This dealership has completely changed my perception of Honda. The customer service is by far the worst I've experienced. It is nearly impossible to get through to a service advisor, and when they promise to call you back, they never do. I've repeatedly been left waiting with no communication or follow-up. I expected much better from Honda, but this experience has made me regret buying a Honda in the first place. I went to this location to see what my options were for trading my Acura RDX. I was introduced to Sebastian S. He was very friendly and seemingly professional. I appreciated that the dealership wasn't busy and although the receptionist did not greet me she did answer questions I had about the popcorn they had available. I love that they have a popcorn machine which kept my daughter occupied while we waited. Sebastian was very honest and upfront with me about my cars value and my option which I truly appreciated. What I did NOT appreciate is him telling me to sit and wait while he left for about 15 to 20 minutes. I had no idea what he was doing but saw my car had been moved then later reappeared. I later saw him return for paper towels and he explained they test drove my car and spilled a drink in the backseat. I was never asked my consent for my car to be driven , he had only asked for my keys to check the mileage. When I returned to my car I noticed the passenger seat of my car had been cut !!! I have seat covers in my car but the passenger seat cover had been lifted. There are visible slices in my car that had NEVER been there prior to me visiting this dealership. I reached out for support in resolving this matter and never heard anything! It's unfortunate and frustrating that a location that seemed to have nice honest staff, would do this and not even attempt to resolve the matter. read more

DO NOT BUY HERE! SOLD ME A DEFECTIVE VEHICLE. Poway Honda is supposed to be a reputable business. I purchased a 2023 Chevrolet Suburban Premier Duramax with 83,927 miles on Tuesday 5/19/26, with $20,000 down cash. Seven days later shortly after driving a little over 100 miles the check engine light populated at 94,142 miles. I have contacted Tyree Jones the Finance Manager who finalized the sale, with zero responses. I reached out to Elizabeth Rodriguez, who sold me the vehicle, and she's just pushing it off on her managers. The following morning I took the vehicle down to my local Chevrolet Service Center to be diagnosed. Per GM the Suburban purchased a week ago needs the following replaced: Second Catalytic converter without filter, gasket, clamp, nuts, seal. Greg a manager I got on the phone on Thursday 5/28/26 was extremely rude didn't offer an apology on the current issue with the vehicle. He stated " You're a consumer in California, you are a liable as soon as you drive off the lot". I asked for the diagnostics report he stated they ran when Poway Honda purchased the vehicle and he said," We'll try and get that over to you, you should have received it at the time of purchase" which I did not and I am still waiting for them to send me that report. I know dealerships often overcharge, but I never imagined that fixing an exhaust system issue could endanger my family. My ordeal began in May when I took our Odyssey to Poway Honda for a P0430 error code. At the time, the catalytic converter was still under Honda's 8-year warranty. The dealership only told me the fuel injectors were fine and performed a software update, without addressing the real cause of the issue. They also claimed the coolant level was low and quoted me several hundred dollars for a refill. Skeptical, I checked the coolant myself at home--it was perfectly fine. Given my past experiences, I wasn't surprised by their actions. Fast forward to November, I returned to Poway Honda for the same error code. This time, they identified a catalytic converter issue, but by then, my vehicle was no longer under warranty. They replaced the converter on December 6, 2025, and I picked up the car on December 8. Four days later, during a family camping trip, we heard a loud noise from underneath the car, just 100 miles after picking it up. The metal protector had come loose! (See attached picture.) The mechanic either used the wrong parts for the three front holes or he didn't fasten them tightly enough. A kind stranger helped us remove the protector completely. This wasn't just unprofessional; it was downright unsafe. We were in a desert area with miles of roads lacking adequate shoulders--mostly narrow, unpaved, and uneven. In such conditions, pulling over upon hearing a loud noise could lead to further damage. The detached protector could act like a shovel, displacing dust and rocks, and potentially damaging the vehicle's undercarriage, leaving us stranded with the vehicle partly on the road due to narrow shoulders. We would have faced a wait of hours, if not overnight, for a tow truck--with no cell reception in the area. We were incredibly lucky. The incident occurred near a small community where we found a safe spot and received help from a local with tools. Had this happened 10 seconds earlier or later, the outcome could have been drastically different. With two kids in the car, I can't imagine what we would have done if we were stuck in the middle of nowhere waiting for help. When I confronted Poway Honda about this, they claimed that plastic clips are Honda standard--something I found hard to believe given the original washer marks and online videos I've seen. They also denied removing the protector, despite the service video clearly showing it was removed. With all this misinformation and shoddy work, my trust in their service is shattered. I'm genuinely worried about letting them service my car again. If you're considering getting service here, do yourself a favor and think twice. Your vehicle's safety--and your peace of mind--are worth it. read more

