The brussel sprouts appetizer is HUGE. It was double the size I have received at other places, so took some back to the hotel for leftovers. They also came with a tasty dipping sauce that was unique as well. The Caesar salad was neutral; no strong flavor yet not distasteful. No anchovies taste either. I could take it or leave it. The filet steak was tender served over some mashed potatoes and thick asparagus wrapped in salty, yummy bacon. The smoky old fashioned and expresso martini (with Baileys added extra!) drinks were tasty. Make a reservation online and Uber/Lyft if you are close as it's easy in and out!

We ended up splitting the seafood pasta dish, and it was more than either of us could eat, even after splitting it. Service was good for dinner. Martini was good, but the blue cheese stuffed olives were prepackaged from a jar. Breakfast blew us away. Every dish we had was great. I don't think you can go wrong. Breakfast pizza was surprisingly great and enough for two people to split. Service at breakfast was fantastic. The coffee was always flowing and the servers were always smiling. The atmosphere and ambience are OK. I don't love the vibe, as it felt like a dated dining room experience. But Food was still great. If you are staying at the Opal Sands, the entire complex has amazing food and you don't even have to leave. Huge benefit to staying there.

We started with 3 orders of grilled oysters, 3 for $5 is still a great deal. The cajun seasoning and cheese on top made them incredibly flavorful and enjoyable. They were so good we basically decided to order a second batch the moment we finished the first. We also got the fried Brussels sprouts and coconut shrimp. The coconut shrimp was delicious with the sweet and sour sauce, and the brussel sprouts were just pure yum. We were so into the appetizers that we almost skipped entrees, but decided to share a shrimp po'boy. The shrimp was perfectly crispy, exactly what we were looking for. Overall, great location, great food, friendly staff, fast service, and happy hour makes it all that much better. Will happily return and recommend!

Stopped into Salty's Island Bar & Grille for lunch on a Friday and left more confused than…read moresatisfied. The first odd moment was at check-in: our party of two was asked to sit at the outside high-top bar, even though the restaurant was mostly empty. That would have been fine if it was consistent, but right after that another party of two was told they could sit wherever they wanted. It set the tone that we were being "managed" into a specific spot for reasons that weren't about availability. Food-wise, it was actually fine. We ordered tacos and the surf and turf, and both were solid enough. Nothing blew me away, but nothing was wrong with it either. Service was also fine in the best way, our server was attentive without hovering and checked in at the right times. The value, though, is where this place starts slipping. A big chunk of the menu being market price feels misleading in practice, because it makes it harder to know what you're committing to until you're already there, and the final cost landed firmly on the expensive side for what we got. If you're going to charge premium prices, the overall experience has to match it. Unfortunately, the biggest issue had nothing to do with the kitchen. Because we were placed at that outside high-top bar, we ended up sitting a few feet away from a salesperson "training" another person directly in front of the restaurant, and their conversation was loud, crude, and uncomfortable the entire time. It wasn't just casual chatter, it was grotesque commentary, including a loudly announced remark about what he had done in the bathroom, plus a running lesson on how to deceive people and other tactics that sounded like a timeshare pitch tied to Wyndham. On top of that, the guy was openly ogling women, which made the area feel unpleasant and honestly embarrassing to sit near. The kicker was when we left, the same person tried to sell to us on the way out, apparently not realizing we'd been sitting right behind him the whole lunch. I understand people need to make a living, but the combination of the language, the behavior, and the proximity to diners completely undermined the experience. I don't know what the relationship is between that sales operation and Salty's. If you go, ask to sit inside or away from the bar/patio traffic, and be prepared for higher-than-expected pricing.

The bar is located on the third floor and we took the elevator to get up there. The atmosphere is an open outdoor bar with tiki themed decor and a DJ. The music was super loud which was not appealing to us but we found a secluded table that was away from the noise. The views from the rooftop are spectacular even if it was way too loud. We ordered one round of drinks and all of them were delicious! I ordered the buttery chi chi which was not super strong which was perfect for me. My partners ordered stronger drinks and both were delicious. The ratings on their menu are definitely accurate for what you can expect from a liquor forward perspective. The bar was slammed so it took a little bit to get our drinks but everyone was very nice. We didn't order any food but would probably return for drinks!

The bartenders are constantly moving and looking around to refill drinks; top notch service. The snack menu is legit too. The queso nachos were good and perfect for two of us.
