First, this place needs some signs. It was difficult to find, even after we parked we wondered around the parking lot looking for the place. We ended up in the pilot shop for directions. Please get some good permanent signs. Second, I've lived in Nashua for years and just found out about this place from a neighbor who heard about it from another neighbor. Word of mouth advertising is working, but if you want to make more money, and who doesn't, you should advertise your business. Now onto the food, very good, lots of food and priced as expected. Our server Chris was excellent. Well mannered, conversational, and efficient, a nice surprise since many servers in Nashua are less then friendly. All in all a good brunch. read more

We live in Nashua and have been here a few times. It's fun to bring the kids to watch the planes. The food isn't great but that is not what I am giving a poor review for. The owner or manager is fine to her customers but is extremely rude to her staff. She micro- manages everyone about everything and does it loud and publicly as to demean them in front of the customers. They all look like they are in an abusive relationship. I am not sure I would return here again because my husband and I could not enjoy our breakfast while watching this go on. read more

This is by far the quickest, best tasting and value breakfast diner in the area. We go once a week and always have left overs due to the amount of food. For 9.99 three full toasts, three eggs, three sausage links, home fries and three pancakes. Great place can't recommend more. read more

We've lived in the Broad Acres neighborhood in Nashua for about a year now, and the Midfield Cafe is about two minutes away from our house. We finally decided to give it a go this morning after a strong recommendation from my aunt and uncle. I will say that it's not easy to find--as other reviewers here have mentioned--but once you do, you'll be glad you did. The food is nothing short of outstanding. My steak tips and eggs were cooked perfectly, and good medium-rare steak is hard to achieve outside of a good steakhouse. My fiance's sausage Benedict was delicious as well--he ate the whole thing, save for a few homefries because he was so full. I'd give this place a 5 out of 5 if they offered a real maple syrup option on their menu (even if it costs $1-2 extra)--not having that deterred me from ordering pancakes, as I will not eat the fake stuff. If it is on the menu and I missed it, I'll gladly change my review. :) read more

The two stars is for the location. Being able to watch planes take off with my four year old son is quite special. That's where the positive ends. The food is horrible. Everything tastes like dishwater, as mentioned by a previous yelper. Or lemon juice? I really don't know. And paying over $40 for weird tasting food is unacceptable. Never again. read more

We actually never had the opportunity to be seated and try the food. We waited for 45 minutes to be seated. We were lined up in the hallway waiting to be seated and with no AC, it was stifling. As we approached the entrance to the restaurant we saw two tables that were waiting to be bussed for what seemed like an unreasonable length of time considering the number of people waiting to be seated. There was a table of four that had been seated for a while and one of the bus persons asked if someone had taken their order, to which they said "yes". He told them he would check on their order. As we waited for another 15+ minutes, no food had been delivered to their table, nor had any waitstaff come over and talked to them. There was another couple in line in front of us that requested outside seating. When my wife and I finally were asked to be seated, we also requested outside seating. The person seating us rolled his eyes when we said we wanted outside seating also. Instead of offering the table to the next patrons in line behind us, he just walked away! At that point, even after waiting over an hour, we decided to leave, It was Father's Day so perhaps they didn't expect the volume of people and did not staff properly in anticipation of the number of diners for the morning. We will try again on another Sunday for breakfast and I will follow up my review once we actually have an opportunity to try the food. read more

My family and I have been here many times. Always a good meal (under current management!) Waitstaff are attentive and nice, specials are creative and interesting, and the atmosphere and scenery is always very interesting. It will continue to be one if our "usuals". read more

I love this place, its hard to find if you don't know where to look, but it still gets busy depending on the time of day. The food is very good and large portions, I have yet to finish my meal. The service is also good when they aren't slammed. When it gets busy the service tends to be lacking. The upside when the service is slow because its busy, is that you can watch the planes landing and taking off so it distracts you from waiting a bit longer for your food. This is my favorite breakfast place in Nashua, but it's a small place so I have to time it just right so not to hit it at the peak busy time. Highly recommend read more

