I had scheduled appointments at other Midas on line. When I arived to these appointments I was told that they did not get the appointment on line and could not get me in for my oil change. I needed a sensor looked at so I called Midas on Friday. They set me up for an appointment at 1:00 on Saturday. After over an hour and a half wait, and the car hadn't even been pulled in to the bay, I told them I'd just leave it and they said they'd call me later. No phone call. I call back to check in Sunday and they said the car hasn't been looked at, even though I had an appointment, and they had no one in to look at it so it would be at least until Monday. They lack communication and were seeing walk ins before my scheduled appointment. Extremely disappointed since this is in our neighborhood but we will not be coming back. read more

Midas is grossly overpriced and oftentimes over diagnose. Get a quote printed and then call around for price comparisons. If you do go back to have the job completed at Midas bring in the printed quote, multiple times they have tried to over charge me day of service. For the second time I've gone to Midas, the first being the store at 6th and Kalamath for an oil change and tire rotation. Both times they did not rotate my tires. One tire (my front passenger) is a different brand than the other three. It still remains on the front passenger side, showing that clearly a rotation did not happen. Then you have the nerve to recommend additional services. I think not. I know you think all lay people are gullible and will fall for your lies, but I wasn't born yesterday. Absolutely the worst auto care I've ever received. On the 19th, I went into Midas to see why the check engine light was on. They gave a couple reasons and "fixed" my car for $330. On the 24th, my car died. I had my friend jump it and I chalked it up to a freak occurrence (after all, my car had JUST been looked at). On the 27th, my car died and was towed to Midas. I was given a ridiculous estimate of $1600. Upon hearing this, I decided to have my car towed to a more affordable location. When I called the tow truck, they said I would have to be there for them to come, so I told them to cancel the order. I got a phone call from Midas, asking why a tow truck was there. Tony was the one on the phone. I told him I had no idea why the tow truck was there. When I calmly tried explaining what happened, he aggressively continued talking over me and asking questions as to infer that I was to blame. Between this and the astronomical price, I said I was having my car towed to a better shop. He responded by rudely saying "you can tow it wherever you damn please after you pay for the engine diagnostic." Of course, this floored me. I brought up (again) how I had JUST been to Midas and they did a diagnostic check but they didn't fix the error. He said "tough". When I went in to get my car, he refused to help me. He ignored me and answered the phone instead, clearly just to be rude. I made the point that I was a customer in the shop. I take priority. I've been in sales, I know etiquette. He just ignored me. THEN he handed me the key and paperwork for THE WRONG VEHICLE. This man should not have a job. Tony is hurtful to this business. I will NEVER get work done with Midas EVER again. They are unethical, money-hungry crooks who don't know how to run a business. They have no respect or care for their customers. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. read more

Out $700+ dollars from a simple oil change. Hyaundi supplied video and talk to the store supervisor who now refuses to answer or reach out and delays any questions with the part is being inspected, that was supposed to be done after the holidays in December. Do not go here.... poor customer service and for their mistakes they will make you pay for them and ignore your calls, also say the regional manager will reach out which doesn't happen. I went here a couple times but don't think I'll be back because I found a place that is much more honest and much better pricing. Midas found some things that were indeed wrong with my car but mentioned I needed a brake fluid flush as well amongst other things. This raised a flag since you usually don't need a brake fluid flush unless any impurities get in there in which case you'd probably know by the way your car is acting. I went to another shop that fixed my car for much less and straight up told me nothing else was wrong with it. Midas may have some good mechanics but I think they're just trying to make a pretty penny in the long run. The first time I went in was for an oil change. In the state I used to live in, they would only charge $19.99 so that is the reason I went to this Midas to begin with. After the work they told me it was $45. When I told them I had got it for $20 in the past they said I needed a coupon for that. Since I didn't have one, they were like "Oh, well we could do $25 if that works." Um, YEAH. That's way more preferable than $45! Yet they thought they could get that out of me. Being a woman, I feel these places do not hesitate to take advantage if they realize you don't have much car knowledge. I'm glad I found a place that is much more honest. read more

