Came by this afternoon around 2 wasn't even crowded but I noticed they've raised their prices from $14.99 to $15.99 (AYCE) on the weekdays and $17.99 to $18.99 on the weekends. I guess word got around that they're still open for business. Food has been excellent though I tend to avoid seafood or any kind of fish, oysters, clams and crabs. Loved the combination fried rice, chow mein, pizza, french fries, fried shrimps along with sushi rolls and dessert. Must had four plates of food including dessert and salad worth every penny. Customers are required to put on disposable gloves when handling food and masks are still required. Plenty of parking and the staff have been excellent always refill my drinks. This buffet has been here for a decades. It may not look all fancy , but their services is fast . The workers are quick to pick up your dirty plates . The desserts are limited, but I am usually there for the snow crabs . This buffet place is always pack , but this buffet has been my family's favorites. Honestly, the most terrifying buffet I've ever been to. I came here not knowing what to expect (my first mistake). Right when I entered, I saw the tables not socially distanced from each other and so many people in such a close proximity. Many of the people weren't even wearing the gloves provided while getting food or wearing masks. The food was not good. It tasted like it has been sitting there for a long time and not very unique at all. There weren't many options to pick from so it was difficult to find even one thing that I liked. When you walk in they have you sanitize and grab gloves. Many folks were reusing gloves, I re-sanitized and grabbed new ones. They lost a star for cleanliness during Covid The selection is pretty good but my favorites were: Spicy short ribs, they were not spicy but were the most tasty item on my plate! They actually pay attention to your water cup to ask if you if you need more water and they give you a bit load of napkins when you're seated, which is nice so you don't have to keep bugging them for napkins. ~~Best Part: The King Crab. They did a good job of making sure that there was a new batch out within a couple of minutes if it's running low and it's just steamed so you can add your own flavor. I do not recommend going to this buffet. The food is not even that good. Buffets really went down hill nowadays. Not only is it expensive now but the service isn't even that great. Visited Milpitas Buffet on 06/24/22. We were a party of 22 so we called ahead for a reservation. When we arrived, none of the employees knew we had a reservation for 22 people. Once we were all seated, the food tasted fresh and no one complained but all were pleased with their meal. Upon going to the restroom to freshen up. A portion of the floor was pretty slippery, even an employee said be careful. My granddaughter had already warned me that it was going to be slippery as she had been there before. What was it...grease? Our waitress was right on point in removing used dishes and asking if we wanted anymore drinks. We didn't know her tip was added to the tab so we tipped her again. This is the best Chinese Buffett in the bay area hands down. Food quality is great and perfectly seasoned without it being too salty or overcooked. The pricing is very cheap too.
