My boyfriend and I found this nice little shop when we were in the area and wanted to see what kind of RC Cars this place had. The guy working there Brian was such a great guy to talk to. They talked about the different types of RC cars there was. There are drift cars, monster trucks, buggies, crawlers... the list goes on. We were in there for maybe an hour or so just talking. Brian was such a gem, that 5 years later we go back and have built a wonderful friendship with him, he had become our older brother. Brian is that type of person who will not just sell you an RC car, but he will sell you one that suits you. If you had a car in mind and he does not have it in stock, he is willing to order it and he will make sure he orders you the best one. Brian also fixes RC cars if something is broken or if you have no idea why it isn't working. He will give you a quote before actually fixing it and if the price is good with you, he will start the fixing processes. He is not the type of sell you useless cars, he tries his best to order the best. He does sell more then just RC cars. Just go check him out and see what he has to offer. He also has model cars that you can build. He has a few trains and tracks. He has a lot of paints for the models and other things. Brian is great.

Went to purchase some alginate mold powder. This hobby lobby is about 60 miles from me (a closer…read morehobby lobby's did not have it in stock). An employee guides me to an aisle, this person was helpful, but when I see the bag I was looking for, it looks like the package has been opened already; the top plastic was cut and it looks like the bag wasn't full (1.5lb bag). I ask the employee and he says ya that seems like it was open. I ask if there's a scale around. He says no. So I take the item to the front, and ask 3 other employees if there's a scale, since it looks opened. They say there is no scale available. I ask the person at the cash register, and she points over to another employee who seems like a manager. This employee wasn't wearing a hobby lobby blue uniform shirt. I show the top of the bag to the employee, and she says, that's how it is. I told her I don't think this is right. I need the powder so I purchase it. When I get home I weight the powder and it's only 1.082lbs when it should be 1.5lbs. I don't want to drive back just for a refund, so I was hoping Hobby Lobby can send me a message for a refund. On a Friday afternoon I decided to check out Delta R/C, which on a good day is a 35-40 min drive from Oakland. Expectations were not high as their website seemed outdated, didn't list current info about events, and they had no online storefront. However, I was more than shocked by what I saw when I arrived: Largest brick/mortar store I have found, extensive parts department, indoor track and micro crawler course onsite (more race courses across street at fairgrounds). Staff was friendly, esp. Kristin at the front register. Also, found out about some events next day that I attended (just wish it was on website). I think Delta will become my 'home hobbyshop' but just wish they had an online store so I could peruse their inventory before making the 40+ min drive.
