So I've been visiting all the 'local' shops, which means a 30+ min drive to cities to San Jose, Livermore, Antioch. and Benicia. It was an early weekday AM drive to Benicia that brought me to RPP Hobby. I had emailed with the new owner, Nick Degnan, a few times; but wanted to check out his shop. As the new owner of RPP, Nick is renovating the new store space. It's definitely a work in progress, but I will keep visiting to ensure Nick and RPP succeed. Nick was very friendly and answered every question I threw at him. I ended up buying some parts for my Traxxas TRX-4; some had to be shipped and the process was painless. Look forward to visiting Nick and RPP again!

They have a nice stock of most MTG packs and ever some fun and more hard to find boxes and items on their shelves. Today, I wanted to return a $31 LiFe hump pack as I decided to go with a 2S LiPo pack for HV servos. The battery was open box, but never charged, never used, essentially brand new except for the tape seal having been cut. The act of opening the box breaks their return policy and my request was rejected. No one told me about this detail in their return policy during my conversations with the parts counter employees or at the register. Needless to say, I'm disappointed enough to write a review. Be cautious with your purchases here.

The atmosphere was open and inviting, and left plenty of room for people to browse. There was a variety of merchandise (key chains, figures, stickers, mystery boxes, and more) from a number of well known and lesser known anime. I purchased a lot of items and felt they were very reasonably priced. The staff were extremely happy and pleasant to be around. This isn't your cheap, rip-off merchandise you see at hobbie and toy stores in the mall. This is quality merchandise, name-brand and brand new.
