I went in to trade in some cards knowing that not all would be taken so I didn't go in expecting too much. But I was given a fair deal for the cards he did take and was given store credit to get the new Stellar Crown ETB. The guy that was there (I assume the owner?) was genuine in his reasoning and had good attitude. I will be going back when I can! Some of the other reviews didn't seem fair and would make some people avoid this store but I do suggest visiting it, they had a good variety of sets and single packs all for good competitive prices. The place is located in a small strip mall next to a Dunkin' Donuts. Good amount of parking available. The store is a nice sized shop, well lit with tables on the left for playing and inventory on the right. Lots of Pokemon stuff and Magic: The Gatheringt singles/inventory. Tablets are available to search up their inventory also. Saw some other card games available, but didn't really take notice since I was there for MTG. Selection is great and the staff was helpful. Big notice: store is well air conditioned and if you're a frequent card shop goer, you know how important that is. Prices are fair for the mtg stuff I was looking for. In my three year span of knowing this shop, It's always gotten better and better, best shop in the East Bay and possibly the Bay Area. I stumbled by this store on the way to get some boba. I walked in to check it out. There were a few tables to the left of the store, a few groups were playing some games. The atmosphere was pretty quiet though, which I know some people appreciate more than the opposite. I was greeted when I went in and wished well when I left. It's mostly cards in here. I didn't think it was much of a selection. Pokémon, one piece, Star Wars. There were some random Funko pops sprinkled about. Otherwise I didn't think this store was anything special. I'll update if I visit again and actually buy something or use the facilities. read more

My brother went into the store and bought a booster box for 80 and he then asked how much the other one is , the employee replied 80 dollars, my brother comes and grabs me we head over they're the next day because the card shop is an hour away so we get there not only is it already 20 dollars extra then retail value he slaps another 20 bucks on it after checking the website so it is now 100 bucks when retail value is 59.99 through 69.99 before it was 80 ,He knew we traveled everywhere around the bay area for three days looking for this booster box for dragon ball world fusions and no one had that product then magically the product is now at a 100 yet yesterday it was 80 when my brother asked? all because a device said so when you told my brother from same said device it was 80? they have a big selection that's about it but they price gauge everything from 10-40 additional bucks I also had to wait 5 minutes while he was in a match (which is fine I understand but 2.5/5 customer services with those prices don't go hand to hand with a successful business and I am not the only one whos had these exact issues apparently. as much as I love card shops places like this make me wish TCG succeeds so these places like this don't exist anymore I also went to Fairfield and spent 1,500 next day on both pokemon and Fusions world so his fault and lost of opportunity. if this is the only card shop in concord I will pray for that city to make it through such harsh times until another one spawns HE IS ALOS NOW REMOVING PROMOS FROM THE BOOSTER DISPLAY BOXES i can not stand this scammer read more

be completely transparent. This store scalps its prices like crazy. I know for a fact that they buy these cards at a fraction of the market price but they'll throw in a few extra dollars on top the market price when they sell it. I'll give an example. At the time of this review, they have a Charizard EX 199/165 from the 151 set for $131.50. Market Price for that card is around $110. I'll give them +1 Star for having a decent inventory, but other than that, you're better off spending money elsewhere. I don't plan on shopping here again. read more

Went here on a random Wednesday, and the place had a wide variety of TCGs. You like to see that in a card shop. There was one person working at that time, and he was very helpful. The inventory seemed rather organized, binders with singles of varied prices ranging from cheaper singles to the more valued and expensive stuff. The place is a bit small, but I can see it holding a decent amount of people for TCG tournaments. Would recommend checking it out if you're in the area! read more

My daughter recently started collecting Pokémon cards and we have been to MVP which is such a mess and unorganized, Black Diamond Games which has a great staff but way overpriced, Games of Concord and jimmy is awesome there but also overpriced. Igor at Phantomich is very helpful and welcoming, he remembered us as we have been two days in a row. He has a great selection and prices are $5-$10 lower for Elite Trainer Boxes, loose packs are $3.99-$6.99, has a ton of limited edition boxes, couple of graded slabs and loose singles. He gave us a charizard playmat and some promo cards after our first visit!!! Also has magic cards, one piece, flesh and blood, Yu-gi-oh, digimon and dragon ball cards.... Bad customer experience here. They have a decent selection of sealed cards but outrageous prices. They also don't list the prices and just look up the price on the internet and add extra on top. Not a good enough selection or service to warrant returning with so many other way better card shops in the area. read more

Went here looking to sell and trade some of my Pokémon cards, only to be handed a business card and treated very curtly when I had asked for assistance with the process. The lady working the counter was very standoffish, and gave the impression she'd rather I leave. So I took the business card and did just that. Bought a card online for in person pick up and was sent a confirmation email. Store was closed the next day when i went to pick up. Employee told me that their system was down and that my confirmation email was only a receipt and not a pick up confirmation. I was annoyed that i drove an hour in traffic and rain just find out that the store closed 3 hours early... 0/5 experience in my opinion. This place is a gem; card stores are becoming more rare and this place is a staple. Inside is clean, ample product to choose from, and the pricing is acceptable. The owner is super helpful and offers fair trade in or cash value. Some of these reviews harp on pricing, which fine that's your opinion, but card shops are predicated on a speculative market so they have to protect themselves, otherwise we wouldn't have card shops at all! Store does scummy practices. Ordered an unopened case of Weiss Schwarz cards from them on tcgplayer, but what I received was an opened case, which they also confirmed. They guaranteed the case was not searched, but after opening all the packs, there was not a single SP. A case of Weiss Schwarz guarantees 2-3 SPs based on the set, so this confirmed that the box was searched. Offered $100 refunds, which is a drop in the bucket for the cost of a full case read more
