This is a great spot!! I really was the one that was totally, completely clueless when it comes to Pawn Shops, my impression is that they are sleazy, dirty, and just not good places to do business at all...MY IMPRESSION WAS WRONG.. Sooooo...I called Best Collateral, and told them what "stuff" I have that I want to sell. "Bring in what you got." Of course not knowing if these items that I would want to sell would be bought. Glad that I made the trek out there, and asked about the items that I'm wanting to sell. My friend on the phone is the one that helped me when I was there. Sooooo...I wanted to sell some jewelry and a dvd camcorder. It turns out this place takes digital camcorders, but they have to be DIGITAL ONLY. Which means they wouldn't buy mine...Next.....the jewelry I was wanting to sell, basically the same story. I do not consider this a wasted trip at all. I understand know how this works. This was an educational experience for me. read more

Middle of the road pawn shop, nothing exciting. Tamara I think her name is was helpful and helped me end a chapter in my life for good. Not sure why I kept the ring for so long but oh well! Would probably go back if in a pinch. read more

Wouldn't take a tool that I had won in a work raffle, they had originally told me "hey yeah just bring proof that you won it". Brought in the proof that I won it then tells me "oh no we need a receipt actually from maybe your manager or whoever bought it" which i understand, but at the same time tell me that information when I'm FIRST there so I don't need to come back. Now I understand why Granters has a better star rating. read more

First things first the appearance of the Pawn Shop was not bad, the customer service person was not bad. The staff are especially trained to low ball gold sellers. When you ask a direct question like what is your current "Per Gram" weight buying price they don't have a straight answer. First they want to examine the item then test and weigh it, which is unnecessary for a inquiry and not an "appraisal" after going through their process they then offer less than 50% of the current spot price or about 25% of how much it would sell for at retail. The current gold rate is a little over $1934 per oz or $62.18 per gram of 24k gold 14k is $36.06 per gram since it only contains 58% gold. I brought in a necklace weighing close to 15 grams in like new condition I don't wear anymore thinking I might exchange it for cash or trade it in for something else I might like. Here is how much they offered me $230 when it is actually worth $530.15 so they are looking to make a $300+ profit off my item. So my advice would be if you are looking to sell any old gold you don't need anymore to find someone that is willing to give you a honest price per gram quote without trying to take advantage of you. read more

Nice to do business with. Service is comfortable. Easy to work with. The items I purchased were quality.

This place kinda sucks honestly. They don't take anything even if it's brand new/good brand/expensive electronics that I know some people would really want. I'd rather go to Granters like always where they offer way more too other than a lousy small amount. I come to Best Collateral first all the time since it is closer to my house, but they really are picky in what they take in so I end up going across town to Granters because I know i'll get something out of it, which is nice in a time of need. I won't be coming here anymore for surely. It doesn't do me any good at all and is a waste of time. read more

Abraham and Marie is so accommodating they're always there to help , Marie is very knowledgeable in the loan department.Highly recommended.

Very disappointed I called early on the morning to see if they had new inventory coming in the lady on the phone said to be here by 3 that's when they were going to put the new inventory out. I get there at 3 and there literally nothing on display what a waste of my time to drive over and hour to this place never coming back to this dishonest place! read more

