Let me start this review by saying that I DO NOT DO YELP REVIEWS EVER. I check Yelp constantly to see reviews but I never submit them myself. But Midas and Fadi, absolutely deserve it. My boyfriend and I are absolutely blown away with how amazing the service is here. Last week, the engine light came on in our Mercedes. Right after the light turned on, the vehicle was not driving well and it felt unsafe to drive. I went to Firestone first because I am unfamiliar with auto shops in the area. They were horrible and an absolute waste of time. I did a Google search of auto shops nearby and Midas was the closest one. It was late in the day and close to closing time but I called anyways. Despite it being close to closing time, Fadi told me to come in so he could test the car but told me ahead of time he would not have German parts in until the following morning. When I showed up to Midas, the check engine light was no longer on but the car was still driving poorly. Fadi barely had to look at the vehicle to know exactly what was wrong with it, which turned out to be an engine misfire and we needed parts replaced. Fadi ordered the parts that night and had them in the following morning. My boyfriend brought in the car and Fadi and his crew had it fixed up in no time for a cheaper price than any other auto shop would have been. The car has been driving perfectly ever since and we have had no issues with it. This week, our 4Runner decided to have battery issues and who knows what else. Because when it rains, it pours. It would need a jump start every time I went to start it and it would jerk forward as we were driving. Again, it is late in the day because of my work schedule and Fadi said for me to bring it in. When I got to the shop, Fadi remembered my name, my boyfriend's name who brought in the Mercedes, and asked how the Mercedes was doing. Which as I said before, it runs perfectly now. Fadi and his crew did a quick check on the 4Runner. Turns out the battery just came loose and was not connecting properly. They secured it, changed a cable, and it is good as new and drives perfectly yet again. FREE OF CHARGE. I cannot rave enough about Fadi and his crew enough. He is so personable and you can tell he really cares about helping his customers, not financially burdening them. He is incredibly knowledgeable and I really believe he can fix anything. I will forever be a customer of Fadi. If you need any help with your vehicle, his shop is where you NEED to go. Thank you Fadi, the crew, and Midas. You guys are amazing!!! read more

It was veteran's day weekend and it was impossible getting my flat taken care of because all the tire shops had an extremely long wait due to a Veterans Day sale. Luckily, I went to Midas and they were able to help me and get my tire repaired in less than an hour. I am so grateful for the help that I received there along with the excellent customer service. The GM Fadi was very polite and welcoming. If it wasn't for the help of Midas Poway, I probably would have needed to get my car towed. read more

About two weeks ago I took my car there in poway for brakes inspection They said my brakes are all good. Today 10/23/21 my personal mechanic said my front brakes are only 10% . He showed me and it's true. I can not believe Midas will do such things like that. It's me and my family use this vehicle. I will not trust Midas and I advise get your personal mechanic. Be careful and be safe. Watch out for Midas people in Poway. They will lie to you for your money. No star. read more

My boyfriend took his car once while our regular car guy was out of town, he did a good job but kind of pricey. Went here again cause it was super close to my work, have a few lights on my dash and needed an oil change. The guy wanted to charge me almost $2000 for the oil change and he said my lights were on due to my spark plugs and he said the ignition coil was bad. We decided to just do the oil change and take the car somewhere else but Midas wanted to charge us $300 for a consult fee. We ended up taking it to a family friend's shop and he said yes the spark plus need to be either cleaned or replaced but that's because my car had an oil leak and spilled oil all over everything. Midas never told us about the oil leak and the family friend told us that there is no way they accidently didn't see the oil leak, it was purposely left out of the conversation so that it would keep leaking oil and I would need to bring it back in. Never going back to Midas even though they were fast with the oil change and conveniently located. Still waiting on a call back to try to get the consult fee back as well. read more

Mr. Fadi, who is the boss of the place, is by far overall the kindest, caring, and genuine human being overall. Myself and my whole family included have been coming to this Midas in Poway for as long as I can remember. My dad would sometimes take me with him anytime he needed to get something with his car done and I just remember being happy to be there because of the environment and such welcoming energy that Fadi always provides, regardless of who his customers are. I went in just yesterday to get an oil change on my car and I had called in advance to see if I could come in and Fadi was able to let me come in that same day within an hour after I called. He accommodated to everyone's requests and does every single thing he can just to make sure I am happy with every visit I make. Not only does he value his customers, but he also cares about the service that is done on each car as well. His employees are all very kind as well and they make sure to do everything Fadi asks of them without any questions asked. You can tell that he cares about everyone from the second you step into his shop. He gives you a warm smile that welcomes you in and lets you know that you will be taken care of. I brought my car in for "non obligated free break inspection" which he made it clear on the phone and once I was in the store . Upon the inspection the mechanic let me know I needed new tires and that they were really bad (which I knew and had already purchased them) I let the mechanic know and he offered to atleast put the spare as I wanted to atleast get my tires and do the whole job together. How the mechanic was so nice my boyfriend was saying how he was going to leave his car for an oil change. But to our surprise when the mechanic went to go tell the owner he yelled " not in my system, not my problem " and gladly brought my car out with a big old smile. If that's how you treat potential customers I really don't want to know what kind of service they really provide. So off we went to search for better service somewhere else ! read more

