Delicious food, beers, and wonderful service. This is a casual neighborhood spot with lots of tv's, great burgers and delicious fries. Most of the seating is at the bar where you can find a good assortment of wine and beer. They offer some decent entrees, salads and appetizers too. The burger menu offers about 20 options from mild to wild. Definitely a hidden gem in downtown St. Pete. Burgers were absolutely delicious! Lots of options for drinks - we loved everything we tried. Definitely recommend the tater tot appetizer!! Might be the best burger in St Pete. Overall, no complaints here!! Give it a try! Thanks

Stick to the burgers! I got the mushroom ravioli because all the burgers had some spicy element to them or weren't my style and I knew I was taking a risk. Good but not great, seemed like their take on pasta and the sauce was watered down or added to. The burger was great according to my partner but obviously very hard to eat based on the size. It's on a side ride off downtown so parking is first come first serve and it's beer and wine only. Limited seating as well but there is a board to add your name.

We stopped in on Halloween night after flying in as it was one of the few places still open. It's medium-sized space with mostly bar seating and some tables inside. It's got the typical bar/bar food vibe. Service was attentive and friendly throughout the meal. I got the Black Flag and it was really tasty! A bit heavy on the Frank's Hot Sauce but overall I really enjoyed it. The cook on the actual meat was perfectly medium rare! That was the main thing that stood which was great. Any burger can be made vegetarian and so my gf got the Demi-God with impossible meat. This too was exceptional and very flavorful. Admittedly I didn't expect much, but based on the burger cook alone, this place is worth stopping by. Plus they have so many options to choose from! A great place for burgers!

So good!! Fresh tasty burgers. A st Pete staple. Great and quick service. Good beer selection! I liked the table lamps for ambiance.

Came to this restaurant on a whim and I would honestly rate this restaurant a 10 out of 10. Bella was our server and she was absolutely amazing. She recommended a local Tampa Bay gourd beer that was stellar! Additionally, she told us that the demigod burger and the Sriracha crusted hot wings were the most popular items so we tried those and they did not disappoint. The wings were so flavorful and they were the perfect size. The burger was so good even with the impossible patty. I also ordered the sweet potato fries with the honey mustard and I could have this time and time again. The restaurant is quaint when you come inside, but it's definitely a vibe for the food that is on the menu. There is varsity in the front and it opens up to tables in the back.

While in Tampa I Yelped a burger joint and engine 9 came up so we gave it a try. The atmosphere is bar type and parking is a little tough as there's construction in the area. We sat at the bar ordered a draft beer. I can't recall the name but it was very good. Service was attentive. My burger was the The Black flag cooked medium just as ordered. The burger was delicious. They even have tater tots which are some of my favorites. Really enjoyed the restaurant.

I had the best burger in the Tampa Bay Area. Demi-God burger was delish. I got the onion rings I like to add a couple in my burger. They have natural rootbeer here... with cane sugar. The corn dog is not in-house hand breaded as it's the frozen ones so I didn't order that.

Tried four different burgers, and all were cooked perfectly to the right temperatures. Each had creative and flavorful toppings, which made for a fun tasting experience. We appreciated that the lettuce, tomato, pickles, and onions were served on the side. Both the curly fries and tater tots came out hot and crispy....definitely a highlight. Unfortunately, the service didn't quite match the food. We came in late, and our server seemed more focused on chatting at the bar than checking on our table. It felt like we were an afterthought. I imagine the service might be better during busier hours. Food: 4+ stars. Service: 2 stars

In town for business so I of course had to try a place on the Yelp Top 100 Burgers. Because of construction in the area, parking was a little bit of a challenge but I found a nearby spot on the street after circling the block. That was the last thing that didn't go perfect. I chose a seat at the bar and very quickly was able to order The Heart Attack Burger - Fried Egg, Three Slices of American Cheese, Four Slices of Bacon, With Plenty of Chipotle Mayo. With 21 different burgers as well as the option to substitute a beyond burger patty and a portebella option for vegetarians, plus a couple of pescatarian options there is something for everyone. The menu is not limited to burgers but that was what I was here for so I didn't even really look at anything else. My burger was cooked perfectly to the requested medium well and with the chipotle mayo on the side. I forgot to ask for my egg to be fried hard like I prefer but it wasn't extremely runny so I was still pleased. Bacon was not too crisp that it crumbled but not chewy either, again pointing too that the cook knows what they are doing. Tots were perfectly crispy outside while remaining soft inside. Absolutely no complaints about the food! I can see why they have earned a spot on the Yelp Top 100 Burgers as well as the Best in Tampa Bay Metro area. Service was excellent! They also have been recognized as Best Sports Bar in Florida. I don't think there is a table or spot that doesn't have a view of multiple TVs without having to turn in your seat. I highly recommend if you are in the area!

