So rare to find an honorable repair shop!! Needed new brake pads and they were much less than what the dealer quoted. It's been a few months now and everything works great! They even explained what the noise was and saved me a few hundred saying I didn't need front pads yet. Now, my car broke down this past weekend. AAA guy was a ding dong who misdiagnosed the problem when jumping my car, and local mechanic tried to take advantage of his stupidity, which would have cost me over $1000. Called Phan's and Lai explained everything step by step, totally patient, professional, polite, and trustworthy. By some minor miracle my car started so I drove it directly to their shop after the phone call. David checked out my car and returned it to me saying it only needed a battery. I AM NEVER TAKING MY CAR ANYWHERE ELSE, and you shouldn't either!!!! No bells and whistles, small shop, but competent, quick, friendly, trustworthy! Choose this place over the dealer to save yourself a lot of money!

Quick and easy oil change. I made an appointment day of and they had availability. It was quality service and I highly recommend Phan's Auto Shop. It was around $70 for my Kia K4 which I thought was reasonable. They also have a seating area with WiFi!

Great work on my breaks. Not a cheap shop but the work is great. The reception can be a little friendlier.

I've been coming to Mr Auto since last year and I'm very happy with their service and…read moreattentiveness. I came in for my 2007 Acura MDX. I was having issues where my car wouldn't start or the battery kept dying. Which didn't make sense since I would change for a new battery and it would keep happening. So when I was looking for a body shop to take care of my car, Mr Auto was one of the 3 locations I was looking at. The biggest reason I picked this location was because of the reviews and the response the owner or mechanics had for the customers. For the low star reviews, I liked how the responses to the customers were factually. Most reviews are based on emotion without any backing. So it was interesting to see the owner/ mechanics would bring up conversations, numbers and factual information. That told me they were attentive and knew what they were talking about. So I took my car there, it was a month long process because it was hard to figure out what was going on. It was an unusual situation. After coming back and forth for weeks, they were nice to have me keep my car there without extra charge because some situations happened only when I was driving and they couldn't trigger any of the issues so they thought it would be best to keep it. They only charged me the diagnosis price and finally after a month, we were able to figure out and it was such a simple small thing that cost little to nothing and completely fixed my issue. Since then, I come here for simple oil changes, because I can trust them. I know they take the time and don't rush. Actually during that month long situation, my battery died again and I was able to jump start it, but I had a smog check. Luckily I told the smog check place what happened and they didn't test it because it would fail since the car had to be driven for at least 50-80 miles. So I drove around San Diego and called Mr Auto and they told me to come in and they would double check my car to make sure it was good to go for the Smog check. Another extra step they did for me. It was awesome. They definitely make you feel safe and comfortable.

I'm driving the car and I'm life is on the line. Can't trust them 100%. I mean it is a decent spot, nice guys, and a decent price but the work makes me worry. Maybe those guys works too much and forget about tighten things back up. Sorry for the review but I had to be honest. Hope it gets better.

I called five top-rated local shops, and they were the only ones willing to give me a detailed breakdown and quote over the phone using my existing Nissan diagnostics. They handled a transmission and front drive axle replacement on my 2013 Nissan Rogue, and a transmission fluid drain/refill with both new filters on my 2016 Nissan Rogue. Why they stand out: Excellent Pricing: They beat the dealership dramatically and were cheaper than other independent shops. Amazing Team: Bryce was incredibly helpful, looked into specific fluid requirements (NS-2 vs. NS-3) for me, and honored AAA discounts. Great Environment: The shop is highly organized, energetic, and professional, yet has a welcoming "family" vibe in the evening. Perks: They provided a free shuttle service (shoutout to Jordan!). The cars are driving beautifully so far. Highly recommended!

Why the two stars because what they did for my other cars transmission was great, They went above and beyond. They actually saved our cars's life as it were. Unfortunately, there is no way I would tell anyone to go there outside of transmission issues. Specifically, if your transmission is still under warranty from the dealership for the manufacturer yes bring it here. There previous work was so stellar that I'm still shocked but as true will all. All good things come to an end. Time , greed, no longer looking out for your people and Just like Rome, this place has fallen.. If you're on the fence, keep looking around you will a place. If you have been bringing your car back over and over again it is time to cut bait.

If I could give JJ a million stars, I would. He saved me thousands of dollars for a repair that…read morewasn't even needed. I brought my 2019 ford edge (60,000 miles) to the dealership for the car "hiccuping" when driving at lower speeds and then doing small surges at highway speeds. Dealership said $5300 to repair torque converter or $12,500 for a transmission. I brought my car to JJ for a second opinion. He was very confident that my torque converter and transmission shouldn't be the issue and even if it was, it was not going to cost that high. He was thorough, running my car through diagnostics. Kept me updated at all times. Still not convinced that the dealership was correct. Researched my vehicle regarding my specific issue and saw there was a software update that describes fixing this issue exact issue. I wasn't sure it had been updated before. His mobile software guy came out, checked the car, and discovered the updates weren't done. Updates were installed, car was test driven several times, and transmission fluid was changed. It was 95% improved by the time I took the car home. By a few days of driving it around, the car is 100% better. All issues resolved. All of this was under $900, it wasn't the torque converter or transmission needing replacement AND he saved me thousands of dollars. JJ is now on mine and my family's list of mechanics to go to from now on. He is a straight shooter, is honest and will work to find out what the root of the problem is.

Truly, what more can you ask for in a mechanic. I recommend taking your car there.
