This morning I went to a Chevy Dealer to get a key made, another remote clicker and to purchase an additional remote clicker. The dealer told me they could not program the key for my car and they didn't carry the remote clicker for my car. Basically, they could not help me. However, they gave me a "phone number" to a guy who they said could help me. Which turned out to be a complete all day runaround. I then did a Google search for a locksmith and found Key's Locksmith. When I called, the owner (Nir) he said he was closing soon, but would wait for me. When I arrived at Key's Locksmith near closing time the owner Nir, took the time to cut the key and program the two remote clickers without rushing along with doing an excellent job. Ok so this place sucks. The guy thought he was all clever and said there was access under this part of my door handle for when your key fob dies or whatever. Well, it's not under there. It's completely under the handle. No panel. He scratched my paint. Broke a pin that holds the piece in place - which he claimed there was a missing screw. I called dealer - it's a pin no screw - that he broke. No screw. He blamed someone else. It is no longer flush and will not sit properly. He was arrogant and damaged my car and would NOT take responsibility. Avoid this place like the plague people. read more

This place is absolutely amazing. Nir - the owner of the shop - is so kind and patient. I had an issue with two fobs for my cars; I tried replacing the batteries for both, and they stopped working. My car dealership told me it'd cost $1k to replace/reprogram each fob. However, Nir fixed both fobs in 5 minutes and saved me a LOT of money. Very reasonably priced, very efficient, very straightforward, and very friendly. If you ever have any issues with your car fob, I cannot recommend Key's Locksmith more highly. If i had the choice to rate this place 0 stars i would. I came in to get a spare car key cut, and everything was going well until it came down to testing the actual key on the car. He proceeded to put the key into the ignition in which it would not turn and turned 1x after 15 min of the dude sitting in my car trying and trying to get the key to turn in the ignition..... anyway he continued to go on about "how cheap" my key was and blaming the fit, on the key i bought.. which if im being honest was not cheap lol whats funny was he wanted me to pay for a service that came with no functionality and ontop of that have to buy a new key once more to take to someone else... After going back and forth with him and him wanting to keep my key or me pay him to get it back. He resulted in me giving him "whatever i felt like $" and later switching up and telling me to just leave a good review on his business and "we'll be good". I would not be surprised if half of these reviews if not all, are fake. As a business owner myself im not fond of leaving negative reviews causing harm to businesses but that spoke measures. No acknowledgement. No Urgency to want to make things right. I just honestly wouldnt take my business here. read more

I wish that they follow through with being open the hours that they say. I understand hours of operation being listed incorrectly, but I called last Sunday and spoke with somebody on the phone and they told me that they would be there Saturday. I came today about 10 minutes ago and nobody was there. There was a sign saying they would be gone for the long weekend.it is very unfortunate. Taking time out of the day to try to get something done after speaking with a representative who specifies that they will be open on a specific day and fails to inform you that they will be closing. Unfortunately, just have to take my business somewhere else. If you are reading this, I would avoid going over there during any listed hours because it is hard to catch them open. I had four keys copied here (a set for a new tenant, mailbox, 2 front door and garage). Not only did the guy charge twice as much as most places but three of the four keys didn't work. One key was obvious enough for me to point it out, the guy said try it, if it doesn't work bring it back. The smallest difference in a copied key can prevent it from working,. With a difference as obvious as this there is zero chance the key will work. Rather than argue, and drive back, I figured I would just use my time to leave this review and get my money back that way (probably much more actually, happy to warn others about you). Of course the key didn't work when I tried it, the pattern on the new key was about a quarter of inch off compared to the original. Another key was made on blank that was similar but the grooves on the sides of the new key were different then original, so the new key didn't even fit in the lock. The third key was a mailbox key that didn't work either. Surprisingly the fourth key worked somehow. Beware. read more

Great guys and totally upfront and honest. Told me it would cost $20 to rekey my deadbolt and that's what it cost. Nir didn't try to upsell me or do any kind of switch. Finally found a locksmith that could restore my key fobs to be used for my truck. Excellent service; tested product after his service (at his request), and both worked perfectly. Customer service excellent. Knows his trade. After analyzing, gave me price for two, but was honest that if they did not work I would still need to pay the fee for the computerized re-set. Gave the go ahead, and only after realized the full value of having a working fob. Also had two small keys made (which he comped), and will need to come back with my car to have that fob put into working order. read more