Really a 4.5 for their burgers, corndog and service. This past weekend, my husband and I visited a popular bar/restaurant in downtown St. Petersburg, renowned for its gourmet and creative burger menu. Despite the definite bar vibe, the atmosphere was welcoming, and the staff made us feel right at home. We were greeted immediately with waters and menus, and our server, Marina, was fantastic--friendly, attentive, and on top of everything, even as the place filled up quickly for lunch. The menu was a burger lover's dream, with so many unique options it was tough to choose. We started by splitting their famous corn dog as an appetizer, featuring an all-beef Vienna sausage encased in a perfectly crispy coating. It came with house-made sauerkraut, which was a standout--balanced, not too sour, and with just the right amount of texture. Easily some of the best I've had! For our mains, my husband went with the Black and Blue burger, and it was a hit. Loaded with bacon, blue cheese dressing, crumbles, and a kick of Frank's hot sauce, he called it phenomenal. His side of tater tots was crispy perfection, though fries and sweet potato fries were also tempting options. I opted for the Demigod--caramelized onions (done just right), sautéed mushrooms, three cheeses, and horseradish mayo. It was good, but after sneaking a bite of his, I'll admit he won! My burger came with a house-made cucumber and tomato salad, which was fresh and a nice nod to healthy eating. That said, it could've used a bit more dressing or some marination time to elevate the flavors. Overall, the food was outstanding, the service was top-notch, and the vibe was spot-on. If you're in St. Pete and craving a burger that's unique and delicious, this place can be added to the list!

We stopped by Engine No. 9 for some burgers and were pleasantly surprised. The place has that hole-in-the-wall vibe, which I usually enjoy. We ordered the bacon cheeseburger, the Damn Gouda burger, and a side of wings drenched in Sriracha sauce. We asked for the burgers medium-well, and they came out cooked just right. These are gourmet-style burgers, so if you're expecting smash burgers, this isn't the spot--but the flavors were solid and satisfying. The wings were flavorful with a good kick, and the service was excellent--friendly and very attentive without being overbearing. All in all, great food and even better service. I'd definitely come back again.

Great burgers and an outstanding beer selection. Can be busy as it is not a big place, but worth the wait if necessary.

Looking for a place to watch Ohio State Football Game against that other team. Is this a good place to watch it on Saturday?

Definitely , you can tell they love sports here there are tables in the back with dedicated tvs with remotes I believe 😳. And a TV is visible from pretty much every seat.

Is the name in reference to the band Deftones' song?

I highly doubt it. It is a busy place with great burgers. If you go to their website it says the following:… Read more

Do you have gluten free buns?

    Yes, they do.

Is the phone number on the website as well as on Google the right phone number for this place because every time I call it there is no answer and goes to voicemail. I can never call an order for this restaurant. Why is this?

I called the number on Yelp and it’s the same number on Google. I think it depends on when u call and if they are busy there.

Well-versed on the menu and a very pleasant lady. It's certainly not a fancy place and it looks like it's been around for a while, but it's the kind of place where you might like to hang out at the bar. Everyone there seems to be friendly and you get that comfortable feeling. We had a variety of food items, some better than others but nothing below average. Really good salads, as you can see by the pictures, a nice job on the chicken wings, a BLT that was pretty tasty; the butternut squash soup was OK, pretty thick and not hot at all. One was returned to the kitchen to be heated up. There was a chicken dip that really didn't hit the spot, and the tortilla chips that came with it seem to be past their prime. As for the fried mushrooms. I found them pretty much ordinary. A nice surprise were the brussels sprouts with balsamic and goat cheese. Really really good. Overall, I would give the food about a 3 1/2 stars at the service five stars so what averages out around four stars. Like I said it looks like a nice place to hang around and have a couple of beverages and a little something to eat.

Surprisingly mild on flavor despite the toppings, and it's a BIG boy... which I know some people love, but I tend to prefer a smash burger so I'll take partial responsibility for that note! The fries, however, were excellent... textured, crispy, exactly how fries should be. The real standout of the visit was the chilaquiles (the chef's brunch special). It ran a little dry, but the flavors more than made up for it. The combination of crunchy tortilla chips, smoky sauce, pickled onions, egg, avocado, and cilantro all together was just so good... my boyfriend was equally obsessed. Would absolutely order again.
