TWO. DOLLARS. I honestly wouldn't mind it so much if I could at least get two meals out of it. I frequent Olivia (downtown) every 1-2 weeks, and am able to get two full meals out of an order of pasta and garlic bread. And that's a fancy restaurant. While this place is cute and has good service, it's essentially fast-food pasta. Having said that.... The restaurant itself is very clean and bright. You order at the front, are given a buzzer, and go find a table. They have both indoor and outdoor seating options. Indoor is fairly small, but they make it work! It's not meant to sit and talk for hours. Once your food is ready they deliver it to your table, along with a glass bottle of tap water for the table. It can get kind of noisy depending on business. I've always had great service - they're always on top of things and walking around in case you need something. Since I was dining alone tonight I opted to sit at the counter, which I love the concept of!! The food itself is delicious. The vodka pasta is really good (spicy)! Their daily bread is fabulous, nice and thick and soft - perfectly dippable, which is great since it comes with EVOO with herbs. A couple times when ordering carryout the pasta seemed a bit dry, so I made sure to ask for extra sauce. It was perfect that way! The pasta itself you can tell is fresh; perfect amount of chewiness and texture. Next time I'll probably try the vodka pasta with the breaded chicken - watching them cook, it looks delicious!! I was told it's probably the most frequently ordered item on the menu. All in all, I highly recommend giving them a try. Just be prepared to pay a high price. I'm going with an overall 3-stars based on price for the portion size. If that changes in the future I'll happily edit my review. One final note: parking can be a bitch here, and at least one of the neighboring lots has tow-warnings so heads up!

The total was $30.30, My daughter watched the waitress tap the 20% gratuity before flipping the screen and then having her sign. As someone in the service industry this type of business practice is deceiving and unethical. I have been in the service industry for decades and my children have been taught to tip services accordingly. But to take it upon yourself to tack on 20% on a pick up order because you handed over the counter is absurd. We could have gone there, sat down and dined in with 20% gratuity for services provided. And to be honest the service isn't worth 20% . I've personally watched the same old servers give mediocre service for years. The best thing about Plump Tomato was my delivery guy Bruce. Fresh ingredients, the right amount of dressing - easily the best Greek salad I've had in a long time. My husband got a classic gyro and he says it was really good. The meat was super tender, pita was soft / you can tell it's made fresh and the tzatziki topped it off perfectly! Our service was fast, friendly, and efficient and the whole vibe of the restaurant is just a good time. They were busy (obviously it was lunch on a Saturday!) but we didn't feel rushed and didn't even have to wait the full time we were quoted for a party of 6.
