I always go to Midas for all of my car service needs ever since my first experience at Midas in San Diego. Today I had exceptionally good service. Came in for a routine oil change. Picked up my car a couple hours later and noticed there were dirt/grease foot prints on my clean cream colored carpet on the driver side. This was a little upsetting, so I let Luis know of the issue and he did not hesitate to take care of the issue for me. Within minutes I had my car ready to go and my paper work in hand. On top of the great service and attention to detail, Luis comped my oil change to apologize for the delay. This went above and beyond my expectations. I bought a groupon for oil change and tire rotation.... I guess I got what I paid for. I had to make an appointment and I was there about 10 minutes early. There was no one else in the waiting room except me, and they still took 25 minutes after my scheduled appointment time to take my car back. There was a keurig, but no cups and a little fridge that said complimentary waters, but no water bottles actually in the fridge. When I got my car back the light for low tire pressure was on so I went back inside to ask why they didn't check the air in my tires. The guy working there said, "oh ya I forgot to tell you about that and we don't have nitrogen here so try discount tire." Very disappointed. Won't return. read more

Jacob followed me out the door as I was leaving to think about setting an appointment for a very expensive job that needed to be done to simply change my head light bulb. Prius headlights are behind the bumper so you have to take the bumper off to get to the light bulb. This was the 2nd place that told me this so I really wasn't be played just to get $$ to do it. But Jacob asked if he could give it a try without the surgery and he squeezed his hand down around the headlight, pulled out the broken bulb and replaced it in about 10 minutes total. The first guy I spoke to when I went in right when they opened was quite rude when he found out I had a groupon. I had to make an appointment and come back. The second guy was very nice. I was told 45 min to and hour. 20 minutes later my car was pulled back to the front but I waited for 30 more minutes to be told it was ready. It wasn't because they were busy either. They then tried to sell me other things such as alignment. It was ridiculous I waited that long. When I got.in my car the AC was on full blast and I always turn it off before getting out and the radio was on a different station and blasting. Someone enjoyed my vehicle. Being the daughter of a mechanic I was skeptical to let anyone else work on my car. I've heard many horror stories about shops being dishonest. I've lived in Arizona for a year now and have two older vehicles so this Midas location has gotten to know me pretty well. I waited in their waiting room once but found it dark and dirty so I do not suggest it. Luckily I live close by so I just drop my cars off now. As far as work goes they are pretty cheap in most instances and have done a fine job. My only complains have been them suggesting more work be done than is actually required. I understand that making these suggestions is how a business makes a profit but they should be more upfront about the urgency/importance of an issue. Not everyone has a mechanic dad to call. read more

I came into MIDAS behind a lady who was visibly irritated before walking into the store. Unfortunately she decided to take it out on James who was at the front counter. She was trying to get an oil change with the wrong type of oil because she bought a coupon for the wrong type. James wouldn't do the service on the car because it was against company policy and because it wouldn't have been good for her car. He was trying to be informative to her and even gave her the benefit of the doubt by looking up her car and showing her the results, the lady continued to be rude and James kept his composure and handled the situation very professionally. I don't really care to put reviews on the internet, but I want to make sure that this guy gets credit for being genuine and honest in his work. While they did do the one thing I asked for, an oil change, this store operations is rock bottom. When my oil change was being done I received 5 blurry pictures trying to push me into $3,500 worth of repairs. The bad part is Midas gives your # to finance/loan places. This is my go to mechanic shop, they are always fair and they treat me with respect telling me of other issues I had no idea about. To top it off they even show me the parts they replaced showing the damage and wear of previous parts. They are always honest and will even show you what is wrong with your car. I've read reviews about how they lie and fix things that aren't broken, but from my experience of working automotive I can say that this isn't true everything I have seen has been in the best interest of the coustomer and car before bigger problems occur. read more

