. Well I looked them up on Yelp lastnite for a breakfast place. We r staying nearby and wanted something yummy. Yup this was the place. We are visiting ( working) for a few days here in Milwaukee. Peggy was our waitress. It took her a bit to warm up to us tho. Lots of regulars in that got a tad more attention but I got time so it's just an observation. I chose chicken n waffles and coffee with a mimosa. It was really good. Love the schnitzel type of chicken with the cornflake crust!! So tasty!!!!!!! Bf had corned beef hash n eggs. He loved it as well. It had a perfect meat to potato ratio. His drink was coffee and a Bloody Mary with the shorty. I love that! I want to steal the bottle lol Cause my folks were from Rhinelander!
