These guys are real pros. Both men today were super humble, and opted to stay low-key. Before asking any CSA or customer service All Star if theyre open to being featured (pictured) in a review,I always give them the proper respect and courtesy and ask them first. All that said, this was a super super busy and hectic day with the crowds given the incredible weather. It's basically July here in LA proper in early March. (Wow) My old 2013 Chevy spark has run its course through all of its remote fob keys. As a result, I thought I would have to go to the dealer where I know they would kill me with the price. ($300 easy-is I'm sure most of you know). I was in and out of here in about 15 minutes for $20 bucks. Nuff said! read more

The people there are always helpful and the keys they make always work. Their hours, 10 to 6, are serviceable and, being at the Farmer's Market, it is always safe to go there. I highly recommend Ralph's Key Shop. read more

AVI IS THE BEST LOCKSMITH ON THE PLANET! HE RESOLVED AN ISSUE THAT NO OTHER LOCKSMITH COULD! (I needed a key fob that was discontinued by Mazda.) Avi is my hero, and I will never go anywhere else. He's also a really nice, patient guy, and his prices are fair! If you need something more complex than just having an extra housekey made, call ahead to make sure Avi will be there-or schedule an appointment with him over the phone. And if you need to wait a bit, for something like a car key fob, hanging out in Farmers Market or walking around the Grove is an added bonus. (Avi will call you when your key is ready!) They're located next to Cost Plus, and parking is free for 1.5 hours, with validation from Farmers Market. (Actually 2 hours free with validation from Cost Plus). read more

If the man at the counter was incredibly rude, I said hello twice before he even looked up at me and I know he hurt me. He had resting bitch face the whole time. I feel like he was the same last time I was here. Definitely will not be coming back. Rudest person read more

Ralph's Key Shop - Get your keys made, QUICKLY - Keys & Locksmiths Near Me - Los Angeles, California

I bought a key fob online, then brought it to Ralph's for programing. After spending time on my key, it was discovered that I bought the wrong type of key fob to Ralph's, but they offered to fix it when I brought the right key (basically spending twice as much time on my key but not charging extra). I went back with the right key, and it works perfectly. read more

Avi was very helpful and fast! He is cash only but let me know that World market next-door offers up to $40 cash back. While he made my keys I got to shop for some lovely things for my apartment. I'm glad I didn't listen to some of the negative reviews. He was a very sweet man and works hard to keep his business up and running!! SUPPORT SMALL BUSINESSES! LEAVE A TIP!! In my experience, people meet you at the energy you give them. If you meet someone with negative energy, are demanding, cold or rude, that's what you will receive. If you approach people with kindness and warmth, your energy will met and reciprocated!! Avi has a bunch of fun options for keys and also makes garage door clickers and car key replicas. They are contracted as well so if you get locked out of your car or home they can provide service 24/7! I'm so glad I got to chat with him and learn a little bit about him and his business. Stop by and get yourself some fresh keys! read more

Ralph's Key Shop - Mr Avi and I - Keys & Locksmiths Near Me - Los Angeles, California

Zero stars if I could. This guy was so rude and on his phone the entire time. He couldn't look up at me at all when I asked him a question. I have him some attitude back and then he finally looked up and refused to make a key for me. Obviously at this point I left. But the fact that someone so rude and disinterested in being at this place shouldn't be working here anymore. Unacceptable and disgusting. Do not come here ever! read more

Ralph's Key Shop - This is the guy who was so incredibly rude...still on his phone - Keys & Locksmiths Near Me - Los Angeles, California

Ralph does great work and is really friendly. The fact that he is at the Farmer's Market make getting a key fun.

The BEST key service in L.A. for DECADES. These gents have made perfect copies for me too many times to count -- both for residential keys & commercial ones. They are TRULY knowledgeable & skilled at what they do, especially with properly identifying the right key "blanks" -- even for old locks. They also replace batteries & program auto remotes and such. This charming stand at the Original Farmer's Mkt. (next to the Grove) was good b4 these gents took over. Now it is SUPERB. I have NEVER had a key made by them that didn't work. NEVER. Not meaning to put pressure on them (it is carved metal after all) but do yourself a SOLID and skip the multiple trips to Home Depot or those awful self-serve machines. You will be a devoted fan on 1st try. It is worth it even if you have to drive MILES extra to save the headaches & go to these guys. Parking is validated for 90 mins & I highly recommend parking in the easy, open lot where the Container Store is (enter at the light from Fairfax & go left - not right). You can pick up some nice items at the Fmr's Mkt while there. Ralph's is right in front of Cost Plus & the Coffee Bean. You're welcome :-) read more

Printed me a new key in 4 minutes. Cheaper than my triple AAA membership or the dealership. Could not rate high enough. Best prices around, and I called around for every key place within 20 miles. They also showed up super quickly and my favorite part was that I was able to text with them the entire time, which they were extremely responsive to. I hope to God that I never have my jacket stolen from the gym with my car keys inside of it ever again, but if I ever do, I will definitely call Ralph's first thing. Shit, that should be their catchphrase. 100/100 read more

Such skilled craftsmen. The copies are so high quality that even after duplicating a copy from a copy, it retained perfect ridges and never failed me. Every copy I've gotten elsewhere (automatic kiosks etc) has failed me but never the work of Ralph's Key shop. Also such rapid service. Was able to get 9 keys made in a matter of minutes. read more

Avi was extremely helpful in getting two new key fobs cut for my car. It's an older car and it's difficult to find someone outside of the extremely expensive dealer to work on this. I had already tried two different places that said they couldn't do it. Avi not only took care of it, the price was reasonable and he's a great guy. It's great to find a real craftsman these days.
