I have to update my review to leave a few notes about some substandard items I crossed off my list from this place. I've had their Rueben, their Philly (of which I wrote previously), as well as their slaw. We (Queen Bee mainly) also crossed, much to my own chagrin, their Rueben rolls off our collective list. Fried pickles: same. Philly, as I stated elsewhere, was an abomination. Roll was awful, flavor was a bit bland and the whole thing just didn't come together. A Philly should be overflowing with chopped, well mixed ribeye, cheese and grilled veggies. I don't like peppers on my Philly, I tolerate shrooms and love grilled onions. This thing missed the mark on all categories. I sent it back. Rueben: small mountain of corned beef was way too salty and took away from the overall flavor and quality of the sandwich. Swiss of mediocre quality too. Like the Philly: sent it back. Blech! Rueben Rolls: sane as the Rueben itself: just wrapped in an egg roll wrapper and fried to death. This interpretation is a lil more flavorful as the ratio of ingredients is better balanced. Again: salty corned beef took away from what otherwise wouldn't be a bad app. Fried pickles: also way too salty. A pickle slice in and of itself is briny enough so added sodium is hardly needed or necessary. Someone back there seems kinda heavy handed with the salt shaker. That's why when I ask for fries there I tell 'em no salt. They use Cajun seasoning on their fries, I was told. Thanks by no thanks. Slaw, meanwhile: too dry. Cabbage and carrot seemed fresh enough, but the amount of dressing in it was minimal. As a result, it can be a lil hard to swallow. Add more dressing and they can solve it easily. I added a lil of the Queen Bee's ranch to it and that helped some. While I won't totally go for broke and bash this lil place, I have come to the conclusion that I won't waste my time trying any more of their sandwiches, which makes up for a large part of their menu. Each of 'em thus far has been underwhelming, so why should I try another? When I go out I wanna be overwhelmed in a positive way: both food as well as experience. We still go because we like the barkeeps and I like the cold beer, happy hour prices and the zillion TV's. We've always been treated very nicely there (we always sit at the bar: either indoor or outdoor depending on the day). All I'd say to keep it totally fair: I would limit myself to simple burgers and only a few of their apps. Why? I'm afraid to say I think they emphasize quantity over quality with much of their menu. We've been there enough times to know what we like and call it a day. If I could offer any positive thoughts to readers here, it would be to explore what intrigues you and go from there. One's own subjectivity often differs from that of the next fella. read more

We've been to Eddie's a few times and each time we've had a great experience. The bartenders are friendly & attentive & the food has been spot on. So far we have had the fried shrimp, fish & chips, shrimp po boy - both as a sandwich and a wrap, burger & boneless wings. All have been really good - my favorite was the po boy as a wrap as the sandwich just had too much bread & was difficult to eat. Their fries are good as well. This local neighborhood bar and grill is great fun! We went for Wednesday night trivia and had a really good time. You have to try the mushrooms! They are amazing and the horseradish dipping sauce was so good that I had to get more! I saw a plate of onion rings go by that I totally need to order on my next visit!! We had such a great time at Eddies. We came with our 7 month old. The service 10/10 with great recommendations. I wish I knew the waitress name because she was amazing. The ambiance is great for kids they can play in the arcade and lots of TVs great for sports games. For food we tried the fried mushrooms, the freshly battered boneless wings with Thai chili & lemon pepper and the tater tots it was all so good. I would def recommend and come back. read more

Hidden gem at the far end of a strip of stores in Largo... It's not often you find a sports bar with A+ quality food. My sister-in-law took my nephew and me out for lunch here soon after our arrival, and it was a definite homerun!! Lots of tempting "bar food" choices, but definitely a step (or three!) above average. My nephew's burger of the day choice was truly monumental (literally a TOWER of burger!!) while my SIL's Philly cheesesteak was stacked high enough for two or three meals. My apple walnut salad with add-on, perfectly cooked and seasoned grouper was GREAT, and also provided great leftovers. Quick, friendly mid-day service, reasonable prices (check out their Happy Hour deals) and something for just about everyone. I loved going to the Dunedin location whenever I was in the area, & I'm happy that they opened up this location right around the corner from my house. Came in after a grueling day at work for a couple drinks. The servers are friendly & personable, & they have the same laid back vibe that I love from the other locations. My favorite food items have always been the grouper sandwich, the grouper bites, the fried mushrooms, & of course the wings. I didn't get a chance to try anything on my first visit, but I am definitely coming back to see how the food compares. read more

