    Fried chicken dinner

What a great small cafe / diner HUGE menu stoped in for a early dinner and the place was packed with local and to go orders that's when you know the food is going to be good!! Monica served our drinks quickly and kept checking on us until we were ready and thought out the meal Fried mushroom apps crispy and served with tomato sauce SOD was creamy crab and was hot and yummy Homemade Greek salad dressing and they also sell it in mason jars for you to bring home Cheese burger with lots of wedge fries No soggy buns or fries just the way it should be. Fried chicken dinner with hot beets and mash again all done right This will be our new stop as we are driving through. Many yummy homemade desserts to choose from that are on display

Very lovely. It had a vibe that reminded me of the Midwest. The food was phenomenal but the waitress didn't seem like she cared about us and she seemed unappreciative of us even though we tipped good when she wasn't exactly keeping good eye on us. Still a great place though!

My husband and I just moved to town so we decided to try this place. It's very small town and felt like we were back in time. Not a bad thing though: everyone seemed to know each other and the wait staff were very friendly. It is cash only. I got the farmers hot plate (forgot the actual name) which was home-fries, sautéed mushrooms and onions with sausage gravy and eggs on top. It was a heaping portion and very tasty for only 7.95. My husband got the French toast and they used some of the thickest bread possible. It came with a choice of meat, fried potatoes and eggs. He was very happy with his meal. Between 2 breakfast entrees, coffee and juice, we only spent $20. Will definitely return.

Sausage eggs and cheese omelet. I love black pepper. I added that touch !

Literally Mid Way to know where in particular we stumbled across this out dated country cafe. The staff was friendly enough. Coffee was fresh enough, and the food was good enough. I had the sausage and Swiss omelette with a side of sausage came with home fries and toast. My daughter got the biscuits and gravy. I asked if the house was homemade and I was informed no, so I opted out. Still, everything was good. Service was Quick and efficient and the coffee was good, what more do you want !

Food was delicious, stopped here as Yelp advised it was close to my destination. Had the pancake breakfast with eggs, bacon & sausage. Small quiet mom and pop shop, exactly what I needed! If your are traveling this is well worth the stop.

Ok, I was skeptical walking in here. It's very old school diner look - which you never know how that will work out. However, the food is REALLY good diner food! Big menu, dinner specials that are a great value - comes with entree, salad, soup, coffee and desert. Great prices, great food, and fast, no-nonsense service. A must stop if you are in the area and craving that throw back diner food. YUM!

Food was good, waitress was good, price was good. Quite a bit on the menu for a cafe. Everyone in my group liked our food. Cash only.

My family spent several days at a rental home a mile or so from Gracie's and, naturally, had to…read moregive the local diner a try. Gracie's is an elevated diner experience...all the breakfast and brunch things you could want, but up a couple levels from a classic greasy spoon diner. Not dissing the greasy spoon diner experience...love that...but this is based in that historical experience, with an overall nicer experience in terms of food and atmosphere. Also, before we get into the specifics, here are 2 words which would bring me in from just about anywhere: Donut menu. Yes, they make their own donuts here, and that's enough reason to stop in, take out, or worship at the front door. We got our donuts to go after the meal...The coffee was GREAT. Too often, coffee, which should be the opening star of a diner experience, can be flavorless, browned water. Here it was good. Bold as I needed it to be, and the perfect foundation for the rest of the meal. My next go-to if they have it brunch experience is biscuits. They have them...you can get a biscuit on its own or, heck, go for a mini biscuit basket! I live for a biscuit-forward establishment. The Full Breakfast (submitting biscuit or potatoes for the meat) would have been my choice, but I decided to roll my own and ended up with a biscuit, fruit cup, and side of Hash Browns. The biscuit was good, large, and perfect with butter and honey. They make the hash browns to order - large hash brown patties - and with 2 different orders of them at the table, one was overcooked, too brown, and not impressive...but the other was perfect and delicious...bordering on potato pancake territory in presentation and flavor. Our server was fantastic...we had a large party encompassing 3 different tables in the middle of a Sunday morning (On Easter no less), which is, of course, the busiest time of the week. She was friendly, enthusiastic, and never made us feel rushed. If I found myself in the Hudson Valley again, Gracie's would be a definite destination for me.

Pleasantly surprised by this adorable roadside "diner" type of restaurant Gracie's Luncheonette…read more Very clean, fresh flowers on the tables, views of a huge stream and forest. Service was very friendly. We loved the avocado toast, the burger sliders, the tuna melt and the house made sodas! The food was fresh and you could tell it was made with care. Both tables and bar seating available. Plus they have a nice selection of beer!

This hole in the wall in Valatie sits directly on a creek and Main Street. It needs a better sign…read moreas the entrance is a nondescript multi level building, with an awning. Inside there is a dining area that wraps around bathrooms. On the counters, staff left their empty gum wrappers, staff drink coolers, dirty rags, half eaten sandwiches, empty bottles, refilled Tostitos jars with stinky substances, papers, and cloths etc. At the counter there was a long wait. Regular visitors brought their own food. Several of the service vitrines were cracked. The glass + tableware racks that busboys brought, were very dirty (see pictures, replace them). My meatloaf sandwich - which is a staple that I usually opt for, when there are many items, was filled with carrot and greens; which left a weird taste, that was not meatloafy on my palette! The sides were good, the coffee as well: but the coffee was always empty. The food is middle of the road. Service is slow and lacks a single 'leader' who can keep business humming along. People waited to pay. Cash was left unpaid on the register - people just gave up and walked out. It is very very chaotic. Food is passable, not refined. Coffee refills took a very long time. Chaotic female wait staff, that creates massive dining room problems and backups for diners wanting to pay. Staff make problems not solving them! Review: -4

Onion rings, great. You can't beat their prices on breakfast and their typically large servings. One thing was pretty average is their breakfast gravy. I'm hoping it was an off day as it was a bit bland. For the most part, the service is good.