THIS PLACE IS A RIP OFF! So I went to this place to pawn my 5 marquise cut diamond ring with two diamond stud earrings. Lady named Cara helped me, she first asked me how much I'm looking to borrow and I told her $800. So she tested the ring and the stud earrings. After looking through everything, she first told me that she can give me $500 for the ring and the earrings. I asked her "that's it?". So she went on her computer again and did some more research and price matching. Then she told me "the best I can give you is $600 or you can think about it and come back" so I told her that I will think about it. After two days, I came back to this pawn shop and this time a guy named MIKE helped me. He didn't even ask me how much I'm looking to borrow, he weighed the ring and went straight scratching my ring to do an acid test. Then came back to me scratching his sweaty head and said "Yeah, I can probably give you $20". I was trying my best to stay calm. Really? $20 for a diamond ring? Seriously? When one of your employee offered me $600 2 days ago? I know they have to make a profit, but $20 for a 5 stone diamond ring? That's not even 5% of what Cara offered me. And all the jewelry on their showcase are over priced. They'll offer you $20 and sell it for 200x more! I didn't even see a single $200 diamond ring in their showcase. You can show them a $5,000 ring and they'll probably offer you $200. They probably think that all customers they deal with, can't do math. I bet if all the people that went to this shop and got ripped off have yelp account or did a review, this pawn shop will be a one star shop. People only agree on their offers cos they really need the money and they have no other choice. Well I don't need their $20! If you happen to go here, go to Cara. Don't ever deal with MIKE!!!.. But I'm guessing that they already lectured Cara for offering me a good deal!! read more

10 stars no doubt. Thank you Cara and Mike for your professionalism and ensuring I was completely satisfied. Very happy customer and will continue doing business with Vallejo Best Collateral. I had used this company off and on since 2012. The last time I picked up my rings, three diamonds were missing from one ring, and several from my other ring. I would recommend getting a copy of the diamond certificate from them when putting your rings in, and have them verifiy the condition when you get them out. Very unhappy customer now, and will not use the service again. read more

First time in since they moved across the plaza...I own a business and brought in a piece to have authenticated.... First,I saw a huge Jewelry sign to the left,so I went there.. waited....and waited...got nothing until after about 10mins...Meantime sbout 6 employees go here and there throughout the store...Never acknowledging me or others on the floor...In between that though,a shorter lady came from behind the appraisal area to the jewelry area and helped a lady right away..This lady-customer had just come from the appraisal area, and was there probably a half a minute...knew I was there first and she nor the shorter employee acknowledged me...tacky & Very RUDE...So I wait a minute,patiently..and finally the employee was free and acknowledged me...Told me I had to go to the appraisal area for my piece I had (an old magnifying glass)....So I go to that area and wait... TWO employees are waiting on ONE customer..No acknowledgement still... Finally one man is done double helping the customer... He checks my piece for me.. Slam bam he wanted to get out of there...and I am done!!! Inadequate service Rude customer service You have to be a "regular" so-called customer to get noticed Won't be back nor recommend this place.... Tacky as hell!!... read more

I put a ring on lay away and Abraham is always very nice and always very attentive to his customer's needs. He doesn't pressure you to buy jewelries unlike other sellers that I know. I went in for a loan on some items they offered me the best price in comparison to other pawn shops in the area. The place was clean the employees were professional and knowledgeable. I would definitely be back and recommend it. read more

So I've been to a few pawn shops around this area. When I walked into the other ones, it was what someone would expect. Kinda sleezy. But then I stopped in here and was kind of impressed on their layout and how clean their shop was. There was a long line at the sell counter which was comforting knowing people trusted this store to sell their items to. I browsed around, just window shopping. Then saw 3 security cameras. Each properly marked with a price. So I figured I'd try to bargin with them, eh, why not right? Man! The guy at the counter actually took my bargaining seriously and gave me an amazing deal on the cameras! Would I go back to purchase? 100% yes. If you go in, make sure you talk to a guy named Mike. He's probably the tallest guy in there, hard to miss. But they will for sure work with you and get you what you need! read more

I have visited this location Vallejo, before and I have to say how Great their service is. You have to go in with understanding when asking for a loan, the amount you get is based on "used resale value". But they are more than fair in the items I used for collateral. I had the pleasure of working with Michael and he is fast efficient and polite. Thank you for your service you truly are the "Best collateral " and live up to the name !! read more

