I've been taking my car to a place by where I work. Since the pandemic, I'm not going into the office so took the car in to fix a brake light and Eric and his team found a few other problems. Long story short, driving my car today on the freeway it felt better than it has felt in a long long time. I took my high-performance vehicle here for a routine checkup a few months ago, and since then the car has not driven the same. I also noticed a significant increase in mileage after the visit, which raised concerns for me. When I brought these concerns up to the owner, I personally did not feel the explanations addressed the situation adequately. Because of this experience, I would not feel comfortable returning or recommending this shop to others. This August character charged us 14 thousand dollars for a rebuilt engine that he claimed was new (and he could not come up with the written engine warrantee) but I digress: He ended up damaging the air conditioning & said it wasn't covered in the warrantee but he could repair it for over two thousand dollars (BTW, I had gotten a second opinion and this other mechanic at Ecomax said it was their fault) This August character also wanted to charge me over two thousand dollars to fix the air conditioning on my other car ., saying the A.C. leaked fluid WHEN IT OBVIOUSLY DID NOT LEAK AT ALL!. Luckily, after they refilled the A.C. coolant, I told them to stop working on it and all it needed was a new battery that I purchased somewhere else. NOW, I don't know where this August scheister got all these wonderful reviews but they CAN'T BE LEGIT REVIEWS. It seemed strange to me that I NEVER saw any other clients at this place. There are even not any seats in there where people can sit and wait. AUGUST, YOU ARE A FRAUD AND LIAR. IWIL REPORT YOU TO AAA AND MANY OTHER AGENCIES. WHERE IS MY HARD COPY OF THIS ALLEGED WARRANTEE? Told me it looked fine even though my CV boot had clear signs of grease leaking. Told me that my cooler gasket and antifreeze needed to be removed and replaced in order to do a spark plug job. We have had our now 10 year old Mercedes E-Class serviced at Precision for the last year a half. Like other reviewers mention, Precision isn't the lowest cost repair shop out there. What you're paying for is the confidence that you won't be stuck on the side of the road. A big part of what Precision offers is that a whole car inspection is included when you bring the car in for a routine service such as an oil change. You may not want the bad news that your sway bar needs to be replaced or some other needed service. Having this kind of preventative maintenance done makes sure you will drive safely and with confidence. Included with their quality approach is that they will make good with the work they've performed. We had completed an oil change several months ago. Just recently, I noticed an oil leak with a couple splotches of oil on the driveway. I took it back to Precision. They found that the oil plug part was faulty and needed to be replaced. Given that they'd performed that previous oil change service, the work was done at no charge. Especially being a couple months ago, they could have written me up for just about anything. I was very impressed with the communication with August and Grace about the car inspection they performed on my 2015 Acura. I was happy to know that they had a Honda Acura specialist who could examine my vehicle. I also appreciated all the information prior to working on the car and the report that I received after. The inspection came with photos and descriptions of the problems and what they recommended. They were excellent with staying in touch with me about the services and how much things would cost and how much time it would take to service. I would not recommend. This place is very pricey and because you're in Poway, you pay the price for it. I had an oil pan job that i paid $800 dollars for it. They do provide loaners which is convenient but I think they pass on the cost to the customers with their prices. They are fast and do communicate well while the car is in the shop. Brought my Cadillac CTS-V to Poway's Precision Automotive for a grinding/scraping sound coming from the engine. Eric and his team quickly diagnosed the issue down to an idler pulley and separate tensioner pulley with excessive bearing play. The PPA team quickly sourced the required replacement parts (OEM/OEM equivalent) and repaired my caddy. The 6.2L engine is now running smoothly sounds perfect. My car has had several modifications to boost performance and cooling and these changes made the task more difficult. The PPA handled the repair professionally and with care, explaining the situation and steps they would take during the repair. Over the years they have added value to their business by giving Lyft rides to and from as well as an automated report of your cars visit. Smog Check review only. I found this place when i was looking on line for a decently priced smoke check station in Poway/RB area. I've called around bunch of different shops and couldn't find the deal less then $50 (with certificate). Precision Automotive only charges around $22 (get coupon on their site) for a check and $8 for a certificate, so you pay 30 bucks out the door. Its a very fair price. Also, the technicians were well versed, perhaps even better than the dealership, in understanding of how to deal with my GMC Yukon Denali XL. The staff took their time to examine my vehicle and suggested and made detailed notes along with prices of the issues. This provides me a financila landscape in how to tackle specific items on my truck to keep it running as long and safely as possible. I've asked others to do that, and they refuse, or only make a note of the issue with no estimated price for parts and labor. When I called Precision Automotive to explain this, the employee on the phone was very helpful to give me a couple tricks to try on my own and set an appointment with me if those did not work. Sorry to say that for something beyond brakes/smog/oil change, I was very disappointed. Poor diagnostics for actual problem - was told I needed an engine replacement - found elsewhere that was NOT REQUIRED. Not the same place at all since Brian left. Had a concerning noise in my SUV and brought it in for diagnosis. It sounded like a squealing belt. Was informed that it was coming from "deep in the engine" and that I needed to replace the engine. Was given quotes from between $4,000 and $6,000. Asked what the actual problem was, and was told "we don't know". Seriously? Busy life at the time led me to put any action on this car on hold for some time. Thankfully found a great mobile mechanic recently who - ON MY DRIVEWAY - did a thorough inspection and using his mechanic's stethoscope pinpointed the noise to a leak at the exhaust manifold. Lucky for me, all it needed was to replace the exhaust manifold gasket. How is it that Poway's Accurate Automotive could NOT detect this? Not sure if lack of knowledge or experience or purposeful attempt to take me for a ride... I will not be using nor recommending this shop ever again. read more

My husband's AC wasn't working properly. It would blow air and then shut off. We took it to Firestone off black mountain rd and was told it would cost $700-$1000 just to remove the dashboard to see what's going on. But they wouldn't be able to guarantee they could figure it out. We took it to Precision and they immediately were able to diagnosis my vehicle and fix it! I live near Temecula, but when my car started overheating on my way home from San Diego, it was a blessing that this was the closest mechanic, otherwise I never would have found them.
