They came when there was a break in attempt and replace the dead boat. Lock with a new one fairly reasonable. But certainly good service.

Amazing people who really care about their clients. Thank you so much you went out of your way. Gave me a wonderful discount and took care of me in an emergency where other businesses capitalize on such moments they were there for me and bent over backwards and stayed overtime to make sure I was accommodated. A real old school family business that cares about the craft. Thank you Roni Haim read more

TL;DR: Excellent experience with Al through the entire process. Straightforward, knowledgeable, cordial, punctual, prompt, and transparent. We were in a time bind, but Albert swiftly came through. Fair pricing and superb workmanship. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Only a couple days before our open house, the front door knob and lock finally stopped opening. We scrambled to find a locksmith nearby and got a recommendation for Albert at Midway as he has 40 years of experience. After leaving a voice mail, he quickly called me back and reviewed the photos of the knob and lock in question that I shared. Al provided clear options for replacement and promptly ordered the new parts. Next day he arrived right on time and quickly got to work. The new locks were definitely recent models while looking similar to our old models, which is what we wanted. He made sure every single keys were working perfectly with the new locks (changed the deadbolt as well) before finishing the job. Really grateful that Al came through in less than 48 hours and ensure we proceeded with the open house as scheduled. read more

Midway is the very best place to go for anything involving keys and locks. The owner is kind (I think is name is Albert) very personable and extremely knowledgeable. He really is a wonderful man. I had keys duplicated here - I was in and out in 5 minutes, super easy, quick, and affordable. Both keys work perfectly!

Albert is kind, honest, and straight forward. I was happy doing business with him. He ordered and cut new manual car keys for me, which was a hard service to find. Prices were very fair and honest. I will always come back here for locksmith services. read more

Midway Locksmith Service - Keys & Locksmiths Near Me - Los Angeles, California

Al tried to charge my wife $250 for something he quoted me $100. I brought my key for my wife's car to have it programmed. Al inspected the key and told me to bring my car around back. He quoted me $100. When I told him my wife has the car, he said come back with the car. 1 month later, my wife came back with the key and the car. He inspected the key and asked her where the car was. He quoted her $250. He told her that this key is a piece of junk and she needed to buy another key from him so that he could program it. Somehow the same key became a piece of junk that needed to be replaced when my wife brought it in. Shameful. read more

Do yourself a favor and get keys made from this place. The gentleman working there was more than helpful he was AMAZING ask for AL.

Fast and friendly service. I needed copies of a couple keys and was in and out within 1 minute! I'd come back here any day.

I remembered having a great experience buying a door knob lock box from these guys a while back. When my 288 lb Fire Safe decided to lose power to its digital combination keypad, I decided to give these guys a whirl again. Al picked up the phone and was friendly while going straight into efficient Help Mode. I was halfway expecting to make an appointment to have someone come out to inspect it/ perhaps verify my ownership, but I pretty much had no idea what I needed to prepare for. Al immediately asked if it was ok to call me back from a cell phone. He then asked for photos of the safe via text message so he could properly assess the situation. Within minutes of sending the photos of my safe to Al, he called me back to give me instructions on how to replace the batteries myself. The instructions were so easy, I actually felt kind of silly for not just googling about it first in hindsight! Lol Boy, am I glad I called this place before hauling that heavy sucker in. Thanks, Al! read more

Albert is the man! I'm an office manager for a management co and I've been using him for over 8 years. I always recommend him to our tenants. Quick response, efficient work, and fair pricing. What more can you ask for? read more

I lost the transponder keys to my car. Dealer quoted me a ridiculously high price to replace them. Al from Midway Lock and Safe met me at my house in Venice beach and made me two new keys in under a hour. I shopped around first and Al was the best price I could find for someone to come out. He also save me more by calling my AAA for me and using a discount that I didn't know about. He understands that this can be a urgent situation for some people and he was a pleasure to deal with. I fully recommend there services over the dealership. read more

