Expensive, highly disappointing high end food. I was expecting wonderful things from this restaurant and ended up paying a very expensive bill for something really lackluster. The staff is kind of curt and rude. They seem to forget that we the people have needs and values. Food is thrown at you (to your right), and it all goes downhill from there. I ordered the short rib lasagna and it looked and tasted like an Italian yodel. It is also something that tasted like something that is reheated in the microwave, and the look of something one would expect to get on a transatlantic flight to Italy. The whole thing left me angry, but one bad meal should not reflect the overall Boston Italian cuisine experience, which may be the best in the entire country (sorry New York, you have been overthrown). Stick to the North End or Rino's.
Went for the buzz, people had been talking about it. Four of us sit down, we order mussels, gnocchi, lasagna, something else I forget, and focaccia for the table to start. The food is good. I expected my ricotta gnocchi to be as light and fluffy as the server said, it did not blow me away. I expected to really be wowed based on the $25... it did not taste better, have better service or ambience than other spots around the city for less. At these pasta-forward Italian restaurants, I always always order the gnocchi. Nothing wrong with this one, but it seems basic and overhyped. I would not order it again personally. The focaccia (9/10) was covered in cheese which was a very nice touch. It was delicious. I would absolutely order that again. My only note is if we explicitly say "for the table as an appetizer", please dont have it arrive at the same time time as the rest of the food...
Had the best dinner at MIDA South End and I totally get the hype now. The vibe is super cozy but still lively. It's perfect for date night or just catching up over really good food. We started with the arancini and focaccia, both absolutely buried under a mountain of fresh parmesan (no complaints there). The focaccia was buttery and soft with that perfect crispy edge, and the arancini were golden, cheesy, and everything you want in comfort food. For mains, I got the mushroom pappardelle. The noodles were silky and the sauce had that rich, earthy flavor that makes you not want to share. It was LOADED with mushrooms. My boyfriend got the brasato al vino rosso (braised beef), and it was melt-in-your-mouth good. super tender and packed with flavor. Service was great too, friendly, helpful, and they timed everything perfectly. If you haven't been, definitely go. It's one of those places that makes you wish you ordered one more thing just so you could stay longer.
A small, fun Italian spot. We wanted to try a new Italian restaurant and MIDA was recommended to us by a local. The service was excellent as we were only 1 of 4 tables filled at our early time. The food was very good, but in a city full of great Italian, MIDA did not stand out. The short rib lasagna was the standout with a succulent and plentiful amount of beef and a sweet and savory tomato sauce. The chicken was very good as was the amatriciana. The mushroom pappardelle was one note. All-in-all a nice experience that we would not write home about.
Between struggling to find a reservation that wasn't so late and the reviews online, I had high expectations for this place. We were finally able to secure a reservation for a Saturday night at 8:30. We arrived right on time, but the hostess informed us the people who were sitting at the table that was going to be ours was finishing up, but it would be ready soon. During this time, I took the opportunity to look around, and I concluded that it's a cute restaurant that has used every inch of its space quite well; it was packed in there. It was also dim, relying on the windows to bring in most of the light for a tranquil feel. They have a bar area, a couple of long tables, but also high tables for two and booths hugging the windows. After about 10 minutes, we were seated. We did not order any starters so we could satisfy our hunger with the entrée. I went with their rock shrimp carbonara to play it safe, and my friend ordered their paccheri bolognese. The presentation was nice, but after taking my first bite, I was disappointed. It felt like all the flavors were diluted. I am used to eating carbonara that has a thick, flavorful sauce clinging to every surface area of noodle, salty, smoked flavor from the guanciale or pancetta, and cheesiness from the Parmesan. But, the sauce on this was very watery and the pork was prosciutto which wasn't quite as salty. The shrimp was a different take, but I felt it further diluted the flavor since shrimp has a neutral flavor. I had a couple bites of the bolognese. Although I thought it was better than the carbonara, I thought it too lacked a "wow" flavor. It was pretty. standard, but I will say the pasta shape was unique and it worked in keeping the sauce in, and the pasta was cooked perfectly. The prices weren't too bad - somewhere around $25 - $28 (each) for our plates.
Went to dinner at MIDA and the experience was good, but the dish I got was the vegan dairy pasta, and it was okay but the mushroom flavor was so potent that the dish was almost hard to eat, and I love mushrooms. My sister had the gnocchi and it was amazing and my friend got the salmon and it was also good. So we liked the experience but it didn't blow my mind.
I really liked the ambiance here. The music was great and added to the overall vibe but wasn't too loud. Service was overall friendly from the host to the waitress. Overall the food was ok. There were some hits and misses. For instance, the carrots were absolutely amazing and were complimentary due to a mix up while the gnocchi cacio e Pepe was too oily and separated too much. The Caesar salad was delicious but my husband wasn't impressed by the short rib lasagna and said it was cold and lacked flavor. I tasted it and agreed.
Third time's the charm! My first 2 visits to Mida's Eastie location didn't impress (gorg views though), but their South End spot was a winner. While the foccacia was too oily and service was subpar, the eggplant parm, olives, mushroom pasta, burrata, and almond cake were a hit! Great spot for veg options!
I will forever think about this lasagna. You combine 2 things the beauty of short rib and the delicious layers of love with a lasagna. The twist on this classic dish is a match made in heaven, so much so that not only did we get it but it seemed every other table did too. A real crowd pleaser. The server was great he was kind, tended to us without even asking. Restaurant was modern and clean. I will definitely come back and recommend this dish to all my friends. I'm still in disbelief how good it was and how it felt like home
It wasn't just that the food was fabulous, the whole experience was so as well. Amanda our server, saw to our every need. She was informative, funny and helpful from how to avoid allergy issues for one in our party to balancing our appetizer selections with our entree choices. She saw to our needs throughout. Mathew, the assistant manager was also a delight! He made an excellent wine selection that paired well with all our choices and was also very attentive. Everyone seemed happy to be working at Mida. Our food was similarly lovely including the Caesar salad, the burrata, the salmon! (Would love to know how they charred the skin, it was so delicious). I casually mentioned that the beans with the salmon were so good they could be a meal on their own and lovely Amanda brought us the beans to go! The lasagna deserves the raves it gets. A completely delightful experience!
I'm from San Diego and was in Boston for a work conference when I stumbled upon Mida after seeing it on TikTok...and I'm so glad I did! I came in on a Thursday and was thrilled to find out they had a buck-a-shuck oyster deal. I ordered six oysters and the seafood risotto, and both were absolutely amazing. The oysters were fresh and perfectly briny, and the risotto was even better than I could have imagined...creamy, flavorful, and loaded with seafood. You can really taste the difference in seafood quality here compared to back home in San Diego. Also, shoutout to their dirty martinis. strong, perfectly balanced, and chef's kiss I'll definitely be back next time I'm in Boston!

