Friendly neighborhood bar with great eats! This bar is on the list of frequent hits by me and my friends. We love hitting this place for lunch or happy hour. Super reasonable prices and really good food! I always get the chicken bites. 100% breast meat bites freshly made with a super light breading. Always delicious. I also love their pretzel and Philly cheesesteak sandwich. Can't go wrong with the burgers either. They have music bingo on Tuesdays. The host makes it really fun! This is essentially a neighborhood bar. It seems that everybody knows everybody. We were definitely the odd man out. There are several TVs and a number of games were going on while we were in there which is great for the added sports person. There's also several pool tables And I believe dartboards as well. We had the fish and chips they were yummy. The service was average. I think if you go there regularly, you get a different feeling but for us the first time we felt a little left out. Came in on a Sunday during the championship playoff game between Kansas City Chiefs and Cincinnati Bengals.The place was pretty packed at Sunday around 6:30pm. It's a local sports bar with a local sports bar vibe. We ordered chicken bites and tater tots. The chicken was nice and tender. We mixed BBQ and Mild (closest thing to Dallas) the combo was delicious. There was hint of pickle juice on the wings added to the distinct Flavor almost like a chick Fil a chicken sandwich. Either way they were good. They had a sound system but for some reason the game was not played loud enough to hear the announcer and game. It could be heard, just couldn't make out what was being said. I like hearing the games especially playoff games but that just me. We sat at the bar and both servers were pleasant, attentive and fast. The place was pretty busy so they were rocking. We could also see how much and fast the food staff was pumping food out the kitchen. All of it looks delicious. We got there after the sun had gone down and the inside was pretty dark. It's football season! It seems that ever since the pandemic, fewer sports bars are showing all of the games. Look no further! Each tv is set up with mini helmets of the team that is playing. This is the perfect neighborhood bar! We are staying in the area and wanted to play some pool and enjoy an adult beverage. Yelp gives us Sharks as an option so off we go! It's very unassuming from the outside... just an average strip plaza. We entered and walked up to the bar. Henry greeted us and took our orders. We needed a light bite so Henry recommended the Philly steak eggrolls. Oh, I didn't need to know how freaking good they are!! The dipping sauce had a little horseradish too. Delicious!! There are several pool tables in good shape. The cues actually have good tips and the first one I grabbed was straight! The tables are not coin operated so another plus! There are also dart boards and other video games. Lots to do! Henry approached to check on us, making sure our drinks were full. We engaged in conversation and since we were visiting, he offered to recommend good restaurants in the area. He returned with a handwritten list! Dude, you rock! I did know one of the restaurants and he was spot on. Henry has good taste! We enjoyed our games, drinks and those mouthwatering eggrolls that I'll be dreaming about! First time there this week. Went with friends who like karaoke and said it was a good place. Easy to find, we had a group of 7. We sat toward the pool tables and looked over the bar. The bar is very big and busy . We hit Tuesday taco $1.99 night Our server "does it all Gretchen" was awesome. She tends bar, waits o tables, cleans them and really looks after the customers. She is like a bee flying around. Wife had side salad which was a real good portion and a chicken taco. I had th chicken fajita and a beef taco. Everything was very fresh, appealing and really tasted great. Nothing was over salted with lots of meat. Drinks were great also. Place is clean, well run and a fun crowd. The place is clean and large. Tons of televisions, pool tables and dart boards with tournaments for both. Poker nights as well. Menu is normal bar food and I do appreciate burgers are made in both quarter and half pound options. Comes with chips, fries are an upgrade. Note also that tater tots do not seem to be on the menu but they do have them. Only had a burger and the fish n chips so far. Really like that the fish is cod and not whitefish. 3 large pieces and fries were too much for me. Could only finish 2 pieces. Good local hangout. Older crowd. Short staffed during football playoffs, but so is every restaurant right now. They did quite good for the amount of customers per employee. Only small gripe is bathrooms are 1 person only so lines do develop during popular events. read more