Lemme sum up: Cool view, very good food, and good service My impression is, if you're a pilot in the area, you already know about the Midfield...so expect to be seated next to a table talking about how the latest Rotax engine performs and "There I was..." stories while you enjoy your meal. The decor has some cool pix contributed from local pilots. There is some outdoor seating on a deck area but I think there are only 5 tables. Food is very good. I had the Rob burger which was a bacon and cheese: big, juicy, and delish! It came with a choice of sides and I was happy that they offered fruit salad as one of the choices. My friend had the special which was a mixed salad plate. It came with a portion of ham, egg, and tuna salad over greens. Wow! Huge portion and worth the $8. The place is casual and laid back. "Order up!" alerts everyone that someone's food is ready. There seem to be a lot of regulars who greet each other and pull up the next available chair or catch up with the staff. It's like "Cheers!" on wings. The day was nice so there were plenty of planes and helicopters moving around on the airfield. This pleased the kids that were there; faces and hands pressed to the large single paned windows that faced the runway. If you have kids that love planes, you need to take them to the Midfield. Word of warning, as we found while trying to settle the bill, THEY ARE A CASH ONLY BUSINESS. Bring green or a check. Debit cards need not apply. My boyfriend and I decided to give this place a try one Saturday morning, forgoing our usual breakfast haunts. My boyfriend ordered eggs benedict (which came out with a heaping mass of potatoes) and he quite enjoyed it. I on the other hand ordered a standard breakfast of two eggs, bacon, and toast. I decided to be "good" and get the fruit cup as a side instead of potatoes. The fruit cup was pretty laughable- one blackberry, one sliver of banana, 1/6 of a strawberry, and one bite size piece each of watermelon, cantaloupe, and melon. Seeing the mass of potatoes on the other plate, I figured the fruit cup would be a pretty sizable portion as well. The rest of my breakfast was just "eh" alright- nothing to write home about. It also wasn't clear who our waitress was because it seemed as employees showed up to work that morning, each one of them came to our table and asked how everything was, did we need anything, etc-to the point that it was kinda annoying. Although, through all that, I was asked for a coffee refill only once- bummer. I don't think I would make this place a destination for breakfast, but it does have a cool location. Getting there was an adventure, travelling along the airport runways and airplance hangars, seeing all the different planes, even having a chance to see baby geese along the way. The decor was airplane/airport related- obviously! But it was cool to look at the old photos and memorabilia and see tiny planes taking off while I polished off my pitiful fruit cup. I think they serve lunch also- maybe I'll give this place a second chance and get lunch instead. read more

We've been with different sets of family members over the years & each time, the Midfield Cafe was great. Orders were always accurate & the coffee refills were timely. This time, we took the little one, hoping that there were high chairs. Not only were there high chairs, but this place was super kid friendly. Crayons, little aviation-cartoon guys to color on & they had whole milk (a rarity). My omelet was perfectly done and 'delicious' was said a number of times relating to pancakes and breakfast sandwiches. Reviving this place as a close-to-home breakfast joint will make it a more frequent occurrence. read more

Found this on yelp and it seemed interesting. We had great weather so we sat outside watching the planes take off, good choice. I had the very berry pancake. It overlapped the plate. We loved it. Nice people, great food, what more can you ask for. Yes, it was difficult to find but all that was needed was to see where all the cars were parked. So glad we took the trip. Went there for breakfast today and ordered corned beef hash Benedict and loaded hash browns with bacon, onions and cheese and it was amazing! Really yummy. We got the French Toast sampler, and I cannot decide which was my favorite type out of the four. The croissant and banana bread were both delicious. Wow. Also got the pastrami and bacon Benedict. There was a ton of pastrami, and it was so tasty. Not much bacon on it, but the pastrami made up for it. The food came fast and the service was good. We got seated eventually and the food was greasy...some foods are just normally greasy...but an omelet shouldn't be. It was almost like they don't clean the grills. On the airport diner tour (Sanford ME, Lawrence MA, for example) the Midfield is at the top. It can be a little difficult to find, unless you fly in. (Look for the large hangar just past the control tower and follow the path under the awning). If you are coming with a large party, I suggest you call ahead. In good weather the porch is open which allows for more tables. There can be a line on weekends for breakfast. All-in-all, great food, great service. One of the best places in town. read more

I wish I could give this place zero stars. Just left Midfield cafe and will never go back! Called ahead to confirm they were open until 2 and when we got there 30 min before closing, plenty of time for breakfast, the chairs were on the tables and the manager was barking orders at the staff for closing. If I was the staff being treated that way, I'd quit! Everyone was so rude, food was so-so, and service was terrible. Don't waste your time. read more
