I had a very pleasant experience selling my silver here. Gave me the best price compared to other places that I had inquired. Quick and easy transaction. He gave me his tips on ways to maximize precious metal investments and his thoughts on platinum. All around good shop I would return/recommend! read more

It's been a while since I've written a Yelp review, but I wanted to drop in an excellent experience I had here bringing in some jewelry and silver coins we inherited. They didn't offer more than melt value for the jewelry, and they explained why, which was fine. The offer was fair for the melt value of the jewelry and the coins, and we ended up selling the coins but keeping our jewelry. The melt value of the silver was about $600, he offered $500 which was way more convenient than trying to sell it myself or drive all around the Bay Area trying to squeeze out an extra $20. Convenient street parking right in front, I didn't feel unsafe. read more

Excellent customer service and knowledge. The guy who works here is super cool and has a true passion for his profession. I've been stopping by to grab random coins/paper money and every time I stop by, I'm treated like family. Much love to Vallejo Coin Exchange read more

the owner of 30+ years (Bob) is a very nice guy. and more than knowledgeable when it comes to anything coin or precious metal related! although some times (mainly when you are selling something) he will use said knowledge and low ball you a bit because "he has to make a few bucks" which is understandable.. but a few times I brought coins that are considered collectible and the quote I recieved every time was " melt price " .. then next week I see them in his display case priced at double of what he paid me. it's just business, I know... but you don't have to get over on people. that's just my $0.02 cents.. Needed watch battery changed. The back doesn't have any notches. Bob (?) opened up my watch back with some considerable effort. He didn't have the battery in stock, so he didn't charge me. Will be back and referring people to this honest business man read more

The owner is a great man and i had a really great conversation with him when i went. Gives you a fair price and you get the best value here than anywhere else! read more

They are a family run business, and very trustworthy. I've been here a few times over the years and have had the pleasure of meeting both the owner and his daughter. They are very good at what they do, honest, and friendly. I especially enjoy the daughter's sense of humor. I wouldn't waste my time with any other coin exchange business in the area, Vallejo Coin Exchange surpasses them all. I will definitely be back! read more

I sold a few coins to them a couple of times. I had never had my grandfather's coin collection looked at before. The folks at the Exchange walked me through the process and helped me understand what I had. They are friendly, very knowledgeable and I trusted their appraisals. I appreciated all the time they took answering my questions as well. Good people. read more

Got offered $2.25 for a clean red seal two dollar bill. Pffffffttttt... dudes super monotone, never smiling, and a low baller. Go ahead and skip this place read more

I called these guys to sell some silver coins and was offered 15-17X face value. Which was weird being every other shop I called gave me just one number and it was alot higher than theirs. Two shops in Marin offered 22x face value. Finnaly went to shop in Mill Valley called Pacific Precious Metals. Good people. Good luck shop around lots of money to be made I guess its hard for some people to stay honest. This shop was by far the lowest I talked to all day. read more

I've been hoodwinked! I tried to go to a local and established dealer. I figured this buyer was the lesser of two evils. You're taking $3 off of spot price? REALLY? Then you cheated me out of another dollar because you'd assumed I did not know where silver had closed for the day. But I was aware of the spot price before walking in. THAT WAS A TEST! We have information in the palm of our hands; they're called smart phones with mobile Internet browsing. Next time I will take more time, gas, and precious metal to go to the many of other dealers in the Bay Area. read more

The guy was very rude and didn't help me at all he didn't even tell me about the coins I brought in

In my opinion the only place to go with old jewelry and coins, Bob and his son are always super friendly and willing to talk about whatever, gives you fair evaluations of whatever you bring in and is very knowledgeable about everything too so you know you aren't getting taken cause he will if you want explain the prices for everything you are selling. Love that he's a local guy and passing his knowledge down to his son who will do very well for himself with such a great role model to teach him. I can't say enough nice things about them and I could probably spend hours in there just talking if I had the time, thanks for being a great guy Bob, you will forever have my business. read more

Very helpful, very friendly! Their prices are fair, they need to make some money too! I will be returning!

It was great doing business with Bob. He has been in business for over 30 years. I left very satisfied.

I enjoyed my visit with Bob yesterday and learned some great tips. Today I put a tip into action and found over 50.00 in Silver. It was fun and risk free. I appreciate Bob freely sharing his experience. read more

Bob is great! Talk to him for a minute & you'll see what I mean he's actually very funny, helpful and answers all my questions. Most importantly Bob is FAIR (not some shyster like the few immature clueless had previously mentioned) By far the BEST place to sell /buy gold & silver coins etc. I will add that he's local, with a safe, long time, well established business, right here in Vallejo. I'll be back soon!! read more
