This place is awesome, if I were a local then I would be a regular here. Scale: 1-5 Beer: 5 - I had a flight. 2 hazy IPA's 1 BA Stout and a Pistachio Sour. All were delicious but when I ordered the next beer it was the Pistachio Cream Puff Sour. It was so good with a nutty aftertaste. reminded me of Xul PBJ Mixtape. Atmosphere: 5 - lots of high to seating. Relaxed casual atmosphere. Music bingo was about to start when I left. Cool place. Service: 5 - Ordered at the bar. Made sure that my flight included a couple of their most popular beers. Food: Yes but I didn't even look at the menu. Had Brazilian steakhouse for lunch and got my money's worth so I'm drinking dinner. Cultural/Political Agenda (1-5): 5 -Everyone is welcome. No preachy nonsense or virtue signaling, just beer, as it should be.
AMAZING... if you like beer or sours you'll love this place... they have something for everyone. ONE THIN YOU SHOULD KNOW! there are ZERO TV's in this place but they do have board games and plenty of seating- so come bring a friend and your conversation. Let the BEER guide you... highly recommend! Simple vibes ,simple ambiance beer is the focus!
Service was pretty friendly, decent beer selection as well. Looks like they have won many awards for their beer but I think the atmosphere could be improved with some more music and comfortable seating.
Excellent beers. Great spot for sour selection. We love trying new breweries when we visit new towns. Earlier in the day we were at a Brewery in Downtown Dunedin. We have never been a fan of sours, Arkane had a sour on the guest tap where we were and we decided to give it a try. Not only were we surprised we liked a sour, but it was the favorite beer we tried that day. We wanted to buy some cans but since they were a guest there they didn't have any. We did some research and learned they were local so ventured here to come to the source and tried even more sours we liked! Standouts were the watermelon blow pop and the creamsicle, honorable mention the Watergate salad. Laid back place, friendly staff. For the most part with a few exceptions you can mix and match cans and they offer flights.
This is really a review for Suga' Shane's pop up restaurant. Arkane Aleworks hosts this business every Thursday. Shane also owns a barbecue popup. My meal tonight was: ribs, corn pudding, beans, & collards. Shane is from Memphis and likes it spicy. My faves were the beans and corn pudding but I have to say that the ribs just fell off the bone. Shane's cheesecakes were the icing on top of the cake. So many varieties to try: thin mint, lemon cello, strawberry shortcake, Dr. Pepper, Biscoff, Elvis and more! Arcane is a spacious pub with a huge variety of ales, sours, and more. Shane had plenty of space to assemble the cheesecakes and he set up a tent for the barbecue in the outside rear of the pub. Come check out his BBQ and cheesecakes every Thursday at Arcane Aleworks!
This is my go to local brewery!! My original review talked about how it's in a strip mall. It's still in a strip mall but the area has expanded from whiskey wings, to WaWas drive thru located near by. Anyways back to Arkane, this place is super relaxed and chill, even on weekend when. There is an event everyone is here to just wind down, enjoy a drink and relax. The bartenders are all so chill and alway have good conversations with them, I've been coming here so long that i have gotten to know them. I had another review and everything about it is still true, best micro brewery in Largo and probably the only micro brewery as well. Come here and enjoy yourself, you won't regret it. PS, they also have an awesome customer incentive, they give you a punch card and after several drinks you get freebies can't go wrong with that.
Great Beer and great staff. Get one of the dark side beers(Fantastic) or one of the sours! Great place to hang out in and a great atmosphere!
Arkane is located in a strip mall in Largo and although it doesn't look anything special from the outside, the beers they make are top notch. Here are my ratings based on different criteria: Quality of beer: Excellent. They mostly specialize in sour beers but they also carry a smaller selection of IPAs, porters, brown ales, and stouts. One of their flagship beers is called the Dessert Eagle which a sweet stout and is a must try if you're into stouts. They constantly introduce different variations of this beer like bourbon aged version topping in at 12% ABV! I also tried their Raw Toast just because the description said "The Champagne of Largo" and boy...it tasted just like Stellas which I happen to also like. Décor: Artsy. The walls are adorned with art work from local artists. All the art is eclectic and up for sale. The outside area leaves a bit to be desired of. There are wooden picnic benches and not much of a view other than a constant sighting of cars going by in a back alley. Cleanliness: No complaints. All the tables and floor were kept clean. Service: Friendly. They were happy to let you sample as many beers as you wanted. Price: more than typical. I typically expect breweries to charge $6 for a pint of a regular IPA. Arkane, however, charges $7 for most beers and even higher for others. If you want some great beers and don't care much about sitting outside then Arkane is a solid choice.
