I showed up with fifteen people and they took good care of us. Cold drinks and really good food. Our server checked on us constantly and we were well served. The dining area is on sand, it has a tiki bar feel but it's nicer than most tiki bars. Excellent view of the sunset so make sure you time it well.

Fast service from a full bar menu. Bartenders are friendly. Clean area with beautiful lite torches for heat and ambient light. Lots of drink choices. Came here after dinner for a view of the ocean and toes in the sand! Wonderful place to come! We had a night cap and chatted with others visiting. Very friendly people. Great atmosphere and friendly place. Definitely a place to enjoy a great evening seaside!

Came here to eat on our first night in Clearwater in July 2025. Place closes at 9, and we got there at 8. There was no rushing us so we had a full dinner experience. It was myself, my Wife and kids ages 19 and 15. The restaurant itself is right on the water, elevated about 15 feet over the Gulf of Mexico. The ambiance is total beach, But the restaurant has more of an upscale vibe rather than a beach bar vibe. That being said, the tables are set on sand, so that is pretty cool. We skipped apps and got drinks and ordered dinner. My Wife had the taco bowl and it was ok. Not spectacular as the bowl was not that crispy. But it had a good taste. One daughter has a Caesar salad and loved it, and my youngest had the Mac n cheese and it was yummy. I had the sandbar bowl which had quinoa, black beans, wild rice, red onion, roasted peppers and cherry tomatoes. Food was good, service and atmosphere great. Go. Here.

We dined here as a family and the food was overall delicious and the staff were pretty attentive to our needs throughout our visit. The oceanfront views are stunning and the tiki hut added a nice vibe to the place. The wait time was super quick as well, we only waited 20ish mins to be seated. I highly recommend their smash burger and fries, they were very delicious. The one complaint our relatives had was that their kid's Mac n cheese was severely lacking cheese and did not taste good. It also appeared to be Kraft Mac n cheese, but with less sauce than the boxed version. Other than that everything else was great! Parking is conveniently located steps away in a paid lot.

Great lunch spot with an amazing view of the water. Got seated right away. Server was very polite and offered suggestions on their specials. Ordered the crab salad BLT with was fabulous and plentiful. Wife got the blackened grouper sandwich which looked great and she stated it was very good. The real winner was the tuna tower appetizer. Fabulous!!! Will definitely go back next time we are in town. Cost was on par with the area.. 2 entrees and an appetizer and we didn't get alcohol so it's $80 before tip.

Highly recommend the Sandbar! The food was great and really flavorful. I had the Jerk Chicken Sandwich, which was perfectly seasoned and not too spicy--just the right amount of heat. The chicken was juicy, and the sandwich was filling and delicious. The atmosphere was great too--relaxed, fun, and a perfect spot for dinner with friends or family. Service was friendly and attentive, which made the experience even better. I'll definitely be coming back!

    Sunset

Food was good. Service was bad. We sat do more than 30 min before getting water and placing an order. Then waited another 30 min for food. Then another 40 mins on the check. Best part was the sunset. Very romantic.

From a tourist's point of view Great location LITERALLY ON THE BEACH Beautiful view SAW DOLPHINS Staff is ehhh The sign says wait to be seated but no one came to seat us. After seeing a few(regulars maybe) my husband and I walked in and took a seat!! Got a HUGE alcoholic drink that tasted like JUICE CAPRISON (if you're into that type of thing go go for it) I wanted an ADULT drink!! Food was large portions Nothing to write home about!!

Solid 4 stars. Is there probably somewhere better? Yeah. But would I come back here again? Absolutely. Great views, friendly service, strong drinks & pretty good food. They have 32oz "buckets" of a select few tiki drinks that were a pretty good price. There is bar seating and table seating with plenty of umbrellas.

This place was perfect! The view of the crystal blue waters was magnificent, and gave off a good breeze to keep you from sizzling. The food came out in a good timely manner and was freshly made. Highly recommend the Island Crab BLT and it was one of the best Caesar salads I've had in a long time!! The service was prompt and not over bearing; our server was quick on her feet with our drinks!

Both times we've visited Clearwater Beach, we ate at The Sandbar and were never disappointed. The food was amazing, and the atmosphere was perfect for a beachside meal. Just a heads-up--watch your food! The birds around here are sneaky and just as hungry as you are.

I absolutely love this spot. A must when visiting Clearwater beach. The food is delicious. The service is always on point. I love the hummus platter. I also enjoy that even though it's lively, I can still hold a conversation.

Always stop here when passing through the area. Parking tough sometimes but hotel will valet car which is a little pricey. But for a relaxing time in a scenic sand bar by the water it's nice. Always great food.

Is this a good place to catch a football game?

I'm gonna say no. This is a better place to watch a sunset than a football game. I don't even remember if they have tvs at the bar, but I wouldn't want to try to watch there unless I really didn't care about the game.
