Came back for the hunting season. Seven of us had breakfast and of course Pam took care of us. Five of us came back from breakfast next week and four of us had dinner. Service is great. Complete excellence. My very picky child ate their entire meal (a delicious belgian waffle.) I also really enjoyed my meal (tuna salad on wheat toast, garden salad with blue cheese dressing with an add in of green peppers which was an amazing touch). Will definitely be coming back. read more

Sleek Silver Spoon, is the place to be! I have always enjoyed their eggs, soups, sandwiches, desserts, wraps, salads, omelettes and coffee. They serve heartier lunch/dinner dishes like meatball pasta, steak, macaroni, burgers and breakfast platters. This is Americana-heartland food! The menu is not that large, four pages maybe but the kitchen is very, very, consistent with how they make their dishes. You can come on consecutive days, with different cooks and the plates are i-dentical. They have tiny stations throughout the place for bussing, paying, serving orange juice, and when it gets busy waitresses help each other! One room has 2-4 tops at windows, while the other, larger room has Western style 8+ tops that are round for big groups. This place is a real gem. I know the owners, they are simply wonderful. Very cute local diner. Have almost exclusively came for breakfast but came at lunchtime during this visit. Always prompt seating, even when busy. Everyone you encounter is warm and friendly. Decided to stop here during our drive East to NH after reading reviews, a few miles off the thruway but worth the side trip. We were seated immediately, drink order taken within a minute or two and our food came out quickly thereafter. My husband ordered a ham and cheese omelette with a side of sausage links, I had the turkey club....both were amazing! I took half of the sandwich to go. We ordered several desserts to take with us as it was the holiday. Everyone loved the lemon blueberry cheesecake, Italian cream cake, and cinnamon rolls. Sorry no pics for those because they bagged them directly from the dessert display. We loved it so much on the drive over, we decided to stop on the return trip home. Busier the second time around but still quick to be seated. Service wasn't as quick or efficient as the first time but still food and drinks came out quick. Unfortunately, our server didn't check back to refill drinks and immediately brought the check when she did come back so we didn't order any desserts to bring home. Probably better for our waist lines because the desserts looked amazing! I had the ribeye steak, it was okay, a little overcooked and my husband had the same omelette, it was not as good, different cheese used and home fries came on plate instead of hash browns. Great local diner. Food is totally "diner" ... order things like the cheese fries, omelet, blt, pancakes and you'll be golden! The place could definitely use a spruce inside, the booths cushion padding is almost nonexistent which makes sense since it's been around forever. Maybe time for a baby renovation. We have loved coming to silver spoon for years! It's our go to place when we want to grab breakfast or a quick lunch. My favorite breakfast menu item is either French toast or the Belgian waffle (ask for strawberries & whipped cream). My favorite lunch item is their Buffalo chicken wrap, they make the best ones! The service is always great and you can get in and out quickly. The diner hasn't changed too much since it was the Ravena Diner but you can always count on it being clean and has the classic diner vibe. read more

We visited today for lunch. The service was good, but the waitress forgot our ketchup and A1 Sauce. We had to ask for it twice. Plus very skimpy on napkins which we asked for more and the waitress did accommodate us. Food was warm, not hot. I asked for burger club to be medium well, and it was medium and pink inside. The service and waitress was good. The booth was too tight and the seats appear to be too soft or have broken springs. Waitress was too over bearing asking us every (5) minutes if everything was OK. I felt like she was trying to get us out of there? Last, annoying things was the insect flies. Several times I had to wave away flies trying to land on my meal. When I see flies, most likely will not be back again and will pass it on. If you see fly' your table, can you imagine the fly's in the kitchen where your food is being prepared. read more

Crabby people!! I stopped going there because as soon as a diner opened in town tgat served dinner, these people started to sell dinner after 30 years! i don't like that. As a long time home owner here ( 40) years now, we've tried to get them to open for dinner. They would for no one or no reason. Well, not til another place opened. my kids agreed too and eat at a place locally who have a way better owner who is also local. not someone who doesn't say hello to you even after eating here for the years of them owning it. Got off the highway on the way home and yelped a mom and pop diner. This place is not quite that but a larger type diner. Service was good and appears clean. I was excited about finding it until the food arrived. It was only warm and potatoes fresh but bland. When eating breakfast, I'm sorry hit eggs are better than Luke warm. I was charged for gravy and while it was not a lot, the waitress should of stated it when taking my order For what we got I thought it was over priced.
