The indoor/outdoor bar

Loved the vibe of this restaurant. It has an indoor/outdoor bar. The laid back Jimmy Buffet like island decor transports you to another place. Doesn't feel like a strip mall on main street. The service was friendly and fast. Let's talk about the food ... the fish and chips was fabulous. We got 3 pieces beer battered and fried, hush puppies, pineapple cole slaw and crinkle fries for $16 and change. A steal! Had to bring some of it home. And it was happy hour my draft was $1 off! Definitely will be back to try some of their other culinary delights!

Overall, this place is pretty nice. The prices are reasonable, and the choices are plenty. The staff is were really nice and the places is nice and clean. I ordered an appetizer of crabcakes and my husband ordered an entrée of the fried ribs and also the pineapple grilled teriyaki in the sauce. I actually found this place on Google map. was looking at my husband's bowling tournament and was finding what was near the area in this place had come up. . They have a great website and that is that was the deciding factor of checking out this place versus another a restaurant..

I have been craving fish and chips and PJ did not disappoint. Perfectly batter fried, tasty twist on slaw and really nice crinkle cuts. Surprise hush puppies were delicious. Service was great even with a full dining room I had attentive service for a to-go order.

Holy Moly, Pineapple Jack's in Dunedin! Who knew this sleepy strip-mall ,would be such a cute little tiki-themed / pineapple-themed restaurant and bar. You walk in and it feels like you think it's going to with pineapples everywhere. The drinks are excellent. The happy hour could not be better with two for one call-drinks, or as I like to call them, well-drinks. I had a ginger ale and Captain Morgan double tall and it was $6.50. Excellent strong delicious drinks, period. Then on the appetizer menu we saw coconut chicken tenders with pina colada dipping sauce . 'If you don't know now you know' ... The pina colada dip is a take it or leave it type of situation but for the most part those Coconut crusted chicken tenders were a reason to return to this restaurant/bar. Soft and juicy on the inside, total raw coconut on the exterior. I don't know what to tell you I've never had anything like it. As far as service is concerned, it was just a little sleepy. The sleepy conversation from the bartender, except for answering questions, that we engaged. It was a meh on the entertainment scale. The food was excellent. The drink was excellent. We just prefer talkative bartenders then you would have a gem on your hands. Thank you. Pineapple Jack's, will be back for happy hour. See you then.

Pineapple Jacks is quickly becoming a favorite local staple for myself and family. They have an excellent happy hour, better than anywhere else I've seen in Dunedin. Far from the tourist traps of downtown, PJ'S is well priced, and delivers on solid food options and ambiance. I like the split inside/outside bar, which allows for fresh air but not too much sun. I almost didn't want to review so I could keep the secret to myself, but they deserve to succeed!

Grabbed dinner on a quiet Sunday night. Our fabulous server, Lauren, came right over to get our drink orders. We decided on the Pineapple Margaritas (sans the rim). It was a tasty punch of pineapple (something to get used to if you come here!) and was in a tall glass-very tasty. For dinner I got PJ's Burger. It was a sloppy mess of deliciousness. It's a juicy burger with pineapple, zingy sauce, lettuce, and tomato. I subbed out the kettle chips for a huge bowl of black beans and rice for $2, that had chunks of red onion. It would have been a tasty meal by itself! My wife got the grilled salmon. Nice piece of fish, and well cooked, but a pretty basic salmon; fresh broccoli and a mound of rice. Superb service, very reasonable prices, and very good food (pineapple in *almost* everything ;-)) Inside has bar seating, high tops, tables, and booths. We didn't check out the patio, but there is one.

Id like to come back at night. We all ordered different drinks and everything was great. The menu lays it out clearly if the drink is spirit forward or lighter. We also tried the ahi poke, empanadas, and fries and everything was delicious. Our server was Andrew and he was very attentive, friendly and really went above and beyond. I'll definitely be back!

The back area is 21+ only, and is set up like a giant tiki bar with lots of tables, and seating for large crowds. Has a corner stage, where they have life music on Fridays and Saturdays. Fun vibe and delicious drinks. The outside front of the house is geared towards family, more tables and a kid friendly area. Now, when you go into the inside area, is like walking into a 60's Hawaiian move set. Great music, awesome decore, and fun mural. The food was delicious, ordered the Mixed Plate which was really good. Huli Huli chicken, Kalua pork, sushi rice, and an amazing potato-mac salad. You need to get a side of Pele's spicy sauce to dunk your pork in. If you love spicy sauces, this one won't disappoint. Ordered the Humuhumunukunukuapua' a... have fun saying that to the server hahaha. Pan-seared Hawaiian fish, topped with grilled pineapple, over black rice, served with a side salad. The fish was red snapper, cooked to perfection. Also got an order of the coleslaw, which is sweet and had pineapple, very good. Drink menu is plentiful, including a large selection of Rums. The mixed drinks are rated by turtles, the more turtles the stronger the drink. The Zombie was strong and delicious. Definitely a must. If you're looking for a fun time, with a great staff, delicious food, and cool ambiance, then you need to stop in!

The bar is located on the third floor and we took the elevator to get up there. The atmosphere is an open outdoor bar with tiki themed decor and a DJ. The music was super loud which was not appealing to us but we found a secluded table that was away from the noise. The views from the rooftop are spectacular even if it was way too loud. We ordered one round of drinks and all of them were delicious! I ordered the buttery chi chi which was not super strong which was perfect for me. My partners ordered stronger drinks and both were delicious. The ratings on their menu are definitely accurate for what you can expect from a liquor forward perspective. The bar was slammed so it took a little bit to get our drinks but everyone was very nice. We didn't order any food but would probably return for drinks!

A man who did not identify himself told us we could not have a dog. I calmly explained that he is a trained service dog. I was repeatedly told that he was "not a service dog," accused of lying, and asked multiple times what task he is trained to perform. Each time, I answered that he is an allergy detection service dog. The interaction quickly escalated. The individual raised his voice, used profanity, moved aggressively toward me, and adopted a confrontational posture. His behavior was intimidating and made me feel unsafe, as though he was attempting to physically intimidate me into leaving rather than resolve the situation professionally. At one point, another staff member approached and physically crowded my wife, further escalating an already tense situation. We remained calm and non-confrontational and contacted the police to de-escalate. The responding officers were professional and respectful. A trespass notice was issued, which we complied with. The officers also explained that a trespass notice does not determine whether ADA obligations were met. Our service dog was never disruptive, and we did nothing to provoke this response. I am sharing this experience so ownership is aware and can ensure staff receive proper ADA service-animal training and de-escalation training. No customer should feel intimidated or unsafe when simply trying to enjoy a meal

We just made a quick stop to grab some adult beverages and a small bite to eat for our trek. We also had a Beachside Bellini that comes with Champaign, coconut rum, pineapple juice, which was also good and had nice kick to it. This spot has a nice low-key vibe to it Tiki style. There's a lot of seating and there seating outside the hut, that sits in sand, which is nice. No matter where you sit in the place you're on the causeway so you have a gorgeous view of the Gulf no matter where you look. I wasn't really there to indulge in food. I just wanted a snack so I got a hotdog and chips and my wife got a Chicago style hotdog, nothing to rave about just a great energy booster. All-in-all, I will come back! This is a perfect place for us to make future pit stops, it's VERY convenient and well priced ESPECIALLY for the location that it rests in! Ps. You might catch our local celebrity, Zeke!!!!
