Gem in Brookfield. Be prepared for long wait. But great food, friendly service. Great chicken and waffle

Stopped by Mimosa for brunch with a group of girlfriends and some of their kiddos. First of all, I love the vibe and appreciate that they are kid friendly. Ended up getting the chicken and waffles and they were ok, nothing to get too excited about. The chicken was a little dry but dousing it with syrup helped. Didn't end up getting any drinks, but they had great mimosa menu with the option of a pitcher to share for the table. Making a reservation for brunch was super easy and they were pretty accommodating- I'd definitely recommend giving them a try for brunch, especially for larger groups. read more

Comfortable temp when you walk in. Clean and the food was fantastic! I usually eat and take a doggy bag not this day, finished almost every bite! Sorry for the half eaten pic, it was just so so good! Try the shrimp omelet and waffle, you will not be disappointed. read more

This is what I thought...Mimosa's could not have been more accommodating to our group of seniors from Castle Senior Living. They seated our group of 13 in an easily accessible private room. The food was delicious and Amanda F. was a patient, kind and efficient server. We will definitely be back! read more

Huge menu! Our food was very good. Server was attentive despite the restaurant being packed. Recommend getting on waitlist in advance.

Great place for breakfast. Reserving a table, service, and food were great. My family especially liked the homemade and organic options.

The 2/5 is not because of the taste of food. That is incredibly good and saves this from being a 1/5. However, the food can't make up for the lack of hospitality we constantly get here. I've been here 5 times and not once has there been a great server to take care of us. They nickel and dime you for every little thing and then never pay attention to your table. Our last visit with the skillet ordered we asked for some sauce. Whether it was hot sauce, salsa, or whatever sauce they put in it. The server was very quick to just run off when we asked for sauce and just said yea no problem, be right back. Well... Be right back was 30 minutes later to bring us the check. No check in, no water refill, nothing... If that wasn't bad enough there was a $1.00 charge for extra sauce that was never brought. I mentioned it to her and she looks over to the window and says oh I see it on the window would you like me to grab it? My simple answer was I don't think it's needed as the dish it was for is gone and I would just like that taken off the bill. We then had to wait 10 more minutes to pay. I highly recommend they work on training staff to serve better to match the quality of the food. read more

Outstanding service no matter how busy it is. The skillets with quinoa are the absolute best. I love the side of pancakes too. I do not recommend the omelettes though. Not enough filling for my liking read more

Our party of 14 (including 7 kids ages 5 and under) had an excellent time. Friday morning at 10am and we had the whole back room to ourselves. Food was great, but the General Manager J.D. really went above and beyond for us. He checked in on us multiple times and had nice conversations with the kids, and even offered to-go cups for all the kids drinks. Very nice experience. Pitcher mimosas were delicious and everyone loved their meals. Will come back next time we are in Wisconsin. read more

Came here on Father's Day - the waitlist/queue was managed really well and we were able to get seated right away. Long outdoor lines at all the other places in the area. Food was great, I had the smoked pecan waffles and would highly recommend them. read more

Waste of money! We paid $8.95 for pancakes, which came with 2 average sized pancakes, NO sides and they tasted like frozen pancakes. Our soda and lemonade were flat. Service was less than average. Disappointing brunch to say the least. There are many other places in the area that blow it away and you get way more bang for you buck, I recommend First watch or Golden nest. Would I go again to Mimosa, no, and neither would the person I dined with. read more

I wanted to like this place, I really did. Unless you have a day to blow to and a lot of patience, I'd avoid it. Sadly, the summary of my visit can be described as "forgotten." First, reservations are required (this has nothing to do with my low score, but is informative.) After a rude man jumped to the front of a 4-group deep line, he was told it was a 2 hour wait. (I had reservations.) Definitely make reservations. Second, as I was seated & joined my friends, I wanted to order a mimosa. When the server came to deliver the drinks to my already-seated friends, I had to ask him if I could please order a drink with him. Why am I begging to order a drink? That drink wouldn't arrive for 25 minutes, and only after I had to flag down 2 different servers to try to help me. Menu was fun, lots of options, and my food was good. Nothing "awesome" but it was good. Coffee was burnt, and we also had to beg for service to get a refill. No condiments offered, again, unless you manage to flag down a server. The toast served with your breakfast won't come with jelly or jam; by the time I could have gotten attention to (again) ask for some, I could have gone to the store & back with my own. The reason for my low score is that not only did I have to keep flagging down a running server, but that they'd forget EVERY time we asked for something and we'd have to flag down again (irritating), wait again (while my food gets cold), and then try to politely beg for basic things. Overall, again, the food was good, and the servers were nice, but the service was just bad. I did ask one of our servers if they were understaffed & busy, as it was a Sunday.....She told me "this isn't busy, this is pretty slow." Do with this what you will, but I'm bummed that we won't be returning. read more

Much like their location in Oak Creek the food is decent but the service while friendly enough was on about a first grade level. Everything from incorrect orders, to SLOW service. read more