After some last minute AC issues Saturday at the end of the day when most places would turn you away for being closed they tested and recharged my AC. Midas continues to do everything extra and keep me bringing my car back for any and all issues. 1st Time was great. Friendly people. Great service. 2nd time i had to return to adjust my alignment cause i got that done during the 1st visit. One of the employees took my car for a drive. They said everything's good to go. Finally got home & noticed how dirty my was car. I literally just went through the car wash before showing up @ Midas. The proof is in the pictures. Dirty finger prints on my doors inside and out. He didn't use the paper mat they're suppose to use so my mat was dirty with foot prints. He seemed to have use my car for his personal usage. He was suppose to test drive my car ONLY but the dude decided to turn on the front windshield wipers & water so had water spots on my front windshield. Why would you turn that on when you were suppose to only test drive my car for the alignment issue? For some odd reason, there was this oil or drink spill on the back of my passenger side. I live a lone, no kids, i don't ever have anyone in my passenger side. I don't drink sodas. It was like where the heck did ALL this mess come from?! read more

My mom scheduled some work on her 2014 Altima at this Midas and was quoted around $600 - when we dropped her car off, I asked the manager Bill who had been helping us out if he could take care of a few things on my older Sentra. Not only did he agree to do mine immediately following hers, but he had both done within six hours. When we went to switch out cars, he explained to us that he had quoted the work on my moms Altima incorrectly, that it had been priced out for my 2003 Sentra and the difference was about $700. Bill graciously honored the original rate he initially gave my mother and quite honestly, neither of us have ever had a better experience at an auto shop. I was told I had a blown head gasket estimated at $1700.00. I ran out! Went and got 2 estimates from other places and was told there is NOTHING wrong with my car. I've gone here to get oil changes for about one year now. I go here regularly because I started one year ago and continued to maintain consistency but every time I go for an oil change, I receive a phone call telling me I need 10 more things fixed with my car. Every time I drop it off, I'm told it will take 30 minutes and it takes 2 hours. Every time I go for an oil change that should cost $60, I leave paying at least $200. The last time I went, I was told I needed a fuel injection replaced, after I had just gotten it replaced two weeks prior. I went to Sun Devil Auto on McDowell for an oil change recently and left with great customer service, car service, and no upsells. read more

I have been to this location twice in the last two weeks. The first time I wasn't impressed and thought for future car needs I would be sending my business elsewhere. After my first time, James, the store manager called me to talk to me about what was going on. He was legitimately concerned and wanted to make everything right. I was highly impressed by the integrity that James showed, so I decided to go back and I am SO GLAD I did! My second time was much better than the first. Everything was taken care of and James made sure I was happy. Customer service is a lost art nowadays, but this location proved they really want to make people happy while taking care of their vehicle needs. Stopped in to get a brake inspection. I wasn't in a rush to get them done because my mother was visiting from Illinois so we had plans for the evening. He insisted that they could get them done in no more than an hour so I agreed he could go through with replacing my brake pads and rotors. Called an hour and a half later after hearing nothing from him. Richie was kind enough to let us know that the parts were on the way, apologizing for the inconvenience. What's with this Groupon deal?? Bought a Groupon to help maybe replace the break pads for $75.00. Thinking wow I'm getting a good deal! Go in drop off my car. They called to tell me that the brakes pads were almost worn out and need replacement. I was like okay, hoping the Groupon would cover maybe the front. After all was done total came to $330.00 for new pads so out of pocket $405.00. I'm giving this a 3 stars because I don't think the Groupon deal is even a deal! I purchased a Groupon for an oil change and arrived at opening which at this point a gentleman rudely and sarcastically told me if I had read my Groupon all I could have read that I needed a appointment I took with a grain of salt and apologized everybody has a bad day and proceeded to make an appointment. I arrived 10 min early to my appointment at opening hours and we another 20 minutes for someone to arrive. That is 20 min after the hour stated they would open per the sign on the door and the time I made my appointment. I arrived at the time they stated my car would be ready and the gentleman proceeded to scare me about how bad my brakes where and how bad my car alignment was. He stated to me that my brakes were metal to metal to the point that how extremely bad it was that if I left without getting it fixed I could be in a bad accident. I took it down the road and had my brakes check and they told me my brakes were not metal to metal I still had months till it got to this point . I will let all my friends and family about the service I received and the professionalism of the whole situation. I will also let Groupon about my experience. Please ladies don't come here I don't usually write bad reviews and businesses but at some point you need to let other people now so you don't experience the same things I did.
