For the next several days I started noticing oil leaking on my garage floor. I took the vehicle to my mechanic who told me Oil Changers did not put the oil cap back on. The staff here is fantastic. While it's not a difficult thing for them to do, I love that they have all my information pulled up pretty much before I turn off my engine. Service has never been unreasonably slow, and the courtesy checks of tires, windows, etc. is always great. They never chat with you so much that you want the conversation to end, but they definitely do not ignore you. These guys were amazing! We got towed here with transmission issues as they were the only place open on a Sunday. Even though they weren't able to fix the issue (we ended up needing a new transmission) they spent almost an hour with us diagnosing and advising us on what to do. They didn't even end up charging us, and wouldn't accept payment. Amazing people! read more

I don't know what has changed in the past year but my last visit I've decided was my last. The crew is different. The work space is like a school hall, banter about other people, other customers, and seemingly no notion that this is unprofessional. Oil was over-filled, got that corrected. Air in tires was too high, was able to fix that myself. But, for a place that does not have too many items on their checklist, perfect should actually be possible. Especially when an overfill, or missing a fluid fill, could cause serious vehicle (or people) harm. I've always heard nightmare stories about the new franchise across the street, so I've never ever considered using them, and won't. But I had 5 years of good experiences here at OC, and it took two bad visits now to decide my peace of mind requires a different place. I hope the manager takes a closer look at the culture developing at this location in the past year. It's caused a strong fan to leave. And the new software with TIPS, when there is no sense of customer service, attention to detail, or professionalism being encouraged, made me think that perhaps the team is not being paid enough, and maybe that is the source because I don't recognize any of the past professional techs. I've done business with Oil Changers for over 10 years now and unfortunately, I have seen the quality of service deteriorate. I am done taking my vehicle here. They have stripped out my airbox screws and have replaced them with drywall screws or other screws laying around. They have stripped out the head of my bleeder screw on my fuel filter housing and have misdiagnosed my manual fuel filter pump on my 2014 Duramax, wasting hours of my time. They replaced my fuel filter, did not fill the filter with diesel before re-securing it, introducing air into my fuel system. They were unsuccessful purging the air from the system. My fuel filter housing/manual pump functions fine, and as much as they don't want to admit it, they were wrong. Unfortunately, I had to drive to Riverside to retrieve a costly $1000 part I didn't need. I returned it the following day. I towed my vehicle to my residence, watched a YouTube video, bled the air out of my fuel system myself, and was able to successfully start my vehicle. At this point, I am just sick of the incompetency, and as much as I don't want to do the work myself, I'm simply going to have to start doing my own oil changes and service on my vehicle. I cannot trust these technicians to do the right thing. My truck is leaking oil, they may have over torqued my oil drain bolt weeks earlier. At the end of the day, these technicians are not mechanics. read more

Horrible customer service today at Ramona location. We have 3 vehicles that we have taken there for years, but after today we will not return as long as the female is still working there. Very rude and condescending. Made my wife feel embarrassed and stupid. She kept telling my wife her car was a 2024 when it's actually a 2020 and that she obviously is not following the manufacturers service recommendations among other things. Went in for a oil change and they forgot to tighten down the rear differential filler plug, didn't put my access panel back on my skid plate. So the rear differential plug ended up falling out and the oil leaked out ruining the rear end. I was nice and let them put a salvaged rear differential back it but it has a noise that I've never heard before now. Let them take it to zoo automation and they were the one to put the salvaged rear differential in on the truck. So before get the truck back after letting them know about the noise they tell me there might be a rusty bearing inside but nothing is wrong with it. The manager said that everything would be looked at before I got it back but when they put it back on the lift because I wanted to make sure the oil plug was tight I found that there was a bolt half way back out from when they couldn't get the access panel off , cause they don't know the difference between a hex wrench and a torque bit. Plus there was a vacuum hoes that was disconnected from the transfer case . Now there playing it off like it's my fault. Don't not go to this place they will ruin your vehicle. read more

Something has changed at oil changers Ramona. It used to be a fair honest and trustworthy service but now it's far from that. Recently purchased a buy 3 get one free package. Seemed to be a good deal at the time. The package itself you pay for upfront and receive a card for 4 oil changes. This last time I went to get an oil change I pulled in told them I had the card they changed the oil and when it was done the up charged me and said I owed $50 more. I went back and forth that I already paid for the oil change and they told me they put in better oil than the card gets. So without my consent they put better oil just to charge me more in the end. They check all fluids for you. One of the workers showed me my trans fluid on the dipstick and said it needs changed. I declined to have it changed and then magically my dipstick tube is now broken. The workers are extremely rude. After I questioned the oil change up charge another employee told the employee talking to me that you need to be more Aggressive with people. Anyway, not the same oil changers that used to provide quality services in the past. Good thing Ramona now has a jiffy lube. read more

The technicians are always courteous and let you know what's going on throughout the oil change which I think is very important so you can see the fresh oil and they will let you know if your air filter is old and needs replacing. I don't enjoy writing bad reviews because I understand things happen. But it is what it is and it's an annoyance...went to the drive through oil change and the wait wasn't that long. However, I paid $90 for an oil change and on the receipt it says they check or fill the fluids including coolant and windshield wiper fluid...I even asked the guy if he had checked the coolant level before leaving because I had seen it was low. Upon getting home, I then saw that the wiper fluid was bone dry and the coolant level was less than minimum level where it had been. I called the number on the receipt to see if I could come back in to get them filled and the number turned out to be the corporate office. So I told them what happened and they said they'd call me back. Haven't heard from them since...so naturally I'm wondering what else they skimped on during my oil change. read more

She was condescending to the young female.and male.employees and kept.raising her voice. After she starting changing my oil and young man showed.up for his job.interview and she.disappeared.for.atleast 10 minutes. After I paid the $110 or.so.for my oil.change she wanted me to.add.a.tip! Sat inside my car as the signs instructed for probably 10 minutes and saw at least 3 employees walk by, none of which acknowledged me or even made eye contact. I'm new in town and was referred to Oil Changers on Main Street to get my oil changed. I got in right away and they did everything while I waited in my car, including topping off fluids.
