Love the location (off the Pinellas Trail), the setup and feel of this brewery. In a town filled with tourists, it felt more like a locals brewery, which I appreciated. They seem to be very involved with the community, offering yoga, book clubs, etc. (and they allow dogs in the tap room!) I tried a flight of the helles, the pickle gose, the saison, MoCitra west coast IPA, and the Belgian tripel, followed by a glass of the red Vienna lager. Of these, the saison was my favorite followed by the Vienna lager. Both of those were spot on for the style. The pickle gose wasn't my thing, but my wife really liked it. The others were average to me. They have a great variety of beer, so I would come back to keep trying their beer. read more

Cueni...I asked and it's pronounced "CUE - KNEE" is a neat little place right on the Pinellas Bike Trail. Nowhere near as big as HOB just down from them but still has a nice vibe if you are able to sit outside. (inside can be a bit noisy) The beer selection is not too bad. I prefer darks...browns, stouts and porters and when I was visited, there was only one. BUT, it was very good. My wife LOVED their IPA. Service was very good and helpful in trying the beers. Decided to pop in on a whim. Place seemed pretty chill, with a couple of dogs hanging out on the patio and a couple hanging out inside. I already had a good feeling! This spot is perfect for relaxing with friends and just passing the time living. Beer isn't really my thing, but I do enjoy a great tasting beer every now and then. I had the Pickle Gose, and I LOVED IT! I don't think it is for everyone for sure, but if you really like pickles and pickle juice, I think you will like it. I've been following Cueni Brewing on Instagram for a while now and am glad we finally got to try it. Service: - The service was excellent. We had an older woman who tended to us and our experience was very pleasant. She had some jokes and was able to give us a rundown of the beers (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic). We were bit slow in deciding and she was patient as we looked over the choices. Atmosphere: - We found the brewery to be clean and open with lots of indoor seating. The place a new vibe feel to it which was great. - Outdoors was also nice and situated along the Pinella's trail; great for people watching. Beer: - Cueni had a nice selection of beers for what appeared to be a smaller brewery. Lots of IPAs which I personally enjoy, but I would say there's something for everyone. - The N/A options were one, if not the best we've ever seen. They carried local, not big brand options including in N/A chocolate stout. - I ordered a flight and was pleased with everything I tried. Overall a nice spot. The beer seemed to be warm and flat, not great. They had a great variety of beers from tripels to hazy IPAs. The beers that are normally served at warmer temps were all very good, but the others seemed to have suffered from inadequate storage/prep. I'm thinking they may have their kegs cooled and maybe the beer sitting in the coils have too much time to warm up. Room temp in Florida can be 80 degrees or more, so that could be a culprit. The service was excellent, and they have a nice little novelty in the super-flight (13 beers) - see the pics. Fun! The place is a standard working brewery, with a bar, which is where we sat. There is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. And it's got a super cool vibe going on. They also had a novel pickle beer that was very drinkable and fun as well. We've had pickle beers before that are almost impossible to drink because they are over the top sour. This one was just the right amount of sour and drinkability. If I could recommend anything I would push to make sure that temperature control was a priority. We'll be back to try again. read more

Second time here and still great. Friendly bartender, nice list of Craft beers, vats right in the tasting room. There is ample bar seating and lots of places outside to get comfortable. It was a hard decision among the Belgium Three Way, Double Trubbel, Drunken Monk'e and the InCOLDnito. The Dubbel Trubbel (Belgium Dubbel) 7.21 abv and InCOLDnito (Cold IPA made with 2021 pink boots hops) 6.1 abv won today. On-site parking and easy access to the Pinellas Trail. what a great brewery. alway come here when in Dunedin. Thanksgiving eve; service was great. There was a bit of a line for beers at one end, younger beer tender John or "burger" was at other end of the bar, saw us waiting and hand signaled us he was free. we got the awesome Cueni beer fast! buzzed blond is always a well balanced coffee blond sometime they'll have two with different coffee beans and they tell you the type of coffee beans. little hoppier today, maybe civil society made it, JK. also had a very good cranberry Belgian. if you get a chance their tripel and quad are also fantastic. never had a dubbel yet. We loved our stop at Cueni Brewing! Very laid back vibe and super nice staff to help you pick out excellent beer! I opted with the essential IPA as I tend to gravitate towards those in unfamiliar waters and I would agree with the name, essential! This was really easy to drink and was super relaxing while we sat outside and enjoyed a not too hot summer night. My boyfriend had the milk stout and it was the perfect level of balance. We were in for a treat when we saw gizzys pizza truck pulled up to the brewery doors so we opted for the special that evening which was a white pie, bacon, tomatoes and garlic!!!! Man it did not disappoint. It's thin crispy crust and we ordered a large with no left overs between the two of us! Highly recommend. They have a great selection of beer to choose from. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating and they are socially distancing. Everyone wears a mask unless drinking and eating. No seating at the bar. I love the atmosphere here! It's super cute and everyone that works here is super friendly! The beers weren't bad but I'm not a beer drinker I just tried my roommates flight. She liked it but said it wasn't anything that really jumped out at her besides the Essential IPA, she doesn't usually like those and this ended up being her favorite! I had a glass of wine which always makes me excited at breweries because I don't have to break keto and can still enjoy a drink with my friends! We say outside on the patio and it was so pretty and I loved how well they social distanced everything! The food here also must be amazing because they ran out of pizza a few hours before closing! Not that I can eat pizza anyway but I'm definitely interested in trying it sometime now! I'm very happy I know this place is here now! read more