Service was lacking... We were told we could wait by the bar while our table was getting ready. While at the bar no one really cared to take our order ( we wanted to have drinks while waited) at some point someone came with me with menus in hand and asked us if we were waiting for a table to which I responded "Yes but..." didn't even let me finish and she was gone. Also, the guy prepping the drinks behind the bar told the waitress not to send people to the bar if they were not eating there ... right in front of us. Granted he said that in Spanish but I guess he shouldn't have assumed we didn't speak Spanish. Once we got our table the waiter was very nice and diligent. Food wasn't amazing though, kinda bland. Ive had better for less $ within the Brookfield area. read more

This place was incredible. My family and I dined here early on a Sunday afternoon for my mom's birthday. We were glad we made reservations days in advance, as there was a large and sizable crowd waiting for a seat at 12:30p when we got there. Everything from the service to the food to the ambiance of the restaurant is amazing. We were helped by four various servers during our meal, some dropping off water and food and others taking our drink and food orders, and all of them were very helpful, very knowledgeable, and just seemed like they were in a good mood. While I didn't get an alcoholic brunch beverage, my brothers got a Bloody Mary and Mimosa and said they were excellent. I had iced coffee instead that was pretty good. The food was outstanding--I got the Chicken Chicken Chorizo and Eggs, and it was a ton of food. Enough that I probably could've split it with someone and still have been full, but that worked out because I basically got two meals for the price of one. The eggs were perfectly fluffy, the gravy was the perfect consistency, the pulled chicken breast and chicken chorizo tasted phenomenal alone or when mixed with the gravy, and the potatoes were delicious (there was some kind of special seasoning on them, and they tasted unlike any other breakfast potatoes I've had, in a very good way). To top it all off, a side order of three buttermilk pancakes came with it, and they were also great. The rest of the table also said their food was A-Plus, and for the price we paid for the food, it felt like a steal. Loved the atmosphere, the service, and the food. Will definitely be back! read more

Always clean and the food is so good. Both locations are a treat! Best to call ahead as weekends can have a long wait list.

I got eggs Benedict per usual and it was not bad, but the coffee wasn't great. I also noticed - minor detail and personal preference, but there was no plain white sugar. Just the cane sugar or stevia. My friend got the souvla skillet and absolutely loved it. read more

I won't be going here again. The food is mediocre. The service is less than mediocre. I had 3 experiences here. The first was great. The 2nd time wasn't great. Had a party of 13 and the service was terrible... and of course 20% gratuity was automatically added which is understandable due to the size of our group but not for the service or I should say lack of service that we received. Today had a reservation for 5, I called at 9 am (for a 12 pm reservation) to add people to the reservation and they refused to do it. Refused to accept an additional reservation for a table of 5. No apologies or accommodation just "no we can't do that" Too many restaurants in the city to go to an establishment that truly doesn't care about the clientele. read more

I would give them a 5 star for fresh eggs and food in general but eggs need to be cooked perfectly for a breakfast place!! A little on the loud side but friendliness of staff makes up for the noise level!! I would definitely come back. read more

Went for brunch last week, party of 3. My friend had hairs (plural) in her crepes. We stopped the first employee we saw and let them know. They apologized and brought her a new meal. But neither of our actual servers apologized or came over to acknowledge what happened. My brothers' sandwich had definitely sat under a heat lamp for a while before it was brought to him. Disappointing service, especially since we have had great experiences at the other Mimosa location. read more

Food was solid. Not exceptional. Bloody Mary was terrible. Absolutely no flavor despite request for it to be spicy. Service was good.

We're here in Wisconsin for a wedding and ate at mimosa today. Great breakfast, for a great price. Good amount of food, everything was very delicious. The wait staff was incredibly friendly, next time we're in this part of the country, we will definitely stop by again. read more

I had the eggs benedict with breakfast potatoes and I added a small size of fruit. The eggs benedict and breakfast potatoes were the absolute BEST I have ever had they were perfect and so incredibly tasty you can absolutely tell they use fresh ingredients and the side of fruit at first looked like the regular not so good side of fruit you get at a basic restaurant but the fruit was very fresh and delicious once I tasted it-even the honeydew and cantaloupe. I really like how they have the different roles for staff AND our food literally came within 7 minutes of ordering it was incredibly fast especially based on how busy they were. I would absolutely give Mimosa 5 stars but they failed to keep their capacity limited due to the pandemic. I often do not go out to eat I only have one other time since being partially vaccinated and I really wish they would do a limited capacity since there was no social distancing. read more