I stopped in for a beer and and an appetizer. I'm from out of town and it was open until 2 am. Service outstanding and I ordered the Rueben egg rolls that came with Thousand Island dressing for dipping. Excellent concept and very tasty. Proves you should try something new you might like it. Love the food and the people here! The bar staff are helpful and friendly, especially Henry! The burgers are cooked to exactly the right doneness that you ask for, pulled pork is yummy, the taco salad is the best I have had in Clearwater area. We really enjoy this place! Friendly bartenders, decent prices, good drinks, and the fries are awesome! Always crispy and flavorful! We especially love the chicken planks/fingers. They are delicious and juicy and plump. They really make a nice drink here too. The soda is never flat or syrupy, and they pour a good shot. The drink is well balanced. I'm a former bartender and a stickler for great customer service and an enjoyable experience. Sharks hits tha mark! And best of all....there's NO SMOKING!!!! YAY! Thanks Yelper's for helping me find another great lunch spot. When you first walk up, it doesn't look like much..a few picnic tables outside with plastic chairs and some ashtrays. But then you walk in and BAM...this place is HUGE inside. All wood floors, gigantic bar, game room to your right, stage to the left...nice; I was impressed (see pictures!). Initial thoughts: "Shack" is definitely a misnomer here. Sat down at an all wooden booth (think mugs and jugs), menu is on the table (added some pics!) and the prices are instantly great looking. Unfortunately I mistook Thursday for Wednesday and ordered a dozen wings (they're 50 cents on Wednesday...oops..and pictured!) and a double-cheeseburger with grilled onions, bacon, and mushrooms (pictured!). The waitress (who was also the bartender during lunch) was very personable. The food finally came and everything was outstanding. The wings were crispy without being breaded and the fries were nice and thin and tasty (think El-Cap style fries). And then the star of the show...the double-cheeseburger. Delicious. The bacon was also cooked perfectly. The beef patties were both of generous proportions and even the bun was right on. I may have gone a little picture crazy but all I saw on here was a store-front and raving reviews and no idea what I was walking into. Another impressive piece is that for a seemingly-slow place, they seem to have a great POS system and are able to split checks and items on checks with no hassle at all. For instance, I got the price of my burger, half the wings, half the fries, and my drink on my bill. PERFECT. My ONLY gripe is that all of their burgers come medium-well (says so on the menu, so I didn't ask for it otherwise). My feeling is, when you're known for burgers, let me order it how I want it cooked. (One of the main reasons I don't go to Five Guys) I will definitely be back and be bringing more people. read more

Name change or not, this place is consistently good with great service and good drinks. ''Twas a long Monday at work, and all i wanted was to wine down from the day and have a few drinks. We stopped at Sharks about 615pm. Of course happy hour was over but they still had reasonable prices. $5 for rum and coke?.... I'll take it! What i didn't know was they had a 50 cent wing special going on. Oh yes. I will if i do say so myself. Service was good as well. Cheap delicious food plus trivia equals a good time. The food and drinks here are cheap. I feel like the fact that they have Natty Light on draft says it all. All toppings on the burger is an extra 25 cents. You get the idea now. That being said, the food is delicious. Get the cheese fries. The fries are smothered in cheese. Also the burger patties are delicious. All salads come in a fried taco bowl, which was a delightful surprise. The one miss was the fried mushrooms. I made the comment, how can something fried go wrong before we got them. I probably jinxed us. The breading wasn't very good and it was much too spicy. We ended up leaving most of it. They have trivia on Saturdays and Mondays and I feel like that is why most people come here. There are huge groups of people. Don't worry, winning isn't possible. We were in first place until the final question when we decided to go big or go home. We went home, but if we chose to bet no points we would have won, since no one else knew the answer. Ah well, we aren't in it for the money. The bar is definitely a dive bar. It is surprisingly large inside. I actually really liked it. Billy Jacks is a cool hole in the wall. They definitely have some CHEAP, but decent quality food. The double burger actually had a great taste to it, a little bland but good quality for the price. It was nicely wrapped, the way you find at a local dairy stand. The fries were so-so. The place is a local-yokel spot and they do alot of karaoke. Don't bring anyone you want to impress, but for a cheap night and some laughs this place isn't bad. For the price, I would come back here over five guys or one of the other burger chain trends out right now. Advice for Billy Jack's Use sea salt on the fries (sparingly), not cheap table salt, and also garnish fries with parsley flakes. read more

My wife and I stopped in on this place on a Thursday evening. We were down in Largo Florida visiting her grandma on. And we decided to get out for the night while Grandma watch the babies. We ended up stopping by a few different bars one of our locations we stopped Bob is this place called sharks. I really like sharks. It was a nice little biker bar. Lot of locals and it was definitely a biker bar. Everybody there had motorcycles they are all dressed in leather black shirts jeans all kinds of good stuff. I didn't really fit in with the rest of them. However really liked it. It is definitely for an older crowd I would say you know 50s 60s. Life an hour definitely youngest ones there. Now I'm not saying that is like that every night but it was that night at least. It did have a live band playing which was really cool it is a old school classic rock type band long hair kind of reminded me of a Lynyrd Skynyrd. We had some cheap draft beers set at the bar listen to the music we had a good time I will return next time we're down in Largo read more

I think the Tanika review on 3/7/20 has the wrong Sharks bar! They don't have mussels for $20 at this place and I don't know who the server is she mentioned. Anyway, I've been coming to happy hour here since it opened and even before the rename to Sharks. It's been almost 5 years now for me. Never had bad service and the drinks are cheap and good during happy hour. Friendly group of elders (including me!) around the bar from 3pm to 5pm when I usually go on Fridays. Never had a bad time there. Only thing I've ever eaten is the wings on special on Monday's. They are great. Recommended. read more