MIDA offers a bustling atmosphere inside with fresh and high quality Italian food. If you're coming here for a date night, it gets loud inside! DRINKS: The Secret Garden was definitely stronger than expected, I was hoping it would have been served on the rocks. It would've been better if it was topped with soda. It was good but I wouldn't get it again The Dante Piccante was way better. It's great if you like spicy margs. Served on the rocks with a perfect balance of spicy, sweet, and salty. 5/5. FOOD: You have to get the Arancini balls. It's a classic Italian dish and MIDA does an exceptional version of them. Creamy, cheesy deliciousness. The Carbonara was great, but could have been better. The pasta is high quality and tastes fresh, what you would expect from a good quality Italian restaurant. It was way more citrusy and less creamy than the carbonara I'm accustomed to. The eggplant parmesan was my favorite! It was crispy, and the san marzano tomatoes are packed with flavor. Expert tip: Get this with a side of Foccacia bread so you can dip it in the tomato sauce. The citrus almond cake was good, but not worth it IMO. I read similar things about their tiramisu. Maybe desserts is an area of improvement for MIDA. The service was fantastic. MIDA is mid, but good bang for your buck and a very cute and cozy space! I've come for dinner and brunch, would come again for dinner if someone wanted decent, slightly modernized Italian food compared to what's in the north end. Service was fast and I appreciated that they asked to course out the dishes so the table wouldn't get too full! Complementary bread - 4/5, slightly toasted on one side, fluffy and thick! Best part was the olive oil, super fragrant and savory! And they gave us a second round of bread to wipe up all the sauces! Arancini - 3.5/5, nicely crispy on the outside, super stretchy cheese on the inside, but a bit bland. The tomato sauce is SO OVERPOWERINGLY ACIDIC Mussels - 4/5, super plump and not over cooked! The roasted tomato pesto and Calabrian chili was a loose soup and didn't flavor the mussels much, yummy though. Glazed duck wings - 3.5/5, the luxardo cherry agro-dulce sauce was complex and fruity, with a mild gaminess, but overall tasted a bit burnt and crusty Crispy polenta - 2/5, the first bite of the corner was wonderfully crispy! But it's a giant bland hunk of polenta inside otherwise. The Gorgonzola scoop is funky n fun but doesn't pair with the polenta itself and you don't really taste the honey or lemon. Polenta was great dipped into the olive oil tg! Rock shrimp carbonara - 3/5, saw this on Instagram a bunch but was disappointed. I will say the shrimp were so bouncy and tender, some of the best I've had! But the pasta seemed over cooked and no longer bouncy. There was a strong bitterness, we think they grated lemon zest into the sauce but went too far into the bitter pith, the little meat bits helped cover this up. Probably wouldn't be able to tell it was supposed to be a carbonara. Short rib lasagna - 3.5/5, this is more like short rib pasta sandwich. I've had it for brunch and it's half the size as the dinner portion. Tasty cheesy top half, but the bottom half with the beef slab doesn't have a strong braised beef flavor. Any beefiness there could be is once again overpowered by the pool of highly acidic tomato sauce! It's so sharp!! Fried chicken sandwich - 2/5, holding the bread felt like holding a brick, somehow it was so stale. They used a lightly coated chicken breast, and so the whole thing felt dry and lacking succulence. Great salad though! Love the breadcrumbs on top for texture! Part of me is still curious about the gnocchi cacio e pepe, but after dining here twice, I don't think it would have lived up to my inflated expectations. read more