This may have been the cleanest and brightest bar I have ever been in. And the food was even better. Be prepared to share or carry, the portions are large and fresh. We had two burgers, both delicious and you would do right with any of them and boneless chicken wings with Peanut Thai sauce. The beer was reasonably priced, and the service was pleasant, attentive, and accurate. There is no hurry to get the food out, which in a sports bar is great. Fairly new restaurant to this particular area (Largo .. ( formerly FatCat) . This is my 2 nd time there and definitely not the last . 1st time I had the Eddie burger my tablemate had the hamburger with a fried egg, and bacon. It was awesome the"best " hamburger around the area. It was cooked just the way I like it ( rare) no question asked. Fresh tomatoes, lettuce, onions mayo. Came with FF or very good coleslaw. 2nd time Monday special boneless chicken with French fries. Not my usual menu item ( partial to bone in wings). Anyway they were great quantity aboveboard fresh and hot. Also had several craft beers on tap. Needless to say it was soo good. This establishment ( company ) has 2 more restaurants around the area. Can't vouch for the other 2 BUT this one is awesome. Price is spot on , very friendly staff . It's a very cool restaurant. We stumbled upon Eddie's while on our snowbird stay. Great location for us. Turned out to be a great find. The staff are so welcoming amd interested in making every visit a good time. Food has been tasty and plentiful on every visit. Very clean, great selection of seating to watch your sporting event. Don't see your sport on just ask and they will try to get you setup. We having been stopping in to watch baseball and enjoy friendly company with other patrons and with the amazing staff. Shout outs to Carissa, Danielle, Mark, Kyle. Great staff! Always a great time! We've been reading about this new spot and so we had to check it out. Taco Tuesday! My husband got the beef, I got chicken. The chicken tacos were super dry...they were just missing something. No tomatoes, just lettuce and cheese on the tacos. The beef were pretty good so we ordered extra salsa and some queso to jazz up the chicken tacos. Salsa and queso were good. Bartender was great. We sat at the outdoor bar which was really nice until a couple started smoking just outside of the dining area by their table. The ladies next to us agreed that the smoke was definitely annoying. Perhaps they should have a designated smoking area away from the open air dining room. read more

If you want to watch a game this is the place. There are tv's everywhere but it wasn't loud. There is also outdoor seating. We had a party of 12 and had great service. I had a fried grouper sandwich. The grouper was huge and delicious. I would order it again. read more

I was eagerly waiting for this place to open, and went in the second day, Tuesday. I used to hang out a lot at the old Fatcats, so wanted to check out the new place. I liked the outdoor bar area, but the inside had an awkward layout, a big game room which no one was in, a lot of wood and TV'S. Too bright and absolutely no ambiance at all. Had the taco's which were ok, could be better with a little extra effort. Bartenders were ok, but I prefer female. Not really trying to knock the place, everything was ok, but there are better places in the area, such as Finley's. In my opinion, they could have saved $100k, touched up Fatcats and had a better layout. I'll go back again later to see if things get better. read more

They did an awesome job revamping this old Fat Cat location. Its very cool inside, lots of large TV's , comfortable seating and a nice menu . The service is spot on from the time that you sit down, very friendly and efficent. We were checked on several times to see if we were enjoying our dinner and if we needed any drink refills.. The burger special on Wednesday is well worth trying. They are delicious with the burger being cooked perfectly Medium and the toppings were so very good. The bun was so nice and fresh... the potato tots delishous and covered half of the plate, We will return for sure! I highly reccomend this place. read more