Great burgers and extremely affordable. I ordered a cheeseburger, tasty cajun fries, and a soda for under $7! Woot. It is rare to see perfect harmony of great cheeseburger and fries, but Billy Jack's has it perfectly down. The cheeseburgers taste home-cooked and they have a number of specials I want to try in the future. Billy Jack's could compete with the big burger giants in Tampa, such as Square 1, BGR, and Burger 21 - but is nestled away in Largo. If you're nearby give it a shot! The service was also excellent - the waitress was chatty and reminded me of that small-town diner. The good thing is the restaurant itself looks more like a sports bar and is big enough to handle a crowd. I came fairly early on a stormy Sunday for my meal so it wasn't packed, but I can imagine locals must love Billy Jack's. I will be back to Billy's next time I am hungry in Pinellas for a great burger. read more

Went here with a big group of friends for Karaoke one Friday night. We usually do Karaoke at Pete's place in Tampa but decided to try something new. Boy, I'm glad we did! I thought this place was great. It was big enough to hold a decent amount if people on a busy weekend night, but not too big that you 'd fear you'd never see your waitress again. Speaking of waitresses, they were absolutely wonderful! We had a large group ( 16-18 people ) and I was bracing for a hard time to place a food order or grab a drink. This was not the case as the waitresses were very friendly and were always there to refill your glass as needed . I really enjoyed the Karaoke set up. The hosts were very friendly and tried to include as many people as possible ( I was surprised how many of our non singer friends hot on stage to give it a try. Not me though. Not even auto tune could save me !). The food looked good as well and you can't beat the prices . Gotta love $2 domestic drafts ! I hope to go back here in the not so distant future . read more

Billy Jacks is a locals place ... just spend 5 minutes in there and you'll agree. But that's OK with me, I just want to eat a burger. They serve a serviceable bar burger here with lots of options. I had cheddar, raw onion, pickle and jalapeño (olé). The fries looked forgettable but they were actually really really good. They come in plain, garlic and something else. I'm old school - get the regular ... Why screw up a delicious fry? The beer is Bud et. all. Its still beer and you can drink it. They place doesn't look like much, but its clean and doesn't smell. I've been coming here for a few weeks with friends for their trivia night. They do trivia on Saturdays and Mondays. Since I started coming the location has had a change in management. The new management is definitely creating some great changes. They have a new table tops and a high-tech jukebox in the whole place seems a bit cleaner. They are taking down some old posters and it looks like they are preparing for a little bit of a remodel. So far, they haven't changed the menu. Speaking of menus, the restaurant only has a few so if you are there on a crowded night your table will need to share. The drinks are incredibly cheap. I paid four dollars for a vodka cranberry that came in a water glass. It was definitely strong. Beers are cheap but they don't seem to have drink deals or a drink menu anymore. The food is absolutely average to me. I have tried their salads which are all served in a taco shell bowl and I have had their burger and chicken sandwich. The only thing worth writing home about is there cheese fries. Everything else to me is what you would expect. They have games and pool in the back of the bar and plenty of seating at the bar, tables, and booths. We have never had to wait for a table and the service is quick and efficient. Honestly, I don't think I would come here for anything other than trivia night or maybe watching a game on one of their many large tvs but with a good group of friends this is a comfortable dive bar to hang out in. read more

We only recently started going to Billy Jack's because of Eric and his TriviAddiction trivia night. He has the best trivia show in the Bay area!! The questions are hard but not impossible to answer and he makes the show super fun. We have played many a trivia game with TriviAddiction at other locations and have never been disappointed. While we all love our electronic devices, this is sad to say but there should be a ban on all electronics if you are playing trivia. If you feel that you have to cheat to win a bar tab, then you have way bigger issues going on!!! Billy Jack's has the best wings and burgers! Their food prices are cheap and they have great drink specials. You'll get the best service anywhere and always with a smile! read more

Bar food is marginal. The trivia game is fun but unless your one of their regulars you don't stand a chance at winning. Everyone in there has cell phones. Great place to gather & chill. I haven't been to the new Largo location, but used to frequent the PH spot. BJs has an awesome atmosphere and $1 beer specials often (not to mention $1 taco tuesdays and other weekly specials). Its an outdoor hangout (PH) to enjoy the air (not so great in muggy evenings) pup friendly and trivial sundays! Awesome place to meet friends at after work or a ball game. Ive moved away from the area but do miss BJs friendly atmosphere. Def a place where the waiters remember your Name and Usual Order. lol read more
