Antonio explained that using a tool to unlock the door from underneath would be on the lower end, while picking the lock would cost more. After the service, Antonio denied ever providing this information. We were told a technician would arrive within 20 minutes. Instead, we waited outside for over an hour while repeatedly being told the technician was "5 minutes away" despite continued delays for over an hour. When technician David arrived, he claimed our lock was a "commercial lock" and immediately quoted us $480, despite the maximum price we had confirmed with Antonio. But having seen him work on other people's shoes and seeing all the equipment he had indicated to me that he was an experienced cobbler. And I am glad I came to him. I lost the only keyless remote entry remote for my Escalade & after having to spend over $100 just to get the remote the dealer wanted to charge me $225 to program it. I contacted Cali Keys for a price quote & Oscar quoted me a price but also told me that it was quite simple & that I could do it myself. He even sent me the link for the youtube video to watch so I could do it. I did & it took all of a minute, tops. In this day & age that kind of service is almost unheard of. I appreciate it more than I could ever say. Oscar was great, went out of his way to help me & saved me money. Oscar is very honest, straight forward and also is a great communicator. He came all the way from downtown LA to west San Fernando Valley and while trying to program the car key, he realized that my original key had an atypical board and the new one could not be programmed in a regular way. He took on the responsibility to go back and two days later after he ordered a matching board came back and finished the job. despite the distance and sky-high gas prices, he never asked me for more than the original quoted amount. Oscar is f***ing a , the absolute! best pricing YOU WILL FIND. I had a key already cut from somebody off eBay only thing is, it DID NOT have the transponder it needed to be able to program toy car. So I called around a few places and they all pretty much wanted the same thing which is like 200 to 250 even though I already had the key cut ridiculous but I stumbled across Cali keys (Oscar) and I'm so glad I did because I only paid $85 to get the transponder I need and to have it program to my car. read more