Cool atmosphere, hilarious artwork to look at and many games to play. They have daily food trucks outside. The beer is good but they have a very limited selection of IPAs, great selection of sours though.
I was always the girl that said that she does not like beer at all, however Arkane Aleworks has totally changed that for me. I am in love with there Sours! Arkane Aleworks is a hidden gem inside of a Largo strip mall. It has a very cozy and friendly vibe. Local artists display their art on the walls for purchase, which is so fun. There is a cool outdoor area in the back too. It's fun to get a beer flight and play one of the board games there with your friends. At certain times there is a revolving food truck serving yummy food. One thing I absolutely love is that I can bring my dog with me, and she can even sit with me inside or out in the back!!! I am always telling everybody I know that they have the most awesome sour beers. Every time I visit there are different sours to try. I can't believe how they can make all those interesting flavors. At Halloween they had so many candy flavored ones, like Skittles. Sometimes they have a smoothie style sour which is amazing. I also love Gimmie Swelter, which is a Mango Habanero flavor, and the Dole whip one. They always have fun names for their beers. I love going to the different events they have, like the improv Comedy show and their big Sour events. One day I want to go for Bingo. It's also so cool to watch them can a beer from the tap if you want to take one to go. Nobody does Sours like Arkane Aleworks!!! I highly recommend getting a flight of beer! They also offer half pours as another option.
Yes they have great sours, but don't sleep on their Dessert Eagle imperial sweet stout series and their fat clouds citra DIPA is fantastic.
Ben and I had been coming to this brewery for a few years as they are one of our favorites with their amazing sours they always have on the line up. During the height of Covid, Ben would go and pick up to-go crowlers since everything was closed for enjoying beers at the brewery. From how quickly things were sold out online, I was happy to know they were doing alright even with all the new processes but then it also was frustrating when you really wanted something and it sold out in less than a few hours. But from what I have seen from this brewery, they do bring stuff back so just be patient. I love that they always have something new here. To me, that is one of the major points of a brewery and having a tap room. Service has always been friendly here but I do have to say I don't really care of their loyalty card program. Online it states flights are included in the punch system but when you're there, they will tell you no that it is a punch per pint. Doesn't make sense when a flight costs more than the $6 or $7 you spend for 1 pint but that won't keep us from coming back. Still don't agree with it, especially since it is stated online so I do hope they at least change the wording to go along with the actual policy or to include a flight for a punch since you spend about double to begin with. If you like sours, this is the place for you. Try them out and if not, that is cool too. More for us. :)

Their beer list is amazing, creative and well really well put together. I got to come last Saturday for the first time and absolutely fell in love with their choices and their place. I love sours and got to try 2 different ones the grape sour was delicious and then the Taste the Rainbow (which I had already heavily drank before the photo was exactly like sour skittles). The smoothie sour that is also pictured was delicious and dessert like. Great atmosphere and they have lots of great food trucks each week and great events like Trivia on Thursday. Definitely come in and give this place a try you will not regret it. read more
We heard about the extensive cool beer list at Arkane Aleworks, and they weren't kidding. There are boards across the walls behind the bar listing what they have. There are about a dozen bar-seats that have backs, which is more relaxing to me. The rest of the room has table seating for around 30. There's two or three 2-seat high-top tables out front. And there's even some outdoor seating for around 20 in a little triangular patio on the side. The decor is casual, with racks of oak barrels in the front, and lots of cool artwork on the walls. There's brewing equipment in the back, and some of the seating is right next to it. And they had an apparently unscheduled improv comedian out on the patio on a friday night (Jan 2026). They were great! And the audience was a good group, too :-) Beverage-wise, and the selection of beers change constantly, so look on the board