Midway Locksmith Service - Keys & Locksmiths Near Me - Los Angeles, California

Nice job! Just when I was going to become another victim of the sheisters who call themselves Toyota Service Stations, Midway Locksmith came to my aid. The former was going to charge us $115 for a replacement remote key for our Camry PLUS a $50 reprogramming charge that was going to take 1 hour. Aghast at such robbery, I google mapped the closest remote key service to me and found Midway Locksmith. With an over-the-phone quote of $65 total fee (new key and programming charge), I knew I was dealing with an honest broker here. Not only that, the 1 hour programming was going to take a mere 5 minutes time. True to his, word, this was all done by the owner with dispatch who was also able to revive our old remote key and reprogram that, as well! A nice added bonus! The lesson here: if you are beyond warrantee and can source out work from a car dealer to another specialist (here: a locksmith), do so! You might find that there are nice, honest brokers who can do the same things for a fraction of the cost! read more

I loved this place! It's a little hole in the wall, but the owner is really responsive and very nice, and didn't make me wait around like other locksmiths have. He was also able to re-cut a secure Honda key at a very reasonable price for something so specialty. A+! read more

I needed someone to program the key and remote for my 2007 RAV4. I called a Toyota Dealer and they wanted to charge me $250. I found Midway on Yelp, gave them a call and was quoted $95. When I arrived, they cut my key and told me there was no chip inside of the key that needed to be programmed, it was just the remote that needed to be programmed - so the cost was only $30. I was thrilled! The bottom line...they were very responsive - returned my call within 15-minutes of leaving a message. Their pricing was reasonable. They worked quickly (I was in and out inside of 10-minutes). And I was happy with their service and their pricing. Side note: The guy who helped me was professional, though not friendly or personable. But he got the job done. read more

WoW! The Cheapest deals in Los Angeles! But still quality. I got such a good deal, that I even ordered another key on the spot. Albert's the man and all the employees are great. read more

I wish I could give this guy more than 5 stars. I bought a relatively expensive deadbolt for my place. Since it's wasn't one of the cheapo basic types (Kwikset, Schlage), he had to walk me through how to install it, since it had many more steps than the cheaper ones. I thought I had it down and took it home and got it installed...only it didn't work. I called him up and he tried to trouble shoot it but we couldn't figure it out. So what did he do? He closed down his shop and drove over to my house. He figured it out in 5 minutes, totally my fault, and we got it fixed. When I tried to give him some money, his response? "Buy me a beer sometime!" He smiled and drove off. This shop carries EVERYTHING. From the cheapo $25 locks, to $180 Medeco and the Israeli version. If you need to protect anything with a lock, this is the place to go. he will work with you to make sure you get the best you can get within your price range. And he's AAA certified. read more

Got quotes from dealership for $4-500, that he did for me for $200. Also took about 20 mins tops (which I'm sure at the dealership it would have been hours). That gets a 5 star review from me! And I will be recommending him to everyone. Thank you!!!! read more

Unfortunately I tend to lock myself out of things somewhat often. Fortunately I found Albert a few years ago and saved his number after an amazing experience. This review is long overdo! Al has saved me on multiple occasions, he's reliable and accurate as far as pricing and service. This can be really hard to find in a locksmith and I'm really grateful to him for being such an honest technician! He has helped me out once again with quick service fair pricing:) read more

I went in to get a new Prius 2009 fob key. I was happy that it could be done in same day but it took longer than expected. The job was done at the end of day and I was happy that it didn't turn into a multi day process. Cost $225 plus tax, final price $246.38 read more

I don't normally write reviews, however, what transpired tonight is worthy of a review..... an excellent one. At 6:00PM an exterior door lock jammed. I called Midway locksmith and was told he'd be here within 30 minutes. He showed up as promised, replaced the deadbolt mechanism (which solved the problem) and only charged $85 including the new part! He was finished in about 20 minutes. I could not have asked for a better experience. I highly recommend Midway Lock & Safe. read more