We're in town for a few days and this was our favorite meal of the trip! Service was incredible, thank you Rosa! We didn't make reservations but there was readily available seating at the bar and outside patio, we chose the patio. All the dishes were amazing but the Cesar salad and mixed calamari plate were stand outs. Drinks were great too! read more
(more of a 4.5 but rounding up) Support black-owned businesses!!! This restaurant is an iconic restaurant that now has 3 locations. I've actually been to the Newton location already and now I've hit the South End! The ambiance is very classy and chic. Service was a bit messy - we had multiple servers come and take our order. This restaurant has arguably the BESTTTT pesto I've ever had. I'm still in shock. It was packed with flavor, not too salty or oily, and had sweet nuts to balance it out. The burrata that came with it... COME ON. It was so soft and fresh- adding to the experience. On top of that, the garlic bread was beautifully toasted. I couldn't stop eating it. We cleaned the plate. We also got glazed duck wings and arancini as appetizers. The duck wings were definitely sweet and had unique flavor profiles. It could've been so good but it was a bit too fried so it had tough areas. I love the arancini. It was my 3rd time getting it! The marinara sauce is a perfect pair to the crispy, cheesy arancini and the textures of the rice inside are perfectly al dente. Now for the pasta. We got the carbonara because I've never had it at a restaurant. I was disappointed. The pasta was wayyy undercooked and I could still see the white in the noodles. The sauce itself was good but don't know if I would pay money for it again. Mida also offers lots of cocktails! all creative and delish. What stood out was that they offered cocktails as part of the dessert menu! I loved the espresso martini at the end as my dessert. Overall, a a very solid spot for a date night, girls night, or just a treat! If you do go, you MUST GET THE BURRATA PESTO! read more

My husband and I decided to try MIDA for our 15 year wedding anniversary after hearing amazing things about it (we live in East Boston). It exceeded our expectations in every way. Not only did the chef send over a complimentary appetizer, but our waitress comped our dessert and limincello at the end of our meal. Our waitress was so lovely and the food was amazingly delicious (we ordered the clam pie and the bolognese). I would highly recommend MIDA- especially for those "special" occasions. read more

I would definitely recommend this place, I have been to both locations and I recommend both. I did like the feel of the original one better. The service was impecable and the food was even better. I am not sure what they added to the salad but Wow one of the best salads ever. If I had to guess I would think the pasta is all home made if not it's a close runner up. read more

The espresso martini was one of the best I've had and the Secret Garden was super refreshing. The food, however, was disappointing. It was good, but the sauce was bland - I would equate it to an upscale Olive Garden. I was really looking forward to the Short Rib Lasagna. I think it was better than the Paccheri Bolognese, but didn't blow me away. The NORTH SHORE FRITTO MISTO was pretty good, flavorful and a good portion. The Tiramisu was good but not outstanding. I am always down to pay for deliciousness, but felt like the entrees were overpriced without being unique. I would recommend for some drinks and apps, but not my favorite for entrees. read more