for the new ones and the ones that are almost gone. We had to get a fun Fra-gee-lay golden lager from the Almost-Gone list. It's a luscious medium-light-flavor beer named for the Major Award in Jean Shepherd's Christmas Story film. We chose a sour, Astral Reign, blueberry with blood orange and some flavor or marshmallow. It was a great taste, plenty of sour balanced with grain, and sweetness smoothed out by light marshmallow. We loved that, so we also got an enormous can of that sour! And someone in our group got a decent red cabernet ... in a brewpub ... sheesh. Well, it tasted better than the house cab at many places! It was busy this Friday evening, with enough seating that we walked right in. This place is easy to get to, in the northeast corner of a strip mall on E. Bay at Starkey, and there's plenty of parking. There's a fridge next to the bar with beers to go. We love these beers! We love this brewpup-alehouse! read more
We were in town for work, and one of my friends wanted to try this brewery out! So glad we did! It was a fun experience with all the different beers that they make here. We even bought some to go too! The place is a casual place, they don't offer food however there is a pizza food truck in the back called "Rocky's". I had their margarita pizza and it was one of the best! There's a bar that you can sit at, high tops, or low tables. The team members gave us a taste of the beers so we could decide. The watermelon beer was really tasty. I think trying it as a flight is good since it's so sweet. The Nuclear beer with blackberry I think it was, is delicious! We also tried a habanero beer that had a nice after spice to it. I took home a carrot cake beer, watermelon beer, almond cookie beer, a green slushie beer that I will be trying soon and can't wait! We all most definitely said we will be back when in town again! If you haven't tried the place, why don't you give it a taste! Cheers! read more

My husband and I have been coming to this brewery for years, so I can't believe I haven't written a review yet! It is situated in a plaza in Largo. Up until this month, we hadn't been back to this brewery in well over a year due to COVID shutdowns. Arkane is one of those breweries where you are going to find top notch beers, no matter what time of the year you come in or what style of beer you drink. They are well known for producing unique beers of the sour variety. However, their other beers, e.g., IPAs, ales, stouts/darker beers, etc. are always very good. Before Easter, we enjoyed a flight of their Peeps themed sour beers along with a NEIPA. All of the beers were delcious! The tap room has both indoor and outdoor seating in the beer garden for social distancing. They typically have some type of food vendor on the weekends. Also, they offer crowlers and other cans of beer to go. It's an all around great brewery to visit in Pinellas County. read more

Stopped in on peep sours day and had a wonderful time. The bartenders are friendly, knowledgeable and welcome you as you step in the door. There is pub-style table seating both inside and outside. Beside the sours our friends ordered, my guy and I shared a flight of IPAs. My favorite was the Goliath - a double IPA with Citra, Galaxy & Nelson hops. Collab with magnanimous brewing. 8% ABV His fav was the RAWberry Strawberry Milkshake IPA. 6% ABV. We belong to the Arkane Aleworks Reward Club. Check out their website for the rewards! Located in a strip mall, there is free offstreet parking. The establishment is very clean and there are great things to buy too to show your support. read more
I have to say this is my favorite place now that they have such AN AMAZING SELECTION OF SOURS! This place was recommended to my friends and I while we were in the river mini golf place near by. I don't like beer much but I have gotten into the sours lately and they taste great! I have tried multiple breweries but this one has a lot of good ones. The one I tried was the mango keylime and omg it was wayyyyy too good! My friends really enjoyed their drinks as well. They have plenty of board games which we took advantage of and played. I think it's a really cute place with indoor and outdoor seating. Plenty of parking and variety of beer selection. Can't wait to return read more