So this is my first time at this location. I was trying to go to a different place but was closed so I came here and lets just say I am so happy I did. First coming to parking lot it was super busy looking. But don't let this discourage you from coming in. You have to call them before you walk in to put yourself on the list and they will let you know when you can go in. It is larger than other location and clean and bright and nice inside. The staff are like well oiled machines you have a waiter and 2 separate others for drinks and your food. They are quick and consistent and clean right away. I had the 3 meat Omelette. This was so good with sausage, ham ,bacon and the best amount of gooey cheese to string over your fork. I'm so happy to see places doing their breakfast potatoes instead of hashbrowns these were spot on browned a little crunch with soft insides and you can top them with other ingredients for an extra charge. I just opted for cholua this day I enjoyed that but maybe next time cheese and sour cream with cholua( mouth is watering thinking about the next time.) Plus you get choice of pancakes or fruit I went for pancakes because why not? These are not large but good enough size and perfectly done golden fluffy syrup soaking pillows of yumminess. Everything was freshly made super nice and hot. They do have more than just breakfast like burgers or salads and sandwiches as well. When you go to pay they have you at the table pay them on a device right away no contact so nice and convenient. I'm certain to go back and try some of the other varieties of foods they offer. read more

Great breakfast & brunch place for couples and families. Large eating area with plenty of booths and different sizes of tables. Has that nice morning fresh feeling of a morning due to its interior design and its good placement on top of the hill with a good view of Bluemound Rd and its local businesses. The service is professional and they use there tablets well for taking orders instantly. It was very easy to also book a reservation using their website or calling in. Lastly they were on point in calling our reservation... And the food came out in very fast time given they had all tables filled when we were there. We had a bluberry pancake and shrimp omelet. Both were baked and overall very well cooked. Blueberry seems to be a flavor they offer for multiple dishes. The shrimp was cooked really well and a bit marinaded, Great. Their omelet was prepared with a great mix of scrambled and just the right temperature. Pancakes were very well baked with a fluffy & dough taste... Can't wait to try their blueberry omelet as we've never had a fruit omelet before with some cider. read more

Mimosa - Shrimp omelet with baked potatos. Blubbery pancakes with strawberry. And apple juice - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Brookfield, Wisconsin

We gathered at Mimosa's to celebrate the Birthday of a Wonderful Lady. It was a new place for me but she had been there several times so we were looking forward to it. This is a Brunch Restaurant with several options on the Menu. My friends chose Corned Beef Hash Omelet, Chicken & Waffles, Stuffed French Toast and A Chicken Salad Sandwich. Everyone enjoyed their choices. I decided on my standard All-American Breakfast of Scrambled Eggs with Cheddar Cheese, Bacon and Pancakes. I enjoyed the Bacon and Pancakes most. The Bacon was crisp and fried hard as I prefer it. The Small Short Stack was light and fluffy. I think I'll order my Eggs over easy as the Eggs were not to my liking - seemed to be preprocessed and a bit rubbery. The menu was extensive so I plan to go again and try one of the items my friends were raving about. read more

Nice spot for breakfast. The portions are are just enough. Compared to similar spots, the side pancakes are very small.

Food was fresh and delicious. Mimosas were so good. Great customer service, loved everything!

Don't plan on eating here if you haven't made a reservation WEEKS in advance. When I joined the waitlist using the yelp app it stated the wait time was 55-65 minutes. We got to the restaurant to check in 50 minutes after joining and they told us it would be another 30-45 minutes, so we decided to be patient and wait. After an hour of waiting in the very cramped restaurant we decided to ask the host how much longer and she said another 30 minutes. Meaning my group would get seated 2 hours and 20 minutes after joining the waitlist... so we decided to leave and go to Starbucks instead. The food is good, but not worth the wait or price. I'll take my business elsewhere... read more

Came in at 10am on a Sunday for brunch. They don't take reservations on Sunday so we were looking at a 45 minute wait for a table for 4. The bar area had ample seating and waiting space, however. Mimosa does not have a full liquor license, so your drinks are limited to things that have sake, champagne or beer. I had a few bloody marys (which were made with sake instead of vodka) that were delicious and had the biggest, thickest piece of bacon that I've ever had in a bloody. The service was fantastic--quick, knowledgeable, friendly and attentive. I ordered the Pollo Picante Omelette which was fantastic. I also recommend their multi-grain bread for toast--very good. The only real bottleneck inside was paying. The servers don't process your payments, it needs to be done at the front register. We sat at our table for 15 minutes waiting for the line to get smaller than 10 people waiting to pay, but it never went down. Not a big deal, but something to keep an eye out for. Parking isn't great--there is limited space near the restaurant and tight spaces for two cars to get by. My recommendation is to park further away when you turn in off of Bluemound and just concede to walk up the hill. Much less stress! A nice addition to the brunch scene in Waukesha County! read more

Food and staff were outstanding. Always treated like family here. A must for an amazing breakfast experience.

Food is good, but IT'S TOO LOUD IN THIS RESTAURANT. We could barely hear each other talk.

Unmatched breakfast spot. It has a high end feel but welcoming to any and all customers. Food is always on point whether you're dining or carrying out. The chicken chorizo is incredible! I would definitely recommend that dish but everything we've tried it amazing. read more

Wanted to try a new place for brunch to celebrate our anniversary. We set reservations a day prior and were seated promptly upon arrival. The only complaint is that when being served beverages the cups were not throughly cleaned. Both were delicious and generously portioned as there was leftovers to bring home. read more