This place sucks I went a while back and they tried to give me 100 bucks for my ipad 2 32 gb but they had an pad 1st gen on sale for almost 300. I had recently put my laptop up for collateral and the chick who was inspecting it ripped the disc drive cover and button right off and then tried to tell me it was already like that but it wasn't, it was because she had some long ass nails and she couldn't push the drive button so she decided it was a genius dies to try to pry it so she obviously learned that didn't work....well what do expect from this place read more

I found a Jack Lalanne's Power Juicer here today!!!! It was a great price and brand new. Amazon sold the same exact model for almost 100 bucks more. There are a couple more if anyone is interested. I went in to exchange it since there is no $ back. They kept the money for the tax on the tv instead of giving me credit for the full price.Really? Worst place ever had a couple bad experiences there but today was the worst I had a brand new bike that was too small for my son still in the box never opened so I called the pawnshop they said for me to bring it down I told him it was brand new still in the box then when I got there they waited till after I got it out of my car and brought it inside and it's very heavy box and then the guy automatically got rude with me Saying you know I won't be able to take this while I was still standing in line so everybody could hear my business and I said why he said because you need to put it together and I told him I just spoke to someone on the phone and I told them it was in the box and they told me to bring it down and then he got an attitude and said who did you talk to I said I didn't know I had to get names I even showed him my phone showing that I called he basically called me a liar and told me I don't know what's in that box I can't take it I told him then why don't you open it he was just trying to find any reason to tell the whole store my business at that point I was so irritated I just took the bike and left honestly I'd rather give it away to a child who needs it then put up with that degrading crap it's not like they'll give you that much anyways they always lowball you read more

Coming from Reno, where there are many pawn shops. This place is amateur and needs a lesson from the real boys out there. I hope they get taken and ripped off until bankruptcy. Note- did not want to give this establishment a star however I cannot wrote a review without doing so. So, I had a VERY shitty experience with this place and YOU will too. I came in with some of my broken jewelry to cash in on them. The places I normally go to in Napa were closed so this place was by default since I was going the same direction. Jose, the service tech who was reviewing my jewelry and after 5 min asked me if I wanted a loan. I responded "no" I'm only here to sell my jewelry. I gave him my military id and told him my drivers license address isn't accurate as well as my last name however my military has my name (mind u, I volunteered my military Id to him). After 10 min he asked me agin if I wanted a loan and I said "no". Anyways, he is looking at my drivers license and I reiterated that my addy wasn't correct in it n that I'm stationed here now. He then tells me he can't provide business to me bc I'm a military member n it's ineligible. I then informed him it's not illegal for me to sell my jewelry r personal belongings. It's only illegal if I get a loan from them. Then his very intelligent co-worker chimes in "Frick" agrees with "Frack" stating loud for the entire shop to hear, "yeah, it's illegal for us to help military n u need to b careful." Brother, word of advice, if u want to sound intelligent and give sound info then learn ur Effin law. The Military Lending Act of 2016 has NOTHING to do with pawning items for money. Ur choice of "words" were uncalled for, U sound stupid. Clearly this business discriminates when u don't get a loan bc that's when their tone kept changing. Need to report them to the Better Business read more

First impressions... The key is to get the customer in the door. The fast talking guy I got blew me off the phone. Heck, why answer with 'how can I help you' when asked a simple question regarding interest rates... and a fast draw answer, 'come on in and we will see what you got.' Heck, that was as non responsive as you can get. Not to mention, the phone menu doesn't work... prior to getting this sweet heart of a guy, every selection (1 of 4) comes up as an invalid selection. I had to call their San Mateo store to see if there was a way to get transferred. So, the long and short of the story, I was going to take a pair of His and Here Rolex Presidents in mint condition (2 years old) for a quick loan in which to take advantage of another purchase opportunity... Glad this guy played his hand early... Saves me the grief of driving X number of miles only to get pissed off. So, if they can't offer a little sugar to begin with, you surely aren't going to get it down the line... Best (no pun intended) check out those shops that want your business. read more
