Jimmy's crows nest had an incredible view of the beach and ocean! There was plenty of seating that had great views. There was no happy hour, but there were daily specials. The bartender was incredibly efficient and super friendly! The menus needed an upgrade! Some were so worn that you couldn't read the items. I stuck with the salsa, guac, chip combo to be on the safe side after reading previous yelp reviews about food. One warning with the guac and salsa is that it was super spicy! Nice little open rooftop restaurant on top of the Pier 60 House Hotel across from Pier 60. I often find that you give up food quality for views in rooftop restaurants, but the food here was actually very good. My wife got the grilled chicken tacos and I got the Cuban sandwich, which we both enjoyed. They only had canned beers (I prefer draught), and, of course, mixed drinks. Can get busy during typical peak hours but it does have a good amount of seating capacity. read more

Okay, the view is pretty freaking cool. Drinks are like typical college bar drinks, it's definitely worth it to come up here and grab one to sit and be able to watch the sunset, but that's probably all I would suggest. My wife and I have spent several trips to clear water and typically go to Jimmys edge. We decided to walk a bit one evening and try some other spots then end up at the edge later. We ended up at Jimmies Crows Nest. First and foremost with any establishment, if you Don't have people that care and have some personality. You're fighting a losing battle. ALL of their staff were attentive, fun and created a very great experience for my wife and I. We have a couple pinas and then some beers and watched the sun fall over the ocean. We ordered some food, wings, burger and bbq. Amazing speed and to the table hot. 2nd we leave there and head over to cap the night at Jimmies Edge our first loved spot. On the elevator ride up, i engaged a conversation with a gentleman in the box with us. We end up learning that he was Jimmies brother and got to learn the story of all the Jimmies and a few other places. A very down to earth gentleman that we enjoyed sharing some industry stories with. We end up have a few drinks here at Jimmies Edge then head back after the evening ended. We love clearwater and we loved Jimmies Edge, however we have went to Jimmies crows nest nightly and service has been consistent to our first experience! Came here last night to watch the sunset. They give out shots with the sunset but somehow we missed that. At top of a hotel. Smaller area than we expected. Views of the beach are spectacular! Loud music from the 1980's with videos. Hello MTV! They have a limited menu and only 1table ordered food, a pizza. The wind picked up and we tried to sit under the bars heat lamps. There were standing heaters but weren't being used. Too chilly to stay more than one drink. My bf had the rum runner and I had the Mexican mule, both were good! Prices aren't bad. We were there before sunset on a night that wasn't very busy, yet the service was lackadaisical (for lack of a better word). Husband ordered a drink from their cocktail menu and said it was "nothing special"; I ordered a traditional old-fashioned, and I don't know what I got but it wasn't that. So watered down and I wasn't sure that there was even alcohol in it. There was a guy sitting near us that I think our waiter knew, and he was having some issues. Pacing back and forth past our table, playing music loudly on his phone, definitely pissed off about something, and then he lit up a cigarette. Yes, smoking is allowed here. Our waiter was nice about moving us away from him (that's one star), and my Cuban was actually very good (the second star)......but it came with a bag of Lays potato chips. A bag! There are a lot better places to eat in Clearwater than this. read more

We chose to come up here for some food and drinks because it looked like it would have a great view of the beach and ocean, and we weren't wrong. We sat at the bar and my friend ordered the wings, and they were pretty good. I ordered the fish tacos. I love tacos...but these were the absolute WORST tacos I've ever tasted. The fish was dry and hard, and the greens were too bitter and hard. I couldn't stomach any more than two bites. The service, drinks, and prices were fairly decent, with exception that no one followed up to see how our food was. I was hungry so I ate the chips and one of my friend's wings. When our plates were eventually swiftly removed, we still weren't asked how our food was, and it went unnoticed that the tacos had barely been touched. That was a bummer. I had a pina colada, a rooftop rum runner, and a sea cucumber splash...they were all very good drinks. Do NOT get the fish tacos! read more

Amazing ambiance! We came here for the view and we were not disappointed. Definitely a great place to watch the sunset as you sip on a cool cocktail. There is clock to count down the time of the sunset. In addition, the staff hand out free shots to everyone there. The drinks were pretty good. We liked the Cruzan breeze and the Tropical temptation. The Florida mule was a disappointment so we do not recommend that one. Our favorite was the frozen pina colada. The service was great. The staff were friendly and quick with our order. Must try the Giant Pretzel! Lastly, get there early to get good seats. We came there about 40 minutes before the sunset and all the good seats (seats at the edge) were taken! Shane was very informative & after my bf & I shared a Pesto Chicken Wrap for lunch he helped us find a finer dining spot in the area & offered a card for free rides! The Pesto Chicken Wrap was like a very healthy chicken salad wrap, didn't taste any Pesto so asked for Ranch. Ranch was ok. Maybe mayo or mustard inside would've added that flavor it was lacking.
