They offered a preset menu specifically for VDay where each person could order one appetizer, one dinner, and one dessert for $120/pp. The glass wall with moving water bubbles and constantly chasing colors is a fun view to sit by (pic posted). The brussel sprouts appetizer is HUGE. It was double the size I have received at other places, so took some back to the hotel for leftovers. They also came with a tasty dipping sauce that was unique as well. The Caesar salad was neutral; no strong flavor yet not distasteful. No anchovies taste either. I could take it or leave it. The filet steak was tender served over some mashed potatoes and thick asparagus wrapped in salty, yummy bacon. Amazing experience for dinner and breakfast at SeaGuini! Portions a huge and for dinner we started with the Brussels sprouts and fried artichoke. Both were great. We ended up splitting the seafood pasta dish, and it was more than either of us could eat, even after splitting it. Service was good for dinner. Martini was good, but the blue cheese stuffed olives were prepackaged from a jar. Breakfast blew us away. Every dish we had was great. I don't think you can go wrong. Breakfast pizza was surprisingly great and enough for two people to split. Service at breakfast was fantastic. The coffee was always flowing and the servers were always smiling. The atmosphere and ambience are OK. I don't love the vibe, as it felt like a dated dining room experience. But Food was still great. If you are staying at the Opal Sands, the entire complex has amazing food and you don't even have to leave. Huge benefit to staying there. read more

From the grouper with pineapple salsa to the shrimp dishes. This is a nice seafood restaurant located in a hotel on Clearwater Beach. The food, service, and ambience were excellent. It came with high prices, but it was worth the experience. We had a reservation for 6:30pm and went outside on the pool deck in the middle of our dinner to take sunset pictures. It was rainy, but the pictures still turned out nice. We were, however, disappointed because my friend put that we were celebrating her birthday on the reservation, and they did not acknowledge it at all. Here is what we got: Grilled octopus: great appetizer! The octopus was cooked well and tasty. Crispy stuffed artichoke: not artichoke-tasting at all with a strange interior. The outside fried part tasted great though. Beet salad: loved the beets and the citrus fruit. I replaced blue cheese with feta because I am not a blue cheese fan, but the feta still had too much of a distinct sharp taste (in an unpleasant way). This was surprising to me because I have always previously liked feta. Pan-seared local snapper: great taste and flavourful fish! A few of my friends ordered it, and they all enjoyed it. Tiramisu: the most tiramisu-tasting tiramisu I've had. The coffee liqueur taste was very strong. Such a small piece though. read more

Our Valentine's Day dinner at Seaguini, at a window table in the lounge, was very elegant but actually disappointing to both of us. We started with a shrimp cocktail sprinkled with sprouts, with an odd-tasting sauce that seemed greasy and didn't cling to the shrimp. Next came an excellent lobster bisque. We both had fish entrees, and found them to be overdone with fancy embellishments that smothered and overpowered rather than complimenting the fish. We shared a slice of Key Lime pie, but left much of the too-thick, hard crust. Despite our quibbles we had a lovely time and the service was perfect. We breakfasted here all week during our stay; the food and service were first-rate. For dinner, however, we preferred Drift in the Opal Sol across the street. The service is on par with what you would expect in a fine dining establishment. The food is delicious and fresh. I really enjoyed my Gulf Coast Cioppino, and I have high expectations as I grew up eating Cioppino in San Francisco where it originated. When I was down visiting a friend in Clearwater, we decided to celebrate my birthday at SeaGuini. The restaurant is beautiful, the waterfall wall is so cool. The gulf views and sunsets are amazing. The food is good and the service was exceptional. This is a high end place so expect to pay about $120pp. The steaks and seafood were well done. If you're in Clearwater, you won't regret dining at Seaguini in Opal Sands Hotel. We had the most wonderful anniversary meal which started with crisp Sonoma Cutrer Chardonnay. Our appetizer, buratta bruschetta, was the absolute best we've ever had. It was melt in your mouth good. My vodka penne was equally tasty. Just a wonderful combination of cheesy goodness. My husband found his arrabbiata just a tad bland but the shrimp were nice-sized and the noodles well cooked. For dessert, we were given a free blueberry cheesecake which was silky perfection. We ordered a chocolate mousse sponge which was equally good with a nice mix of savory and sweet. We ended the meal with lemoncello and espresso. The wait staff were all extremely attentive and kind. Watching the sun set surrounded by good food and smiling faces is an experience I won't soon forget. Well done, Seaquini! read more

I tried a slice of the margherita pizza - a classic, oven-roasted tomatoes, fresh mozzarella cheese, housemade pomodoro sauce, torn basil at the table, and that's a pass. Had an overall fine dining experience here. The hotel and restaurant are both stunning and the views facing the ocean are perfect for a lovely dinner. My boyfriend and I got seated right away and Chris was our server. He got our drink and food orders right away. I had ordered a glass of Cabernet wine and my boyfriend tried their Manhattan and old fashioned drink. We had also ordered the Tuscan pizza as an appetizer. Our drinks came after being seated for 25 minutes which took a while, but our pizza ended up taking a whole hour to come to our table which was quite frustrating. We also noticed 3 tables who sat after us, receive their appetizers within 10-15 minutes from ordering. Chris could sense our confusion and frustration and comped our appetizer off our bill right away which was appreciated. The rest of the food just meets expectations. We had grouper sandwich and grouper tacos. We started with opal salad and tuna crudo. Salad was pretty good and tuna crudo was enjoyable as well. Unfortunately the portion was pretty small. My partner and I dined here for the three-course Valentine's Day menu, and unfortunately, we were very disappointed. The food was extremely average and significantly overpriced for the quality we received. The pasta tasted like it had been frozen and reheated rather than freshly prepared. The NY strip lacked the texture and flavor you'd expect from a steak and was more reminiscent of pot roast. For a special holiday menu, we were expecting something much more elevated. We were honestly shocked when the bill came to $300. For that price point, the experience and food quality simply didn't match the cost. We visited this restaurant several times while on vacation to Clearwater. It is located inside the Opal Sands Hotel and is by far one of the best dining options in Clearwater Beach. The restaurant has a variety of food options but they specialize in seafood. However the short rib was amazing and we got it on several occasions. Their starters and mains are all big portions and one thing we loved is the restaurant was willing to split a dish amongst two people. We did this on a few of our visits as after the first one we realized that by each of us (4) ordering starters, mains, and desserts we were having to take a lot of food leftover. The staff was always very accommodating for any of our needs and the recommendations they gave nightly were wonderful. My family is already looking forward to our return visit. read more

The focaccia bread was a fabulous appetizer and came with sweet honey butter that keeps it light after a Long Beach day. We had the penne alla vodka with sea scallops and the tropical grouper - both were spectacular. The pasta was hand made and the grouper was nice and flakey.
