I've had I don't know how many computers from every brand and company you can think of. My last computer was a Dell I got from Best Buy. They told me it was a top of the line Dell and that I could count on many years of service but unfortunately it died on me a year later. I brought it in to their Geek Squad people and they said they were going to charge me an absurd amount of money to recover my data and fix it up again even after I got their warranty. I had been through every loop of Best Buy's Geek Squad and Dell's system for nearly 3 weeks until I ended up giving Mike and Mike a call. I was a little skeptical of craigslist at first but I tried nearly everything else and it failed so I figured I might as well give them a shot. I was pleasantly surprised with the customer service I received from Mike and Mike. After a quick inspection they were able to give me a flat fee for recovering my data and transferring it to whatever I wanted. After looking at some options with them, they were able to get me a desktop that normally ran for $1,399 for $800! It's a wonderful computer so far and they were able to get me back up and running the day I got the computer. What really did it for me was that they said they would be the ones to deal with Lenovo (the computer brand) and wait on hold if ever a problem should arise. I'll admit, I'm not the easiest customer to please as Mike and Mike can attest, but they were patient and helpful with high quality products that fit my budget. I have to concur with my fellow customers below! I am a small business owner that was recently working on my year end bookkeeping. I had input over 9 months of data over the span of a couple of weeks. Of course, I backed up the data...but to the very same hard drive as the original files! Then, I had my first hard drive crash ever in 15 years of computing with about 7 different computers. I too was quoted some astronomical prices before turning to Craigslist and finding Mike and Mike. I was able to reach Mike live with just my first phone call and I was on my way to deliver my hard drive to him within minutes. Although he cautioned he may not be able to recover anything without going a more expensive route, he said he would try his best to help. True to his word, Mike worked diligently on my hard drive, even throughout the weekend, giving me updates and eventually bringing my drive back to life! I was able to pick up my valuable data on a Sunday and get back to the business of paying taxes, etc....yea. Let me just start out by saying Mike and Mike's computer saved my final grade! I was really in a bind with my dell computer. Dell had sent a technician out to replace my motherboard. After the motherboard was replaced I knew something was amiss. My computer was not booting up properly so I went with my first instinct I called Dell. Dell was only offering me phone support after about 4 hours on the phone being transferred I decided enough was enough. Then I moved to plan b , Best Buy. When I took the unit to Best Buy they informed me that they would have my unit for a minimum of 2 weeks! This was during finals time so any service that had a benchmark of too weeks would have in turn effected my grade! I decided to try out one of the local businesses. I found Mike and Mike Computer on Criagslist. I gave them a call and Mike himself answered the call! I was very surprised and impressed with the quality of service he provided me. Mike and Mike Computers has been working with us steadily for over 2 years now and they are the absolute BEST when it comes to PC, feature, and product knowledge and troubleshooting. Mike and Mike computers is Awesome. I cant find words to say how grateful I am to them for sorting out my mess. My harddrive died, so i took my computer to best buy and got some ridiculously expensive quote to recover my files. I thought i was doomed, so i took a look at yelp and found mike and mike computers. I called them up and mike and mike computers did the whole job for much much less than best buy. I was so happy that i found them. I have also had one of their technicians come down to my house to setup wifi wireless internet in my house so that my laptop and iphone can connect while im at home. A few months later PG&E installed a smart meter in my home causing every piece of electronic equipment including my computer to crash simultaneously. Naturally warm and friendly, they are people you can feel comfortable coming into your home. Mike and Mike are a father- son team, plus they employ others--clearly. The customer can pay for a Level 1, Level 2 or Level 3 tech which means if you need something minor you don't have to pay top dollar, etc. Mike Sr. came up working at IBM and really knows his stuff. I first met Mike in December 2007. I am a graduate student who lost at 20 page paper during finals. Enough said. Mike made a house call, cleaned out my computer (whatever that means because I am completely tech challenged), he loaded a superior anit-virus AND........most importantly located my paper. There it was buried under things i didn't even know were in my computer. Maybe he should teach a class, too. He was professional, friendly, approachable, sincere and earnest in helping me. After reading the other yelp reviews, I decided to give this company a shot at my pc issues. After their great work I would recommend this company to my friends and anyone who is looking for help with their computers. They came to my place and sorted out my wireless network. I also learned that this company can recover harddrives which was such a relief because my old computer had crashed. They did a good job of it and charged me much less than what Best buy quoted me. I would give you six stars if i could. I wish I had found them before I bought my computer from best buy. At best buy they tried to sell me some extended warranty which didnt even cover my computer problems. I consider Mike of Mike and Mike Computers a real find as he was able to take my call on the week-end and provide service within a few hours. Pretty hard to get instant service these days. He did a lot of trouble shooting as well as install a router. He optimized my new and old computers and made sure the wireless connections were working properly. He is professional, patient, a good educator, extremely proficient and very personable. What's not to like? I am a musician who writes music exclusively on the computer... i was a week away from finishing my 1st album when my hard-drive said it's final goodbye and of course i was too stupid to have backed anything up. Last month, I had a Samsung 500GB hard drive that I had reformatted as a Linux ext3 format (it was housed within a Buffalo Linkstation NAS drive). It was completely unresponsive, and I had a couple of years of data on it. I had tried everything to recover it, without any luck. I drove over to their office on a Saturday afternoon, and Mike put off playing tennis with his son to meet me. Mike had the drive working within a half-hour of my arrival -- and I recovered all of my data. Worth every penny. i was nervous to let anyone take my laptop (i.e. my lifeline, since I'm a small business owner) out of my home, but when I met Mike and Mike, they were very genuine and I decided to trust them. I have a Mac and my problem (of course) was Microsoft related. I received good communication along the way, and it really came down to my own user error in how I set up my virtual windows machine. Bottom line: when more expensive options were available, these weren't necessarily the ones that Mike Sr. suggested. Lost 20GB+ home videos and pictures in HD after system crashed (HD has been formatted) one year ago. He is so awesome to recover almost all pictures back. They are priceless for us with our son's pictures from new born to 2+ years old. We checked some guys and repair shops but "Mike & Mike" (We found him in Craigslist) did the best job and completed recover with reasonable charge (will tell you in advance for each step he did). Mike is a class act and a very caring, professional, and competent businessman. Two hard drives of mine crashed in two months time. This guy is a joke. He is not straightforward about anything. Ask him anything and he'll say it's a "company" secret. The "company" consists of him and MAYBE one other sleaze ball.