This place absolutely did not disappoint We are staying in the Airbnb right next-door and it just looked like a nicer place that most likely served good food. my wife and my cousin ordered a variety of different things from appetizers to main dishes and even dessert We were all blown away consistently everything tasted The server Willian was very, very helpful and recommending dishes, and he did not lead us astray. He was very accommodating, friendly and was really good at his job. I would definitely recommend this place and go back again. Very positive experience. read more

Amazing gnocchi. It was so soft and melts in your mouth. The sauce had great balance, not too oily or heavy. The citrus in it added brightness to the sauce and lifted the entire dish. It left me wanting more gnocchi once I was finished with the dish. I also got the pistachio gelato but that wasn't as great. Tasted more like tub ice cream with some over frozen bits so I was expecting something better. That being said, my friends all enjoyed their dishes and thought everything tasted amazing. Service was top notch. We were seated outside without a reservation since it was a last minute decision to go to MIDA so it got a little chilly when the breeze kicked up but it was fresher than being inside. The waiter took our order without jotting any notes and got everyone's orders correct. I'd definitely recommend people to come here. read more
I thought food was okay; service was not good -- frustrating when you ask for recommendations and the waiter is like, it depends on what you like. Just browse around and order whatever you feel like... Didn't tip the guy much. Lost my appetite. The hostess did recommend us some pretty great dishes. See pictures. Overall, service is horrible. Came here for a birthday dinner! I made a reservation the same day since it was a Saturday evening but probably would have been okay to just do a walk in though it was nice to be seated right away. There's a patio for outdoor eating but it was warm out so opted for indoors. They have a very comprehensive drink menu and our waiter made sure to check if we had any questions periodically as well. They were very accommodating of our dietary restrictions and elaborated on potential sources of cross-contamination which was extremely considerate! They bring out warm bread with olive oil. You can also get a side as an appetizer, so we got the charred cauliflower. The sauce was really flavorful but I wish the cauliflower were a little more cooked. For the entree, we got the gnocchi cacio e Pepe and spaccatelli pesto. The gnocchi was soft and the sauce was bright and peppery. The pesto was actually a tomato pesto but still had a very basil forward taste. The drinks were also delicious. read more

A friend and I decided to catch up after not seeing each other for a long time. We were spoiled by delicious food and our server, Mary. We started with the duck in cherry sauce which was dreamy and possibly the best duck I've ever had. The rock shrimp carbonara was incredible and we loved the special asparagus with hazelnuts. The cherry gelato was so creamy and tart - perfect. I haven't written a review in years on Yelp, but this evening was special. Thanks so much Mida. Two words: MIDA Monday. On Mondays they have a deal where you get 5 pastas and 2 salads for $70. These portions are HUGE so there's a 100% chance you'll end up eating your leftovers for 2 more meals. The pasta is fantastic and honestly that salad is the best I've ever had. I was so full but my heart was so happy and I definitely took my pasta leftovers on a plane back to Texas when I left Boston. read more
I've passed this place so many times and had been wanting to try it for a while now! Was so happy to finally go and support this Black owned business. Even though my friend and I went during a weekday, the prime dinner times were all taken, which was a little surprising, but the later time worked fine for us and I'm glad we were able to get a reservation anyway. The place itself is small, but the atmosphere is very warm and trendy. Service was great, and our waiter was super attentive. He recommended we try the mussels for an appetizer and they were delicious! The sauce they were in was so yummy and made for a great dipping sauce for the bread. My only complaint was that I wish the bread was a little softer, but other than that we really enjoyed this dish. For my entree I got the short rib lasagna which I very much enjoyed and highly recommend. The short rib was so delicious with the red sauce in the lasagna, and it was a very large, thick portion. I was only able to eat half of it, and then I took the rest home! It made for a great lunch the next day! Overall, I really enjoyed myself here and would certainly come back. I visited MIDA this past weekend as part of Dine Out Boston's restaurant week. There was a set three-course menu with a few options for each. The ambiance is classy but not formal. It's a smaller restaurant so when it's busy it can feel a tad cramped and be a little loud. The lighting is dim and moody in a nice way but the big windows facing the street can be distracting with grubhub pickups, Uber drop offs, and other intersection shenanigans. Our server was kind and attentive, though it took a little bit to get our entrees as the kitchen was apparently a little backed up. The meatballs were hands down the best thing we tried. Super flavorful, piping hot and covered in a delicious red sauce. 100% recommended! The whipped lemon ricotta was incredible. It came with focaccia which paired amazingly well, I just wish it came with one or two more pieces. The pistachio mint pesto was so good, I was sad when it was gone! The bucatini all'arrabbiata was good. Pasta was perfectly cooked and the sauce had a little zest to it. The pangratatto crumbs were a little saltier than I like, though. But overall I was happy with this dish. The chocolate budino came with pomegranate gelato and it was marvelously decadent. This dessert was a bit small but loved every bite of it. Overall, I will absolutely be coming back to MIDA to try their usual menu. Great spot for a date night in the South End! read more
Recently got to try MIDA and I definitely enjoyed it. It's hard for me to find a good Italian place that is worth the price because my partner makes delicious pasta at home but MIDA was truly amazing. We had a reservation so was seated immediately and the staff was super nice. The ambiance was very homey but also seemed higher end. Our waiter recommended the mussels to us and they were delicious!! It was cooked very nicely and the sauce complemented the mussels well. The bread was toasted nicely and I loved having it to dip in the remaining sauce. I had the bolognese and it was one of the most unique bolognese dishes I've had. The sauce was super flavorful but not too heavy. I loved that they used the large shell pastas because not only was it boated in the sauce but the shells had sauce inside them making every bite a burst of flavor. The bread crumbs on top gave it a crunch. Overall loved the dish and the portion was a decent size too. My friend got the lasagna and she really enjoyed that as well. The portions were big so she got to take some home! I'll definitely be back again and really recommend you all to give this place a try! read more