This is where I go when I have a difficult lock issue: needing discontinued or rare blanks to make key copies, fixing an antique pocket door lock, getting a mechanical (not-electronic) Simplex safe, etc. Costs a little more than Home Depot to copy a key, but when you get home, their keys always work perfectly. Which is way more than I can say for half the other locksmiths out there - especially HD and the kiosks in Rite Aid, which are just awful. read more

If you have a lock, door, automobile and/or just about anything else with a controlled access device Midway Lock and Safe can fix the locking device. And if you are locked out of anything just call Al at Midway Lock and Safe. Found these guys a couple weeks back and had an incredible experience. I had been looking for a way to replace or fix the key to my car for the past few months and been told "no" by everyone I asked. This is not the most simple key, nor the most complex, of course, but I had gone from key shops to the Mercedes Benz official car service center itself, none of whom could complete the simple task of replacing the battery! Finally, I stepped in here on a whim and Lo an behold they opened up a manual to "all car keys in the past few years" and fixed it within a few minutes, for a very good price. Not to mention they were all very friendly and fun to chat with while I waited. I look forward to coming back--Frank, Chris, and Boss! read more

I am absolutely thrilled with the service at this place! Yesterday I lost my car key and needed to have a new one made. I called all over town and everyone was charging $300, including AAA. These guys charged a fraction of that, came right away, were so professional (and every locksmith told that the fact that I have a Jetta was going to make this very difficult if not impossible), and the guy was even a pleasure. Charming, respectful, I could not be happier. Thank you MIdway! read more

Both of my Mitsubishi Eclipse factory keys cracked and I even lost one of the metal parts for it. I called the dealership and they quoted me over $300 for each key. I realized I needed a locksmith since dealers always over price everything. I had never been in need of a locksmith, so I did what anyone else would do. I Google mapped it, and the closest one was Midway. I called and they were very friendly and informative. When I came in Steve greeted me with a big smile and helped us out. He was very knowledgable and quick. Their pricing was very reasonable too and way better than the dealer's by a lot. Best around. He made two identical keys and they both worked great on my Eclipse. I will be referring Midway Locksmith to everyone I know. Great business and Steve is superb! Thank you again. read more

We had been without keys to 2001 Acura for 3 years, only had the valet key and couldn't open trunk. Albert cut a real key using the VIN, took less than 15 minutes, charged $75, and it works! Overjoyed at Quick, Efficient, Correct, Affordable work!! read more

Very please by the quick response and the extensive and creative efforts to resolve my problems. I had broken off a key in my truck which also was used to start the car. I was referred to this company to come to my house and install a deadbolt. They came over ON TIME which was awesome. He installed the lock and was gone in less than thirty minutes. I needed to get two new keys made for my Scion tC. As the Scion is using a transponder key and combination remote I knew it was going to be pricey. However, I was in shock when two dealers quoted me over $500 to make two keys! I happened to run into reviews on Yelp for Midway Lock and Safe. It turns out they had the key/remotes in stock and completed the entire job for $200 for two new keys and programming. The actual programming took about 15 minutes vs. the 3-6 hours the dealers were quoting me! Well worth the 20 mile drive! read more

Al was great in programming my 2007 car with both an actual key and car fob. I paid $95 for the service and it took all of 20 minutes, which I just spent hanging out at The Grove anyway. My situation was tricky because the key I gave him (the one I currently use) to use as a guide for the key blank only works on one side. Al was able to use the one side that worked to cut the key blank so that BOTH sides work. He even gave me a spare key to use when I go surfing. I will definitely go back to Al next time I need keys to be made or programmed. Thanks Al! read more

After the frustrating experience with Beverly locksmith I trusted yelp once again and gave this man a shit. Although it was Sunday he agreed to see me in 15 mins. I paid 109$(tax included) for a key that was quoted 388$ at SM toyots dealership and 190$ at the other locksmith (granted I took the non remote verdion, if I took the remote version it would be 50$ more but still cheaper than 2 other options). Can't say enough about this old time locksmith! I locked myself out of my apartment... They came in less than 30 minutes and charged less than $100.00!! And...
