Well, despite their being unable to solve my issue with an RC car from the late 1980s I was very impressed with the shop and the amazing array of RC vehicles that have evolved since I bought my one and only pair in the late 1980s for my daughter. I revived them but one wheel would not come off so I went to Jake's to see what they could do to get the screw off. The gentleman who's name I don't recall tried his best but to no avail as the screw head was ridiculously tiny so the whole head fell off leaving the screw in place but with no head. At least that allowed me to get the flat tire off and replace it with a new one I had from the 1980s and I'll likely simply glue the plastic wheel retainer in place rather than drilling out the screw. The point of this review? The tried their best to help me and didn't charge me a dime despite having never set foot in the place before. Never once did they try to sell me a new car replacement though they had 100s. But if you want your jaw to drop at the current State of the Art of electric RC vehicles be prepared to be amazed even if you just go to gawk. Thanks Jake's for trying to help me! This place wants to scam you. They have a no return policy even if the product is defective. They act like it is totally fine and will scam you out of your money. They never even mentioned a no refund policy when I purchased it. read more

Purchased a Traxxas Rustler RC from Tim right before Christmas, He is a great salesman and very knowledgeable friendly guy. Love the RC but steering had to be trimmed almost all the way right to get it to go straight. Brought the car in to see if it could be adjusted back to Center, young man I talked to said not to worry about and if I did want it fixed I would have to pay for it, going to live with it for now. No matter who is in the shop when walking in we always get a Hello. Everyone is easy to talk to and knows their stuff. Jake's specializes in all things radio control. Tons of parts, accessories, equipment, controllers and kits for cars, airplanes, racing, drones and every other conceivable rc thing. Including my great grandfathers favorite hobby from the 1940's balsa wood kits. Can't speak for the other items but this is an excellent place for multi rotors. Can you find cheaper items elsewhere? Of course. I liked the better quality and the service and support with learning how to use the stuff and the best ways to get the absolute best use was more then worth the extra expense. Gave me tons of great advice and tips. Like with installing and calibrating the camera. Not the kind of things the novice user might consider. The spare batteries were likewise a great piece of advice. And the blade guards. Seriously i would never have figured that thing out as quickly except for them. read more

LOVE THIS PLACE!! I'm 30 and I used to live right around the corner and drool in the windows when I was around 10. Now I'm able to actually go inside and be a customer. Every single one of the employees are great including Jake the owner. They will spend as much time as they need to insure that you are happy and out the door running. I usually bring a few buddies and my toddler aged daughter with me and its always a good time. They never even trip on my little girl running around pulling things off the shelves! I was looking for a gear type thing for a refrigerator drawer that broke and thought maybe they would have one. They were so helpful with suggestions even though they couldn't find anything that I could use.
