Connecticut lobster roll
Mindy P.

We've been in Florida (Orlando and Tampa area) for a week now and this is the first fantastic meal we've had. Located in cute Dunedin, there's ample covered and uncovered and indoor seating here. The menu is fairly extensive with options for everyone. I ordered the spicy mango margarita, which was $14 and delicious, but very small (maybe 8oz), and the Connecticut (meaning hot) lobster roll. I've never had a lobster roll (I'm from the west coast). It came with fries and a kale apple coleslaw. Girl, this meal was FANTASTIC! The lobster was fresh, buttery and generous, overflowing from the buttery, soft brioche roll. I did add salt. The fries were perfection. And I loved the coleslaw! Someone else in our party got the lobster pot pie and that was a big hit too. The hubs got the lobster quesadilla, which was a recommendation of the waiter and he said was good, but it looked boring to me. The only downside was that our waiter REEKED of pot. He clearly smoked it before coming to our table and was breathing it onto us. Bad form. Smoke on your own time, man. I will definitely be back!

Absolutely amazing food. We started with the shrimp appetizer and lobster bisque. Both were delicious and I'd get them again. For my main I got the lobster roll served hot and instead of fries got double coleslaw. Their coleslaw is pretty unique like an apple coleslaw. I absolutely loved it. My husband got the lobster tail and thought it was fantastic. For drinks I got a spicy mango margarita and actually didn't like it. I switched to a sweet martini like drink on the menu next and it was much better (the drink menu on their website doesn't have all the drinks so I couldn't find the exact name.) My husband enjoyed his old fashioned. On a Friday night they had live music which was a lot of fun. Most of the seating is outside. If you get bit by mosquitos a lot (like I do), wear bug spray. Service was fantastic. Our server was very attentive. He brought us complimentary hush puppies which were also delicious (I wouldn't order it on my own, but when given I ate two of them.) The restaurant has its own free parking which is a nice touch. It was busy but even though we made reservations we probably didn't need them. I'll definitely be back.

Escargot

Had the clam chowder, I felt like it was very garlicy. I think we both wanted what we picked to taste like items we have had elsewhere. I read a review that they had escargot, I thought it was going to be the traditional escargot in garlic butter. The best way to describe it was a saucy garlic sauce that had escargot, lobster pieces and maybe crawfish. It had cute lobster buttery flaky roll- that was really tasty. I need something else , like French roll to be able to eat more of that sauce. It was just okay. Hubby had the lobster roll and ordered it hot. Just needed a little more butter. It is a small sandwich. It came with a small kale salad-that was tasty , needs to be in bowl the sauce was absorbed in his fries. Enjoy

Obsessed w Lucky Lobster in Dunedin! We're from CT, and this rivals some of the best lobster in New England. The Lobster rolls are packed full with fresh cold water lobster - served cold with mayo or hot with butter. The New England clam chowder is wonderful, lobster bisque is also delicious and hubby loved the lobster pot pie. We also love to huge outdoor seating area alongside the Pinellas trail and cant wait to go back!

Connecticut Lobster Roll with onion rings.

A great indoor and outdoor sports bar and restaurant, with really good service. Start with the Lobster Bisque, very good. The Connecticut Lobster Roll is excellent, made with complete lobster claw meat. The onion rings were a little overcooked. There is a full bar and a moderate but diverse wine list. Free parking nearby.

Emily, good bartender.. The lobster roll was very good, would've been better with some drawn butter.. blueberry margarita was tasty !!! Lobster bisque was delicious !!! Key lime pie could be a little tarter.. Over all I enjoyed it, Pricey !!!

We came in a little high maintenance and the hostess was a little annoyed with us but they were able to make it work. Ambience was great. We really enjoyed the live music. Our waiter was attentive. Most of the food was great. The kids burger was dry and inedible. Lobster roll was the star for sure.

