And there is a communal microwave, oddly positioned next to the pool table for those who perhaps bring food which needs to be heated up? This place opened in 1961 and claims to be the oldest bar in Dunedin. This is interesting because just the other day I was hanging out at The Inn Lounge on the Dunedin Causeway and they're open date is 1960, a full year before Tumbleweeds. Bar Wars, anyone? Victoria is a very friendly bartender, and I would potentially consider revisiting this place simply because it's been around for a really long time. However, it is a cash-only business and I cannot freaking stand cash-only businesses.

Always greeted with a friendly smile and hello with a prompt service of your drink of choice. These guys are so good that they can recall most every person's favorite drink! Now that is awesome. The place is always clean even when a bit of popcorn is dropped from customers, it is not long before it is cleaned up. The tables are cleaned regularly and the staff picks up empties all the time and ready to provide you with a refill. Don't forget to look for the "Dog-Pig" it is a thing, and you may end up with a free drink when you find it. The outside has tables ready for you on those great days and evenings you want to sit outside. Most every weekend, they have live entertainment outside (when the weather permits). There seemed to be some kind of wedding going on but there wasn't a private party sign posted and no one said anything so we went up to the bar. Stood there for a few minutes, the bartenders just pretended like we didn't exist. After a few minutes One of the patrons tried starting a fight with us. There were 5 of us and 50 wedding guests so we just decided to leave. I can't speak on the food because we were never waited on. The atmosphere is not great, smoky and unwelcoming.