Arkane is a sour brewery with a cult following. I live ten minutes away from The Veil Brewing in Virginia, for reference, so I understand the hype. In both cases, it's for good reason. They're putting out super cool sours. In most instances, the funky ingredients seem to work. There were a couple I tried that I thought were pretty average (ecto-cooler, which is green, comes to mind first), but most were creative and fun. What the Fluff was my favorite of the day, and Out of Season, a black currant with marshmallows, was a stunner. I really didn't think I'd enjoy it since usually I can't stand the smell of black currants. But I guess I just like marshmallow beers..? My first taste of the brewery was just about a year ago, when my friend brought her Unicorn Blood bottle to share with me in Richmond. That one is delicious! It only comes out one day per year and it's definitely worth hopping in line to snag a bottle if you can. I was in Tampa earlier this month for beer week and visited Arkane the day they released the Yoda Pants. I tried it on tap and thought it was okay, pretty good, but I wasn't willing to wait in the long line wrapping around the strip mall for it. I did grab a bottle of the Grandma Fingers pineapple upside down cake. Looking forward to it! The brewery itself is no frills, small, rustic, with wood finishes. The draft ordering line could've been a bit more structured (*points to Veil as my prime example again*) but otherwise it was a positive experience. I appreciated the benches outside. Arkane's reach was witnessed again on Huna Day later in the week. They had some of the longest lines at the festival. I'm sure if I visit Tampa again, Arkane will be on the rotation. read more
First time visiting - Arkane is located in a strip mall next to a gym and a Winn Dixie. Bartender was great in serving us the flights and pour of the BA stout; was able to snag a few 4packs too. Overall good experience and I would go back due to the amount of beer options they have, including; IPAs, Stouts, and Sours. I really liked the Carrot Cake Sour and the Watermelon Pop - literally jolly rancher. I'm not the biggest IPA drinker, but their IPA options were pretty good from West Coast to East Coast (NEIPA) options. I can definitely drink a few hazy/juicy ipas but that's it. West Coast is too piney for me. No food options. Wish they had something small to munch on, even if just popcorn or chips - unless I completely overlooked that when I was staring down the beer wall. If you are in the area, go check them out. Great options and plenty of room to sit and chat. read more

I'm not sure how I haven't reviewed Arkane yet. It's one of my top, if not my favorite breweries in Florida. I live in Orlando and anytime I'm in the vicinity I make sure to work a stop at Arkane into my plans. They always have a huge tap list with great variety for all types of beer lovers. I love their sours but I also love their IPAs and dark beers! I had a beer there two years ago and I still think about it! It was called Pucker Up Buttercup and it was a peanut butter dark sour. I believe my Untappd check in for this beer said "I want to bathe in this beer". The brewery is in an unassuming plaza with Winn Dixie on the opposite end, it's closer to the sports bar that used to be named Mugs n' Jugs which I'm not gonna lie, I'm a little sad they changed the name because it's hilarious but I digress. Back to the beer! There is something for everyone there, they have a series called Grandmas Fingers which is all beers with a cake/pastry/dessert theme. I just picked up the Carrot Cake one for a bottle share and in the past some of my favorite have been the coconut cream pie and brazo gitano. They do some really fun beers for halloween and they do Peeps beers too! I'm so happy that they are distributing now so I can at least get some stuff from them in Orlando. If you are a beer lover you MUST do yourself a favor and check out Arkane. You'll be mad at yourself for not going sooner once you finally visit! read more
This is a wonderful brewery! They have many of their own beer on tap, 16 to 20 ranging from any style you could think of. They do specialize in Sours but their ipas and dark beers are also fantastic. They have a large tasting room with a large L shaped bar that fills the space. They have tables and an outdoor patio area. You can see their beer being fermented as well and they have a large projection TV for special events or sports. You can order a pint or get a flight of 4 to try. The bartender was great about letting me try anything also. I had the flight of Tricerahops, Hopsterical, (ipas) Java the Whutt? and Irate recliner. Arkane had no beers that I didn't like! They were all wonderful and true to the style. Friendly and knowledgeable beertenders. Great place for a flight or a pint. They also have food trucks in the evenings. Tried so many sours as well as their darks. Nothing disappointed. Ambrosia was amazing. "How many sips?" was so surprising in flavors. Atmosphere inside was lovely and friendly. I've been to a lot of breweries across the country and you should just go here. Totally worth trying. read more
