    Vegetable omelet

Very small diner that was super busy, with what seemed like mostly regulars. The portions were large and food tasted good. My only complaint is that my omelet was very oily. Potatoes were good, but next time I'd ask for my food prepared with less oil and for my potatoes to be crispier.

Well, this place really turned it around after the fire & remodel. The place looks fantastic and the breakfast was great (trucker special). Thank you for upgrading the neighborhood.

The service was friendly but slow but luckily I wasn't in a hurry, yeah I was killing time. Waitress was new and very accommodating after I at first didn't get a menu right away. Speaking of menu it is very small. They use can hash, which I'm not a fan of when I'm out. I decided on the western omelette which was good. Darn I forgot to add cheese. I also got a side of bacon which was delicious. I had rye bread, very good coffee and it all comes with home fries which were sliced and fried. I prefer the homefries crispy, these were not. Seems like they have regulars which is great. Got talking to someone who sat at the counter who happen to be from my area ( where I live) which how often does that happen, kind of funny!!!!

It's ok. It's old, they're doing their best. The people who love it really love it. Could use an update, I thought for years it was an abandon building. The location is over by Stewart's and smokers choice in fuller road. Surely, you've passed it. I think it's a sight to see. Definitely get in on this action while the pickin's good, you won't forget this one

I wanted to give Inga's another try. A few big things happened at the restaurant since my last review. 1) There was a change in ownership. 2) The new owners got a great review from the TU. http://www.timesunion.com/entertainment/restaurants/onereview.asp?RestaurantID=1651 Now I am not afraid of dirty or dingy restaurants. But the review did specifically mention that the new owners planned to "Spiff up the place a bit." Almost eight months after the review, the place still looks like it is falling apart. The food didn't fare much better. I specifically ordered the omelet, because the reviewer said, it "was one of the better omelets I've had in a long time." But mine wasn't. I was served the "half-moon egg patties here" that the TU reviewer also loathes at other breakfast joints. You can look at my picture above, and the picture from the TU review to see what I am talking about. It may not have been the worst Greek omelet I have had, but clearly my expectations were set way too high. And I don't usually eat eggs, so I was having this as an extra special treat, which made it extra sad that they were disappointing. Also while we were there, we got the one-two punch of glass cleaner smells from a nearby table being spritzed and cigarette smoke coming from some mysterious location. Blech. It's not a 1* place. The waitress was very nice, and coffee refills kept on coming. But with Dewey's diner right next door, I will unlikely ever come back to Inga's.

we would see this place everyday because my husband works across the street and one morning we decided to try it best decision EVER! Super cute classic look inside. My husband and daughter had chocolate chip pancakes while I had the veggie omelet, everything was amazing the home fries were perfect. Ok the prices were eh like 14 for a veggie omelet and toast was crazy but some of their other options were decent. We will be going back!!!

Seasoned to perfection and very tasty! The house salad was ok nothing to report home about! Service and ambiance were great. I would return here for a dinner! Highly recommend.

First, your Brunch menu and food are excellent, when we finally got our food - after roughly an hour of waiting - I was instantly reminded of why Dove and Deer is great - bold flavors, excellent preparation, gorgeous plates all in a city that desperately needs it. Second, I really felt bad for the 3 people responsible for running an entire restaurant on a Sunday (two waiters and one person in the kitchen). They did their absolute best, were so kind and apologetic, but obviously completely stressed out and frazzled. Tables got up and left after waiting for someone to get back to them - and we almost did too. It's unfair to restaurant staff to put the burden of running an entire place on them. I get if someone called off and you're short staffed 1 or 2 people, but did everyone call off? Besides 3 people? Come on. You have a real opportunity to be a go to brunch destination, my advice is to staff appropriately and give it a real go or risk customers not getting to experience the greatness that is your food - and taking their dollars to someplace far more mediocre. The only reason this isn't a 2 star or 1 star review is because of how hard your staff tried, and how good your food is (when it finally shows up).

The Roosevelt Room in Troy was a great experience from start to finish. I was honestly expecting a standalone building, but it is tucked into a strip mall near HVCC. That said, parking was easy and stress free, which is always a plus. This was our first visit as a party of four, and the service was superb. The attention to detail really stood out and was noticed immediately. Our waitress checked in at the right times, kept drinks filled, and made sure everything came out exactly as expected. Meals are made to order, so substitutions were no issue at all, and it was nice to see gluten free options available. When you walk in, you pass through a curtain and are immediately greeted by a coat attendant who takes your coats, which instantly gives the place an upscale feel. The ambiance is well done, with soft lighting and nice background music. It is on the smaller side and dimly lit, but that is clearly intentional. The menus actually light up, which was a unique and thoughtful touch that fits the atmosphere perfectly. We had reservations and were seated right away. It did not seem necessary on this particular evening, but I would definitely recommend them on a weekend given the size of the space. The food itself was excellent. Everything we ordered was very tasty, and the presentation across the board was impressive. Desserts are prepared by a pastry chef and were just as good as the rest of the meal. It is definitely on the pricey side, but that is to be expected for the level of service and atmosphere. This feels like a special occasion type of place, and in that context, it is worth every penny. We really enjoyed our night and would absolutely come back. There was also a sign mentioning live jazz on Fridays, which sounds like a great added touch. Overall, a very strong 5 stars.

This is a lost service in the restaurant industry, but a lovely touch. We were seated in, what can only be described as, a room with phenomenal atmosphere. Low light, but you could see, comfortable seating, amazing art on the walls, and a perfect spot for a romantic dinner. The service was top notch. We were offered water immediately. They have a cocktail menu that included historical cocktails dating back to the 19th Century until present day. The cocktails were perfect. We had pre-ordered a half bottle of champagne. It was very good. We also ordered caviar service. It is 1 ounce with sour cream, egg whites, yolks, and onions. Fresh made Bellinis that were still warm. We enjoyed it immensely. It was a lovely compliment to the champagne. For an appetizer we enjoyed the escargot. We have had escargot in many places, rarely, if ever, was it as good at this was. The garlic butter was on point, the crusty bread was a great addition to the dish. It was served with tiny leaves of Swiss chard. We cannot recommend this enough. We ordered a bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon from their extensive wine list, Stag's Leap. This wine paired perfectly with the filet mignon bordelaise, and the veal chop with cherry peppers. We had a visit with the chef, he was a wonderful representative of this amazing restaurant. We cannot recommend this place enough. It's a little spendy, but worth every penny. Service, 5 stars! Atmosphere, 5 stars! Food, better than 5 stars! We will definitely be back.
