Pricy, but worth every penny. Food and service are both outstanding. Portions are adequate and this should be a destination restaurant.

As a food enthusiast,, I have been disappointed in many restaurants in Florida since moving here. I do acknowledge that this may be due to learning the ins and outs of a new town. That said, Migg's craft kitchen is one of the best I've had since moving to the Tampa area. I suggest giving it a chance! We enjoyed every course and hope they continue to be successful as good restaurants should be supported. Also, the prices are reasonable for the quality. There are some minor issues as is true of any new restaurant such as clearing the appetizer plates when serving the main course. I am confident that these things will be resolved as the place matures, but want to ensure people reading this review know that I do not make this recommendation lightly. read more

Truly a great food experience. We never heard of Miggs Craft Kitchen and decided to give it a try because of the reviews we saw right here on Yelp. So not only is the food exceptional, the service is also wonderful and the owner/chef is young, talented and has a huge future as a Restauranteur. My husband and I showed up at 5pm without reservations. They were booked on this Friday night but still took us in. May (MAE?) our waitress was fantastic, informative, attentive and humorous (great hire). The food was excellent. We ordered Tuna Tartar, seafood pad tai and saffron seafood risotto. My husband ordered sangria which was smoke infused at table side (excellent)! We ordered their apricot cobbler for desert! We will definitely be back soon AFTER making reservations. read more

Very disappointed. My partners short rib was tender and delicious. My lamb tenderloin was awful. It was overcooked, tough and had no lamb flavor. I had to force myself to eat it. I couldn't say anything because he took me out for a special night and I didn't want him to know how bad it was and be disappointed since he chose this place to take me. We aren't drinkers so he had lemonade and I had iced tea. Both were water with a lemon slice." - for $5 each. The tea wasn't even the color of tea... it was light orange. They were out of desserts (other than bread pudding) at 7:30 on a Friday night. The server dropped the food at our table and we never saw him again until we flagged him down and asked for dessert. It has potential but it was so uncomfortably hot in there and servings were far too small. Not worth the price, we left hungry.

We have eaten here twice. Once for dinner and once for brunch. Both were great. Don't turn up your nose because it's in a strip center, the interior is very upscale and the service was excellent. If you order don't miss the calamari appetizer. No one in our party of four didn't like what they ordered. The menu is very eclectic, so you should be able to find something that appeals to you. Fantastic! Do not miss this place. It's everything you want in a great restaurant. Well thought out lighting & decor, comfortable but polished presentation, excellent, welcoMing wait staff. The food was phenomenal; the salads a cornucopia of colors, textures & tastes, with homemade croutons, the creamy squash soup was a melding of flavors that were indescribably delicious. The bass & the scallops entrees were flavorful and cooked to perfection. Chocolate lava cake with strawberries was like a soothing, chocolaty soufflé. Well done. I wanted to have dinner here, but plans were changed. Instead I ordered two of their salads to go. The young gal who took my order was great & very straight forward. She said two salads would suffice & she was spot on. We arrived a little late, but they were ready for us. Same gal, really nice. The space is quite hip & you could see some of the chefs working. What can I say other than Yum Yum, Yum. First time at Miggs and will not be the last. We went for lunch and had Asian glazed crispy calamari which was not the typical calamari served in most restaurants. Definitely the best we have ever had. Our second dish were the wild jumbo scallops with bacon Lardon again another stellar dish. We also ordered the jumbo shrimp braised in lobster stock, which had incredible flavor. The menu is very creative and well executed. Our server May was wonderful even recommending our dessert, which was the bread pudding with ice cream, again another hit. There really wasn't much to offer in the way of "lunch" items, but I did enjoy a fantastic rib eye burger ($15) while my friend had a scallop dish ($28) that looked delicious. Hidden gem, folks!!!! Hidden in a tiny strip mall on Main Street! We stopped in to try a new spot for a late lunch. I'm so glad we did! Having not eaten all day, we were starving. I ordered some Sangria...the red, delicious. The couple next to us were sharing something so we asked for the same. Breakfast pizza. Thick bacon, cubes of chorizo, perfect egg for my hubbie. the menu said sunny side...he won't touch those. the chef was kind enough to make them them medium. What a treat! Salty meat, crunchy crust, velvety egg yolk. My husband ordered french toast. so so good. he's a big guy so the portion could have been larger. I got a shrimp dish. it was also very tasty. a tomato broth and toast points. we also had dessert. peach & blueberry cobbler with vanilla ice cream. i had a chocolate volcano cake. Both totally worthy of the sugar/calories consumed! While my 6'5" husband thought the portions small, I thought they were perfection. allowing us to have apps and dessert! Everything was fresh and flavorful. Also, let me mention the hostess extraordinaire, May, It was quite busy when we arrived and she moved from table to table swiftly and gracefully with a smile and not a smidgen of stress. Based on other yelp reviews, we decided on Miggs for lunch and very glad we did! It does look like a local bar from the outside, but it's got a nice fresh modern decor inside. Also, parking in Dunedin can be a pain, so this place having its own lot is a plus. Now to the important topic: food. So obvious it's a chef owned place. Elevated offerings in an eclectic mix of cuisines. We shared 3 appetizers for two of us and it was plenty. The Tuna tartar was our favorite, perfectly fresh sushi grade tuna, in a delicious marinade with crispy wonton base and spicy mayo. Delicious. Then the Gambas ajillo was tasty with a mash up of tempura and sautéed shrimp in a red sauce with lots of fresh cilantro; and finally the burrata with delicious bacon tomato compote, pickled vegetables and pesto with crostinis. All very good. I tried the passion fruit green iced tea. Tasty, if a little sweet for my taste. Other diners in the restaurant all were enjoying their food quite a bit as well. Four of us dined at Migg's Craft Kitchen last night. As it was a Friday evening we made reservations as we heard it was a small restaurant. We started with two appetizers. One was the fried and grilled calamari which was excellent. We also ordered the Shrimp Gambas appetizer and were amazed at how many large shrimp were included and cooked perfectly. Three of us then ordered awesome Shrimp Pad Thai and one ordered Salmon with carrot foam over asparagus. We were impressed and ended sharing one of their wonderful desserts of Peach Blueberry Cobbler with Vanilla Ice Cream. I enjoyed that the restaurant was quiet, simply but nicely decorated. OK this place was seriously good! It' doesn't look like much in a strip mall, but the ambience was clean, fresh, and quaint. The menu is relatively small but with good variety and changes regularly. Some unexpected twists on traditional foods that made it interesting and fun. It's all cooked to order and AMAZING. The kitchen is open to dining and we watched the owner/chef busily preparing meals. Inside is nice and very clean. Uncomfortable chairs and ok open atmosphere. House wine is quality and a good choice by chef. Ingredients seem to not be very fresh. Maybe because the place is empty and not turning tables. Wilted salad missing multiple advertised menu ingredients with old tasting onions not pickled properly. Shrimp tasted bland and steamed instead of sautéed. Scallops were translucent, just a bit undercooked however had a nice presentation. Calamari was over cooked and rubbery with coating falling off. tomato compote was too chunky to dip. Air conditioner is not working properly which did not help. Very stuffy and hot. read more