I couldn't be more grateful for Tony and his team of skilled mechanics. After being told by another shop that they couldn't hear a sound I knew my car was making, these guys took a more in depth look and figured out that my wheel bearing needed replaced. Tony not only broke down the cost, but also the significance of the work that needed to be done. Until now I hadn't found a shop that I went to regularly or felt I could really trust, but I'm really happy that I found that here. We just took our car in for an oil change here because its close to our home. During the oil change, they did their inspection and called my husband and informed him the back brakes were in horrible condition and the rotors needed turning and gave him a quote of $500 to do just the back. My husband turned them down because it sounded so high. After taking it to our usual repair shop, where we were told the front also needed changing, I got all four brakes, the rotors turned and labor for $500. Midas is overpriced and doesn't do all that great of a job. We still are wondering if they changed our oil for sure because they didn't change the sticker on the windshield and we have no proof it got done. Take your car elsewhere. read more

I took my car in to have the brakes replaced over the weekend. When I came to pick up the car I thought everything was fine and drove it home without a problem. However, later that night, on my way to a friend's house the brakes completely stopped working. In a panic, I left the car in a lot overnight until I could figure out the problem in the light of day. The next morning, I looked under the car at the brake line and a wrench was left on the hose! The mechanic not only forgot to tighten the brake line so fluid wouldn't come out, but left the wrench as well. I was very lucky I wasn't driving on the highway. I could have died. Please never go to this shop - ever. I won't be returning to this shop under any circumstance. read more

I had a vehicle that would not start. No turn or clicking. Pulled the battery and had it checked - turned out fine. It was late and about 5 degrees out and had it towed to this Midas location. They were a AAA reference. The tow driver left the key and my contact info in the drop box. I received a call at 7:30am and walked them through everything. They did the diagnosis and determined it was the cable between the battery and starter. I knew it was not in great shape, but they concluded the cold weather may have been a contributor to the separation on the ends. They replaced the cable and tested it again to confirm. $100. All things considered. I am happy with that. This group was very accommodating to my schedule and gave good updates on my voice mail while I was at work. I have done basic work with other Midas shops and have been happy for the most part. read more

The commentary was something to the effect of, "well I guess you let it get to that point, didn't you?" I let the guy know that the comment was offensive to me, and that i would not be utilizing this establishment. I've been a customer here for about 2 years, and I've always loved their service and the mechanics are all super nice. They even put 4 brand new tires on the car for me over the summer, about 7 months ago. I got a flat on one of said new tires this past weekend, so I put the spare on and brought the car in hoping they could repair the tire for me. They couldn't, and, despite the fact that the tires are brand new and have tons of tread left on them, informed me that I need to buy four MORE tires since my car has all wheel drive and all the tires need to have the same height. I know next to nothing about cars or tires, so I did what they said to the tune of $500 (and that was after they tried to sell me $800 tires). My dad looked into it for me - turns out you can buy just one new tire and shave it down to match the other tires. Nobody suggested that I do that, and I was on the phone with them all day letting them know that it seemed impossible to me that I would need to buy FOUR new tires already. I feel cheated, and I'm afraid it was because I'm a young woman. Maybe it was a genuine mistake, or maybe they really thought I needed new tires (although they really do still look new) but I really felt like I was taken advantage of. Honestly, this is my first / probably only review ever, but I didn't know what else to do. The customer service wasn't horrible or anything, in fact they are all super nice and helpful and they seem really genuine, and they even took me into the garage to show me my alignment. I guess I'd go here again for an oil change, but I really needed to be a better advocate for myself and do the research and not rely on what they were telling me. I had a power window motor go on me, and they were able to get me in right away and have it repaired in a few hours. I had a great experience with this Midas on Colorado Blvd when my truck tire had the unfortunate luck of picking up a nail and slowly going flat. Not only was this Midas open on a Sunday, which is great because tire punctures don't take any days off. Kelly at Midas was very courteous and quickly identified where the puncture was as I could not find it myself and had the tire repaired for me quickly. Incompetent doesn't begin to describe this bunch. Brought in my car that died outside. They misdiagnosed it as being a bad battery (it was the alternator- a simple volt meter on the battery would have shown this). Got the car home, it died again. I hooked up my volt meter and easily determined it was the alternator. Called them asking to get my old (perfectly good) battery back, they said it had been thrown away. Refused to refund me for the $160 I spent on the battery and wouldn't even credit it towards replacing the alternator. They were unapologetic and rude in dealing with this. Saturday evening (5:30) I drove into the shop and said there is a tha-woumping noise in my wheel well. Kevin offered to take a look at it Sunday morning...even offered a loaner so that I could be safe driving home. He called the next morning first thing to say that my rear tire was about to come off! He put it back on, tightened the bolts and said come on in when convenient...all NO CHARGE! I just got some new tires that were reasonably priced.