Lobster BLT

I've never visited here but my parents had been multiple times and suggested it as a dinner option. Arrival & first impressions, the outdoor covered patio area is super adorably decorated for Christmas during December. It was cold but they had fires going and ended up closing the open end of the room so it warmed up nicely then. The food here was decent. I ordered the lobster BLT sliders which was a new concept for me. They had a great amount of tasty fresh lobster in them and the fries with them were pretty good as well, if a little soggier than I prefer. Mom had the lobster mac & cheese which I tried. Good portion and super creamy - I think her entree was the best of the ones we ordered. Husband got the fish & chips which was sadly overcooked in spots. Dad got a pepperoni pizza which was unfortunately the opposite, undercooked in spots. Some knocks are that the bread service advertised on the menu isn't free anymore - it's $3.99 now. Need to update the menus as the implication is that it's complimentary. Also we wanted to get lava cake for dessert for my mom's birthday & they were out of it unfortunately.

Blackberry margarita stole the show! Refreshing, vibrant flavor! You guys nailed the cocktail game!

"The blackberry margarita stole the show! So refreshing, vibrant flavor, and it paired amazingly with the lobster roll. You guys nailed the cocktail game--I'll be dreaming about this one until next time."

Whole belly clams, grilled octopus, Mexican street corn and guacamole and chips.
Dave D.

Very good! We enjoyed an expresso martini, with some small plates. The whole belly clams were great and the closest to new England here in FL. The grilled octopus was grilled perfectly and tasty. The guacamole and chips with Mexican street corn went along with this light dinner. The service was great, friendly and attentive. Thank You we will be back soon.

This was a fun place and great environment. Wass happy to see that they had enclosed the patio because of the cold weather. The food here was amazing, lobster busque was great, lobster on the pizza was great, the burger was great. The wine menu could use a little more uniqueness to match the menu.

It has a pretty amazing bakery section when you walk through the back door to enter the restaurant. I was starving and picked the biggest thing on the menu which is the smokehouse platter and you get a ton of food with this platter (Brisket, pulled pork, quarter rack of ribs all served with coleslaw, Texas toast & side of fries.) I thought the price was absolutely amazing because you get all the food for $28.95. Needless to say as starved as I was, I couldn't even finish the whole meal. Our server was Scott and he was pretty amazing and he was training a new hire and I'm sorry but I can't remember her name but she was equally great and explained the menu really well. It's really a bonus that they stay open till 11 PM Thursday through Saturday. So anything you get that is from the BBQ...they bring out this 4 pack of house sauce. I tried each of them and all were great and had their own unique taste. Chipotle White, PD BBQ, Korean BBQ, Carolina BBQ. The Korean BBQ was definitely my favorite. The chipotle white is kind of almost like a mayonnaise in my opinion. The inside while definitely fresh and clean looking...it does have a sort of rustic, actual prohibition older type feel. Would absolutely come back when in town again. Great overall experience here

They do have a cute bar inside if you choose to stop for a drink. The ribs were the worst I have had in my entire life. In fact, before Prohibition, I didn't know ribs could be bad. It's either little meat or juice fall off the bone. The ribs at prohibition have NO meat and what meat exists is SO dried out that you can't get it off in order to eat it. They were completely inedible. The flavor is peppery but no meat comes off the bone. It's like a chew toy for a dog. The rosemary fries are ok. The chicken sandwich is dry and flavorless and the risotto shouldn't be called risotto. Gordon would have a lot to say about that risotto. But those ribs went straight into the garbage. What a huge waste of money. If I wasn't with a group of strangers I would have said something. So much effort was spent on the outside of the building and none on hiring people who can actually cook. I walked out with a $50 tab and still hungry. Major disappointment. I cannot recommend Prohibition Dunedin unless it's only for a drink.

It's not exactly around the corner for me so it took a while to get there, but I would say it was worth the drive. My dining buddy and I started with two cheesesteaks. One with whiz and the other with Cooper Sharp. Both of them were terrific and made exactly to order. We also ordered a medium french fry and onion rings. The onion rings were good, but came out a little more well done that I am used to. The fries were fantastic --- extremely good and very fresh. They actually tasted like potato, which is not a given with french fries from most places today. We also had two fountain drinks, and that was fine. Service is good, food came out fast. This place is not cheap, but the quality is definitely there. As for a realistic cheesesteak compared to a Philly cheesesteak, I'd say it's close but not precise, the roll was fresh but not today fresh and the seasoning was good but not Philly good. Definitely hits the spot! So far, these are the best cheesesteaks. I've had in the Tampa Bay area since moving here years ago, and I expect Delco's will be hard to beat down here. Highly recommended
