This is an odd Mighty-O location. The store is long and narrow. Though the space is relatively large, this configuration makes it feel smaller than it is. It's a handsome, modern, and hip looking location. It's not a cooking location. They just resell the donuts made elsewhere. This location is basically a small coffee shop that sells Mighty-O Donuts. And the donut case is not large, meaning they have a more limited selection than the main Mighty-O locations. But the donuts are fresh and tasty. They are the most amazingly good cake donuts on the planet. You should try them if you haven't already. I really wanted some donuts for after my diabetic testing for my pregnancy. Mighty O was right up the street from Swedish we had some time so we went! Last time I went to mighty o I was pleased. I got these crunchy amazing tasting donuts. This time I was not impressed at all The donuts were very thick and dense There was no crunchy texture like I loved the first time My kids wouldn't even eat these donuts It ended up being a total waste of money Which was quite a bit for 6 donuts. Unfortunately I don't see me going back there's just way too many delicious donut places to go to. Thankful for Mighty-O Donuts offering vegan options! We were in Seattle for the weekend and found this spot. They have a variety of different donuts. Note that the majority of them are the deep-fried style donuts. We had the half dozen donuts: Nutty Vanilla, Nutty French Toast, Double Chocolate, Sprinkles, Mint chocolate, and sugar-coated donuts. I tried a chocolate peanut butter and coffee bomb. I like cake donuts and appreciate that they make those here. The coffee bomb didn't taste like coffee. I'm kind of surprised since they say that is one of their most popular donuts. The chocolate one was OK but could definitely use more chocolate. The texture and crunchy crust was delicious. Yum! We randomly stumbled across this donut shop in Capitol Hill while waiting in line at a shop nearby. The store was big for a donut shop and there was a large variety of cake, regular, and fritter donuts. The chocolate peanut butter donut was DELICIOUS. It's perfect paired with a hot americano. The other cake donut we tried (ginger spice seasonal donut) was fine but very gingery and the dough was a bit dry. The guys that worked here were awesome and were happy to let us sample some of the donuts along with throwing in a couple extra mini donuts (donut holes) for us. Inside, there was a lot of seating and the whole place was very airy and great to meet friends for coffee. I would definitely go back if we were ever in the area and looking for a quick breakfast or snack. However, it wouldn't be a place we'd make a trip out of the way for. read more

I don't know what it is about Mighty-O... but I think it's the only doughnut shop where my family can finish a dozen in one day. Never mind Top Pot or Voodoo... I think Mighty O has the BEST doughnuts in the PNW, maybe on the west coast (I have yet to try a doughnut in the Bay Area or SoCal that gives me the same satisfaction). They're just... good. And to think they're organic and vegan?! That makes them healthier than regular doughnuts, right? ;) Jokes aside, Mighty-O doughnuts are REALLY good. They're tasty, sweet, and they don't make you feel heavy afterward eating just 1. I'm not the biggest fan of cake doughnuts at other places, but these have a GREAT texture that's somewhere between crispy and fluffy. It makes them addicting to eat. Then there's the flavor... it's just the right amount of sweetness! Some places you get tired of eating a doughnut after just a few bites - the sweetness starts to overwhelm you. I experience this a lot with Krispy Kreme, such that it's difficult for my family of 4 to finish 1 dozen. Mighty-O is nothing like that - yeah they're sweet, but the flavors of each doughnut actually counterbalance the sugar. Like the fruity doughnuts have a lot of fruity flavor - the icing on the lemon poppy seed has a great lemon flavor and any of the raspberry iced doughnuts are so fruity! It's delicious. My personal favorites are: - Nutty Chocolate: The roasted peanuts are a great touch with the chocolate. - Chocolate Peanut Butter: A bit like the nutty chocolate, but I love the peanut butter taste! - Chocolate Raspberry: I'm surprised how fruity the glaze is... Raspberry Riot is a good alternative if they're out of Chocolate Raspberry. - Lemon Poppy: Again, really good lemon flavor in the glaze. - French Toast: As the name implies, tastes like french toast in a doughnut! So while they may not have the celebrity status of Top Pot nor the weird novelty flavors of Voodoo... I think Mighty-O is the superior doughnut in terms of quality. Yeah doughnuts are pricier than what you're used to paying, but they are worth it. Plus if you come in during the last hour, their doughnuts are 50% off for HH. You can buy them at Whole Foods, but I think they taste better fresh from the store and there's more variety to choose from. Plus they last for about 2 days, with still great taste and texture. Now if only Mighty-O would open up shop in like DT Tacoma... those of us in the South End want more accessible doughnuts! read more