Great little brewery - make sure to stop in when you visit Dunedin. They have an excellent selection of different varieties of beer as well as wine, cider, mudslides, margaritas and even boozy slushees! Something for everyone. The prices are very reasonable and they offer smaller pours which I appreciate as I make my way through the breweries here. There is inside and outside seating available. One small thing that I thought was a nice touch was the availability of feminine products in the womens bathroom. I tried the aloha wit and their Pilsner. Cueni brewing gets all my stars today. Why? Because they are awesome. Not only is their beer delicious, but they offer assortments for all taste pallets. My most recent visit I was able to have a Curious Gourd Pumpkin Ale and fell in love. I knew that I had loved Cueni before, but now it was set in stone. I also had brought my brew dog with me Sophie. She's an English bulldog and we were asked to leave another local brewery because they didn't allow dogs inside. Cueni has a gorgeous open Biergarten on the outside that faces the Pinellas trail. My Sophie was in heaven and loved watching everyone get their drink on. So, thank you Cueni for letting Sophie visit! We will be back for more soon. read more

I grabbed my Crowler (generous 32 oz. pour) & fanny pack last Sun. to prep for a Yelp event & it was such an easy process. I had to have their Sinister Imperial Stout - smooth & found out online via Untappd that they age it in Cotherman Distilling Co. rye whiskey barrels hence the 8.7% ABV! A shoutout to Cotherman Distilling in Dunedin because their Rum, Vodka & Gin is so delish; I got lit after doing a distillery tour where the owner kept giving us free samples in addition to the flight we ordered! The inside of Cueni is small with an outdoor patio as well as happy employees pouring you your next beer. The fact local businesses are supporting each other during these difficult times affirms my decisions to try and support as many mom & pop shops as possible and well, it makes me all warm and fuzzy! :-) Masks required to enter business. read more

In a world pre pandemic Cueni Brewing was my *fave* spot to meet up with our couple friends who live further north in Pinellas. There is absolutely nothing not to love about this family run business. They ooze friendliness and cool factor. Ohio should give them an award for representing so well! I love that they keep their beer list pretty tight while still having soooo sooo sooooo many innovative brews to choose from. I tend to prefer wheat beers, so it's surprising to me that a brewery with very few wheat beers continues to steal my heart, yet here we are! In addition to beer and some wine by the glass they have ciders! That's right multiple! My gal pal I mentioned earlier is solely a cider drinker-and she swears by theirs! I miss hanging out on the picnic tables out back and chatting with the staff. I'm glad I can still get my fix with growlers to go. Our second brewery stop in Dunedin (13th overall for the Tampa-St. Pete Labor Day Weekend tour) brought us to Cueni Brewing Company, which is nestled along the Pinellas Trail in the heart of Dunedin. A small, little establishment with green walls and paper and glass lanterns, Cueni has the local, community vibes going strong here, while producing solid beers. The brewery has a nice, little patio area, and an aforementioned small taproom. A real low key and down-to-earth, just like the people behind the bar serving the beer, and the locals drinking them. The term "clubhouse" definitely comes to mind when describing this place, which is a great thing. Cozy and warm, you get the sense that anyone is welcome as they walk through the door. I ordered a couple of small pours because hangover from the day before. The Orange Trail Cream Ale was quite refreshing and citrusy with a slight creaminess, while the Mango My Tango Witbier was seltzer-like with a hint of sweetness. Both were enjoyable. I just wish I could have tried more. Cueni is one of those spots where I could definitely see myself riding my bike there if I lived in the area to grab a pint. Just a fun, relaxing place to go with good beers. read more

I had my first visit to Cueni Brewing this past weekend and it was a nice experience! I did choose not to stay because of my concern over COVID. The folks behind the bar were all wearing mask as were patrons coming in and out but it was still too crowded indoors for me to feel comfortable spending more than a few minutes picking up a crowler. They did have hand sanitizer available and had a side door open with a small food truck pulled up into the door offering food to customers. Erin greeted us at the bar immediately after we walked in and was really nice and helpful. I normally only drink sours and ciders, neither was available here. This is my biggest criticism for my visit, I would love to see the addition of an available sour on the menu. Erin still was able to take that into consideration and advise us on the 2 selections she thought I would like best. We sampled them and selected Orange Trail Cream Ale. While it wouldn't be something I would pick if I had other options, it was definitely a good ale and didn't have the harsh finish which usually turns me off of beer. None of this was a problem for my boyfriend who loves many different brews and also liked this choice. He really enjoyed both of the samples. This is a nice place with a great atmosphere. Pre-Covid, I could certainly see myself hanging out for a bit here and enjoying a glass of wine, some smiles and laughter from my fellow humans. Until then, I wouldn't hesitate to support this local brewery by picking up a crowler to go but I'll also beg them to add some sours and ciders to the menu. My boyfriend and I really enjoyed this place! Very cute and good beer/cider. We both had ciders ($5 each). Bartenders are very nice and knowledgeable about the different beers. We honestly couldn't believe how cheap everything was there too. We didn't try the flights, but they do in fact have them. They're located right near the bike trail and not too far from Main Street. There's also parking out front and seating inside and outside. Would totally recommend if you're in the Dunedin area. One other thing to note is that they do not sell food. Therefore come with an appetite for beer not food. read more

Rare to find excellent music you've never heard before. On to the beer. Watermelon Seed Spitter - excellent balance between beer and watermelon Hazelnut - the Ferrero-Rocher loving wife loved it. A little sweet for me. Red Headed Stepchild - red IPA spot on hoppy without being too bitter Vienna - Austrian lager rich and full-bodied, I could imagine drinking this with Beethoven. This was my personal favorite. Acoustics excellent - a spray foam on the ceiling resolves the age old problem of reverberating crescendos. They brew into half barrels which means they won't run out of your beer from one day to the next. In my opinion, this is the best of the three breweries that are on the same block or two in Dunedin. read more
