We had two falafel pitas delivered through Grubhub and they came quickly. The Mediterranean wrap's hummus was very peppery, and the other toppings were tzatziki and pickled cucumber. The picado wrap jalapeños were spicy, with tzatziki, red onion, and green bell pepper as the other toppings. Both wraps were good, neither was great enough that we'd order again. The side of Greek fries was good; we used ketchup rather than the salad dressing it came with. The tabouleh salad wasn't like tabouleh that I've ever had before--it was very loose, just lots of chopped herbs, some tomato pieces and tiny couscous. I liked this place because it is super close to my friends house and it has tons of parking behind the restaurant. The inside is a good size and very clean. I like that they have dispensers full of sriracha sauce too haha. The gyro was tasty and the food was overall good, however the portion sizes were small. I asked for extra meat after she completed my transaction and she told me that she couldn't charge me for a side of gyro now because I had already paid. And if I wanted more I would have to purchase the $6 something that had meat with pita and sauce. I think its a little ridiculous that you can't just buy a side of gyro and they weren't willing to make an exception to please the customer. They lost the sale and a customer! read more

I kind of oscillated between 3 and 4 stars, and decided on 4 stars for the overall experience. The food overall was probably 3 stars. Very nice shop. Nice and clean, modern, and a very friendly lady working at the counter. Free WiFi, too. I asked a couple of questions about the menu and she gave me the info I needed, then I ordered. I got the gyro with a side salad and a drink, all for $10.77. Good price. Free refills on sodas with a self-serve fountain station. Plenty of extra parking behind the store with a rear entrance. One thing I wish it had more of was sauce, both for the salad and the cucumber sauce for the gyro. Everything tasted fine but I did wish I had asked for some extra on the side. The gyro itself is typical, but I'm a bit spoiled. My favorite place has large, soft strips of meat so I'm a bit disappointed by the places that serve the thinner, harder strips. It tends to make the dish feel a bit average. If you want to stand out you have to do something different. But like I said, the place and experience was good overall. Solid Greek food. Definitely better then a lot of the other Greek places around, probably the best I've had in central Phoenix (which isn't necessarily a complement). We live in the neighborhood so we were excited when this place opened up. They have obviously put some money into this place, taking down a couple of walls and completely remodeling the interior. Food was good. Good tzatziki sauce, good meat on the gyro, overall pretty good. Fry's were good, not spectacular, but good. We hope this place has a chance to stick around for a while in this difficult spot, the neighborhood will be thankful to have good Greek food nearby. read more

Staying at a hotel around the corner, found Mika's on Yelp, saw positive rating, checked their website, liked the menu, stopped in, and boooooyeahhhhh! I had the Greekpeño and fries. Everything put together quickly from scratch, gyro meat was great, pickles and hummus and romaine all worked together perfectly, the pita didn't fall apart, it didn't leak all over the place (not that this is bad in a Greek/Middle Eastern sandwich, but maybe not if you're driving or on a date or something), and it was all delicious! Tried Mika's out tonight as my husband was having a procedure done at St. Joseph's across the street. I had tried calling, no answer but when I got there l understand why! My wife, daughter and I were looking for some Greek type food, leaning toward healthy and tasty. We saw the yelp reviews but were very disappointed. I had the falafel pita with Greek salad. The salad was ok, but the falafel were discs which seemed dry, overcooked and did not have much depth or flavor. I am assuming these were frozen type not homemade. My daughter ordered some chicken and she just got a plate of chicken pieces, no nothing with it, no greens, bread, zero with it. My wife had a sampler plate of humus, grape leaves and pita. The grape leaves were very good but the rest was just ok. The most annoying thing was that "fresh brewed icea tea" was on the menu. Was disappointed based on previous reviews that state this is amazing food. The food was ordered for pickup and I was missing items from my order. I ordered the large plate and did not get any rice I just got the chicken kabob and the tomato's and onions with some pita- ordered Baklava, it was not even a full piece of Baklava it was the smallest of pieces that I have ever gotten from ANYWHERE. The chicken was tender and moist but the seasoning was not Mediterranean, it was just like I BBQ'd it in my own backyard with maybe some salt but had zero flavor. If anyone asks me about greek food I will refer them to "the Great Greek" but will have to travel to Las Vegas, Nevada to get it as that is the best Greek food I have ever had and they add more to their plates and have Great flavors in their meats, and homemade dressing and the thickest and creamiest tzatziki I have ever tasted. Maybe Mika should look up The Great Greek and take some pointers on how to do a dish the proper way to get repeat visitors. I got the Greekpeño Pita with falafel and a side of soup. Really tasty quick and cheap Mediterranean food! My falafel Pita came out in 5 minutes and was delicious! The falafels were perfect! Crunchy on the outside, soft and flavorful and even a bit spicy on the inside. My lentil soup was piping hot and very tasty. Exactly what I was craving and perfect to wash down the Pita.