I went here for my 21st birthday on 1/19 with a couple friends, and I am incredibly happy with my choice. I got the rock shrimp carbonara, which I honestly expected to be good, but I wasn't expecting it to be so outstanding !! The second I took a bite, it was all I could think about for that moment. The flavors were perfectly balanced and rich, while not feeling too heavy. The pasta was cooked to perfection: a nice al dente. The shrimp were flavorful and perfectly cooked. Everything about the dish was good to the point where I can't possibly think of anything that could have been improved upon. For dessert, I got the tiramisu, which had a wonderfully airy and sweet cream underneath a perfect espresso soaked ladyfinger layer. Paired with an espresso martini, I have to say it was the perfect birthday experience! read more
Great experience with my first visit to MIDA! I am not the biggest fan of Italian food but I've heard amazing things about MIDA from people all around Boston so I decided to give it a shot. First impressions of this location was that it is super cute on the inside. There is warm lighting which makes the place feel super cozy and the tables are placed a good distance from one another so we didn't feel like we were pressed up against other parties. There is a good selection of items on the menu and we ordered their arancini, focaccia, short rib lasagna, gnocchi, and mango sorbet. The food was amazing! My favorites were absolutely the appetizers that we ordered, it was hard not to eat them all as soon as they came out. The short rib lasagna, though pricey, came as a large portion and the short rib was super tender. The sorbet was a great end to the dinner, the mango flavor really came through without being too sweet or too tart. A big shoutout to their non-alcoholic beverage list as well! read more