Arlene was my sales person. She did a nice job. She's still fairly new to the car business about a year into it. I had 20 years in the car business, so I'm not a normal buyer. Ryan the finance manager took care of that part, did a good job, I had my own financing so it wasn't really an issue for me. The whole experience wasn't that bad, but they could've done a lot more to make the Ford F150. I bought more presentable. There was even dirt on the floor of the cab, and dirt and debris in the bed of the pick up. The whole experience wasn't terrible and Arlene was a good sales person, I wasn't buying a new car, but I don't expect a used vehicle to look as dirty and is unkempt as it looked when I got mine delivered at the dealership. Overall, just an average experience. If you wanna buy a car here, ask for Arlene, she'll take good care of you. read more

My wife went in to Poway Honda for an oil change. Please note her 2023 HR-V has 32k miles. A routine inspection showed she had a "hole" in her tire. She was told the tire had to be replaced. And since the wear was low, she needs to replace all 4 tires. A later inspection by a reputable tire place had told her Poway Honda gave her bogus information. She was also given a laundry list of all the other things that had to be done. My wife is not one to be taken advantage of. She left with her car while the repair salesman was trying to apologize. If you are a woman, I strongly suggest you are VERY careful with interactions from this business. We will absolutely be taking our business elsewhere. My wife and daughter went to buy a used car and were told they had to take the add ons. Specifically a warranty or their security system or they can't buy the car. She told the manager Gregory Peek, who was pressing the issue, that is against California law. He was condescending and obnoxious. Of course she walked. Now we have a decision to report this incident to the following agencies. We went to Temecula bought a car . They treated with us with respect and no add ons. As a consumer,I filed a formal complaint with parent company. It appears others have documented this on Yelp. * California DMV Investigations (they regulate auto dealers) * California Attorney General's Office (Consumer Protection) * California Department of Consumer Affairs * Also consider small claims / civil suit under Cal. Civ. Code § 1770 (for deceptive practices) Now you are informed: Legal references; 1. California Car Buyer's Bill of Rights / OAG "Buying & Maintaining a Car" The California Department of Justice's consumer page says: "Dealers must give you an itemized price list for optional 'add-on' items such as service contracts, insurance, anti-theft devices, or other products." Alvaro explained what was needed, told me the pricing and estimated time. Since it was going to need some time, Alvaro arranged a ride for me with TANIA so I didn't have to wait several hours. I appreciate the kindness and thoughtfulness of Alvaro and Tania to make sure that I was able to get the car work completed and be comfortable during the process. The rep blamed it on the system and said "It's nothing to be concerned about". I have always been a Nissan type of person. I have purchased total five cars from Nissan, but it was time for a change so I went to this dealership to purchase a Honda pilot 2025 the original sales person that was supposed to help me ended up, unable to help me so I was assigned to Vincent. We arrived early so we looked around the lot before he arrived and saw the car that we wanted so I took it for a test drive and it drove smooth and I loved it so we ended up going in and signing all the paperwork. Then after that we went to financing Nothing was really offered to us based on warranties and maintenance and things like that we kind of seem kind of rushed and we went back to Vincent. He gave us the keys and taught us have a good day not bothering to show us all the features of our brand new 2025 vehicle so we drove home not knowing what the features were. We should inspect the vehicle prior for signing the paperwork because we noticed a lot of flaws like damage room on the front driver side and the rear passenger side and a flaw on the paint which which bubbled up so we called anger, our original salesman, Gabe he was fantastic. We stated our experience with Vince and he helped us and showing all the options that the vehicle had and they fixed the damage to the rooms but couldn't do much about the bubble because they have to repaint that area on the way home and a rock hit our windshield cracked it so we called Gabe and he stated that we declined the windshield insurance which we were never offered so now we have to go through our insurance to file claim.