I went online to make an appointment but wasn't emailed back. When I called to see if my request was approved the manager said he was going to "slap everyone" for not getting back to me. I thought this was hilarious and he apologized and said they would be happy to schedule me. My only issue was a brake light not working. It was apparently such an easy fix on my Kia that the manager (Fadi) didn't even charge me. He told me Happy Holidays and just ask that I come back some day. I said for sure I will. I've gone here for two oil changes and both times I had the best customer service I could have asked for. 1. The first time, I had been rear-ended a few weeks back. During my oil change, without charging me, they fixed/re-aligned my bumper. I didn't even notice until the next day, and when I did, I was SO surprised and impressed. 2. The second time, they found mouse droppings in my cabin and air filters. They helped replace both right on the spot. I only waited a few extra minutes, and everything was done :) Each time, every one was happy -- telling jokes, smiling, and keeping me updated on the process. Great service! read more

I was so untrusting of this place but man I was wrong. Fadi was one of the most interesting and the nicest humans I have ever met. He is not concerned about anything else except your safety. He wants you to come back. He doesn't care about the money, and when something costs a lot he will do EVERYTHING in this power to lower it for you. The manager is a very rude guy-( guy with the full beard), made the mistake of bringing my BMW here for an oil change, He said he is an expert and can do all brand of cars, especially BMW is his expertise, when I got home car was leaking in my garage, brought it back 2nd time said it was fixed, leaked again. These guys stripped my oil pan and tried to say that this is something due to normal wear and tear of the car and the pan being aluminum. Cost to replace a pan on my truck is almost 2 grand. They have fitted it with an oversize bolt which is just a temporary fix. https://community.cartalk.com/t/stripped-oil-pan-bolt-who-is-responsible-me-or-the-mechanic/80142/11 This thread explains a stripped oil pan is only due to negligent mechanics overtorqueing the bolt. If Midas does not cover the cost of a new oil pan I will leave my review as one star. Every mechanic I have talked to about this issue said undoubtably that an auminum oil pan will last the life of an engine if torqued correctly. Im assuming they used an impact gun. Today after my experience at Midas, I would only spend my money with these guys for oil changes or new tires. I left LA fitness rushing to get back to work, and I noticed my back right tire was flat, I stopped by there to get air, to last me for a few days, and this guy named Jack, (maybe Nate, could have been Steve) stop what he was doing to inflate mt tires. When I asked what it would take to patch the tires, he got right on it and had me back on the road to work without skipping a beat. These days you cant find a service like this. read more

GM said it would be 30-45 minutes, I brought my own oil and filter. 90 minutes later, I came back and started pacing....should change the name from SpeeDee Oil Change to SlowAss Oil Change. In this time, I checked out a Big5 and RiteAid, and had lunch at KFC. It's on the tech.....not sure what he was doing, but my truck was in the pit, and drain plug out for 20 minutes before the oil cans were even moved from the floor. The price was right, $20.00.....but time is worth something too, and I had other things to do. 1 star for service, 3 stars for price, and I'm looking for another place to go for an oil change next time. I have used this location exclusively for the last two years for maintenance, and have had varying degrees of satisfying experiences. However, this review is indicative of the overall experience. Kick it up a notch fellas, people are not visiting for your charming personalities. read more

Am super impressed with this service center for their honesty and high professionalism. Brought my Lexus 2004 SC 430 in for ceramic brake replacement. Already had two reports recommending brakes, Foreign Auto Specialists (front brakes 3mm & rear 3mm) from Lexus Dealer (front brakes 3mm & rear 7mm). Aaron, their manager, did a full brake inspection & showed me all the exact measurements - (front brakes 5mm & rear brakes 7mm. He reported that nothing was required & that I had some 15,000 miles or so left on the brakes. Why were others not honest with me?? Think I have found my new best friends for servicing our family autos. Here you get highly experienced staff and honest answers. They are not just out to grab you financially. My truck had a leaky radiator. Tranny fluid was flowing into the radiator. What a mess! Mike, the manager, had me bring the truck in right away. Within a day all repairs were completed, including thorough flushing of the radiator, engine and transmission. I was very satisfied with the cost considering the time spent. Two weeks later, the truck is still running great. I found Mike & his mechanics went 'above and beyond'. They were competent, friendly and very accommodating. Dan Drew and his team are truly wonderful. They consistently treat me and my auto woes with professionalism, courtesy, and know-how. I also feel the pricing and advice to be a cut above other local shops. Finding rat poo and serious chewing evidence in two of my barely off the lot cars has been... crappy beyond words. My engine endured some damage from those late night rat parties under my hood (shudder) but Dan and his team have been fantastic as I battle those buggers. They have cleaned it out, repaired, and sent me in the direction of products to deter. I am so grateful for the support. When I bought tires from Dan... I didn't feel like I was getting pressured by silly sales tactics and fake sales. He gave me a good deal straight out the gate. I've taken both my vehicle and my wife's vehicle around 12 times over the past three years to this location. The management staff is professional and courteous. They've provided honest opinions on the work that needs to be done. The team works quickly no matter how busy it gets. And it's safe to say that they offer some of the best deals imaginable on the parts that they put in. I'm skeptical of mechanics simply because I know nothing about cars and feel this sense that I'm getting ripped off. However, these guys do a great job the first time and give you a fair deal. Even my wife was comfortable going by herself. A lot of women don't feel comfortable going to a mechanic because of the fear of getting ripped off, but she feels completely comfortable going in there because she doesn't feel that way.
