I asked what they have for options which was beer or cocktails. The beer choices were not friendly to anyone who doesn't like the standard Bud/Light, Coors, etc.... Yuengling is about as exotic as it gets here. On that alone we won't be back. Hey, it's their prerogative to serve whatever they want... it must work for them. The place is really dark and smoky. Tv's to watch. I did not use the restroom while there. I guess overall I was not super impressed. The bartender was very nice. A couple of the patrons were friendly. That was about it. Honestly, it is not horrible. It is 'ok.' But we most likely won't be backlist based on the (lack of) beer selection.

And there is a communal microwave, oddly positioned next to the pool table for those who perhaps bring food which needs to be heated up? This place opened in 1961 and claims to be the oldest bar in Dunedin. This is interesting because just the other day I was hanging out at The Inn Lounge on the Dunedin Causeway and they're open date is 1960, a full year before Tumbleweeds. Bar Wars, anyone? Victoria is a very friendly bartender, and I would potentially consider revisiting this place simply because it's been around for a really long time. However, it is a cash-only business and I cannot freaking stand cash-only businesses.

I find the shoes for renting are clean and the bowling balls for use are pretty well maintained. There are a lot of leagues that play here. If going for open bowling, I suggest to call ahead or attend an event they promote that is open bowling. Overall the bowling alley is very well maintained and they provide a really fun atmosphere. There is a restaurant on the property however when it is closed you can go to a local restaurant and bring food in. Again I would just check for the times that you are there to ensure the availability of food inside the building as well as bringing food from outside the building. There's also a bar inside that many people patron and you can get good drinks at a reasonable price there.