I only went for cocktails but will definitely be back for food. The service and drinks were absolutely amazing. The bartender was super friendly and attentive; he was fun and went out of his way to take care of our group. The espresso martini was one of the best I've ever had. It was perfectly sweetened with a toasted coconut syrup that I never would have known was in it (there was no coconut taste) but that made it next level. The bartender gave us a little taste of the house-made syrup on the side and it was so yummy. Great spot for cocktails and apps at the bar or for dinner - the food looked amazing. Have wanted to go for Mida for a long time and support this Black-owned business! Tonight, my partner and I ordered the rock shrimp carbonara, paccheri bolognese, and citrus almond cake for dessert - TASTE: 5/5 - everything was lovely. My carbonara was rich, but balanced w the lemon and prosciutto, and the broccoli rabe complemented the bolognese really well. So glad we got the almond cake; the almond flavor was strong and perfectly paired w the sweet fruit topping and hint of olive oil TEXTURE: 5/5 - the complimentary bread, w olive oil at the start of our meal, was soft on the inside w a nice, crunchy crust. Both pastas included pangrattato breadcrumbs, which added great texture, and the pasta itself was al dente. The crème fraiche was light w a touch of sour for the almond cake dessert PRICE: 4/5 - Italian food can get expensive, but we knew this'd be a treat for ourselves SERVING SIZE: 4/5 - the dishes weren't overflowing (I wish!), but the pasta, especially my carbonara, was satisfying SERVICE: 4/5 - usually would make a reservation, but decided to risk coming without one on a whim at 5pm on a Saturday. Although the dinner service starts at 4pm, don't be fooled - the space will be packed from start to close at 11pm, so definitely recommend booking ahead of time. We found space at the bar, and we got our pasta surprisingly fast! ATMOSPHERE: 4/5 - a narrow and tight space that adds to the bustle and charm of Mida. It pains me to say that MIDA was just ... okay... at least for brunch. For years, people have been recommending I check out MIDA. My friend and I decided to get brunch to celebrate my birthday. The restaurant itself is lovely. Warm and inviting interior, awash in natural light from the huge windows that are ideal for people-watching in the South End. In addition, our server was wonderful - very welcoming and efficient. The brunch food, however, was lackluster and quite cold. * MIDA Biscuits: 7/10 - good but not particularly mindblowing or special * Arancini: 6/10 - crisp on the outside, soft on the inside but not particularly punchy with any flavor; the only thing I could really taste was the fontina it was smothered in * Crispy Potato Hash: 7/10 - my main issue with this dish was that the eggs came out very cold and overcooked, akin to a hockey puck; the pork sugo was also a bit too salty and vaguely reminiscent of store-bought Ragu sauce * Gnocchi Cacio E Pepe: 7/10 - like the potato hash, this dish came out incredibly cold to the point where it had essentially congealed into a large squishy mass because of the pecorino cheese; it also seemed like the gnocchi were 90% ricotta Unfortunately, MIDA's brunch fare was, dare I say, a bit of a let-down. All of our food was cold as if it had been left out for a long time, and nothing blew me away. However, the ambiance is pleasant and the service was excellent. Finally, I obviously cannot speak for their dinner menu, which I hope to return to try some day soon, as I remain hopeful that they will have something to wow me!! read more
The ambience of the restaurant is very cozy and nice! Unfortunately, it's not great to sit at the bar in the winter because every time the door opens it's very cold so that's not great. Besides the point it was very nice atmosphere wise, and I enjoyed my drinks, the bartender made me a great drink and the wine after was nice as well. However, the food was just OK. I expected it to be a little bit more flavorful and higher quality. The salad kind of tasted like something that was prepackaged -- it wasn't super thoughtful. The pasta I think was actually made fresh, however, the actual sauce came in was lacking flavor and diversity as well. Maybe could've used something like a protein or mushroom, just for example. The service is decent as well. The people who work there are very nice, and pretty attentive for the most part. They will also let you eat slowly, and take your time, which I really appreciate. read more

Wow is all I can say. We had such a good dining experience here. It was our first day in Boston and we couldn't have picked a better place. Our server, Willian, was amazing, and navigated us to all the great dishes. I don't usually like duck, but they're done with cherry sauce was to die for! I loved it here! read more

I have been to MIDA a couple times now, this location along with the Newton location. Normally I get the paccheri bolognese or the rock shrimp carbonara, with the north shore fruit to misto to start, which is their calamari. This recent visit, I tried the short rib lasagna and arancini. All of the food was solid, per usual... I will say the pasta was a little too al dente and the temperature of the food did not arrive to our table hot but more so warm. Otherwise, the flavors are always spot on and amazing; I just wish the food was more hot. Our server was kind and super helpful. If you are not in the mood for any alcoholic drinks, you can never go wrong with their shirley temple. This location gets pretty packed for dinner time, but the wait for table is never too long. I recommend coming here if you are in the mood for Italian and do not want to go the North End and struggle with finding parking. read more
Great spot! My friend said that this was her favorite Italian spot in Boston and it definitely lives up to the hype! They give you bread that you can dip with garlic infused olive oil which is delicious. We ordered the short rib lasagna and that was amazing. The short rib is super tender and the meal is very filling without being too heavy. The gnocchi was also good but nothing spectacular. read more

It hasn't gotten that cold yet, so I haven't seen any out there

Maybe if you go really early or on a weeknight. Otherwise I'd say it's not really a place for kids.