I'm not giving this fewer stars because TBH they mostly only make cake donuts and I HATE cake donuts, but if you like them this might be your place. And the store was immaculately clean, so points there as well. But I ordered one of the few non-cake donuts they offered - an apple fritter - and immediately regretted it. It was really dark, like it has cooked too long, and was so chewy it was like eating a ball of burnt glazed rubber bands and some mushy apple pieces. Made the trek out, circled around to find parking about 6 times. First of all, the person who was behind the counter was SO nice. We walked in here for a quick donut and I was dismayed to see the donuts already made and behind a glass case on plates. They didn't look like they would be fresh. Ever since rediscovering my love for donuts, I've been on a quest to find the best vegan donuts, as allergies, diets and the like had wrenched me from my pastry of choice in the years before the vegan / organic foods boom. I thought I had found perfection in LA, but traveling to the Pacific Northwest, specifically Seattle, made me realize that everything I knew was wrong. Mighty-O, you take the cake; these donuts are mighty fine! Mighty-O offers a wide selection of donuts that will please the pickiest of people. That being said, don't expect crazy flavors featuring fruit loops and bacon. Donuts are either cake (chocolate or vanilla) or raised. I stuck to the cake donuts, and thought the cake as heavy or dry as some vegan desserts I've encountered. While it wasn't the moistest vegan cake donut I've had, the texture and flavor were good enough to fool my non-vegan/allergy-free friend. Of the donuts I ordered, I particularly liked the seasonal pumpkin, glazed chocolate, and the cuckoo for coconut. Though the donuts were on the smaller size, they were priced lower than other gourmet vegan donuts: $1.75 for classic and $2.50 for decadent/supreme. Cool fact: I even saw Mighty-O donuts being sold at PCC, so that must mean they've gotten the trendy, organic, up-market seal of approval. Although I had originally planned on visiting the main branch, this recently opened branch - clean, modern, open - was situated closer to where I was staying. The workers here were immensely friendly and patient. While this location didn't have the placards printed for their flavors yet, the workers kindly walked me through all the available flavors and answered all my questions. Hours are currently limited through the month of November, but will probably expand in the coming weeks. Street parking is available on any of the adjacent streets. Cash/credit are accepted. When it comes to sweets, donuts aren't the first thing I'll crave. I have had Mighty-O Donuts at various events: birthdays, weddings, potlucks, etc. And I have found them just A-ok. That is, until I set foot in here and had their lemon poppyseed donut. Can we say I'm in love?? The glaze gave the donut the right amount of lemon flavor (and sweetness) while the donut itself was not too heavy and moist. If my girls and I didn't eat at General Porpoise prior, I could have ate 2 donuts at Mighty-O. Don't judge us, we were on a mission to donut hop in the area lol. Pretty standard flavors to be honest - you got your glazed, chocolate raspberry, peanut, etc. I have nothing to compare it to, but these were pretty darn good - I ordered 8 of the mini donuts (mini so it's a guilt free binge!) at one go, and literally gobbled them up in an hour. As someone who eats good things and also very very not so good things it is important to me to be very inclusive of all diets when eating everything. I was a little overwhelmed at first by the energy (I'm a bit shy and reserved), but I came to appreciate it after spending some time there. The customer service was one of the best I have seen: They were responsive, showed character and personality, and made the overall experience enjoyable. The donut and chai were out of this world! I normally stay away from donuts because I find them too sweet, but I found the sweetness ratio to be just right (I tried their seasonal flavor).
