Jason is an honest, fair, professional who knows what he is doing. I've been to his shop a number of times over the last few years and he never disappoints. I'm sure that is why on a few occasions I had to WAIT MY TURN to do business with him. No problem. I'd much rather wait than go to a competitor who will almost surely not give me as good a deal as Jason. While Jason isn't exactly warm and fuzzy, he is a genuinely nice family man running his small business single handedly, with occasional help from his young son of about 10 years old, who seems interested in learning his dad's trade. Here's my advice if you are considering going to Napa Gold & Silver. If you see he is busy, give him a break and patiently wait your turn. It's a very small shop so he knows you are there. He probably will not cut off the person he is dealing with to engage you because he is a very focused professional who, when it is your turn, will give you the same full attention. Believe me, it's worth it! And finally, if Jason isn't as smooth with you as you would like, or has different views than you about your inquiry when it is your turn, perhaps you can suck it up and realize he genuinely wants you to get the best deal possible and will speak his mind on it. That's one of the things that make him an actual professional. It is part of his business to know and understand what is happening in the world as it relates to the work he does. I for one don't need someone who will just give me what I want when they know it isn't in my best interest. I am happy to hear him out and then decide. If, after you get reliable information that you don't agree with you still want to do what you had in mind when you came in, I'm sure Jason will oblige. I just can't imagine why anyone with good sense would do that. read more

I came in and had some gold and silver to sell Jason the owner gave me a fair price and was a win win. I also checked with his competition in Napa and they offered me way less. I was never pressured and you can tell he's a trustworthy family man. I will always do my business here. read more

Really helpful and pleasant experiences. First visit I sold some random silver bars my husband had been collecting dust with. Very fair price. Then I came back with coins I had inherited and should have treasured but didn't want to be responsible for anymore. What promised to be an emotional trauma turned into a great experience--not to mention getting a more than fair deal on them. Highly recommend Jason as a knowledgeable and upright guy with integrity and compassion. read more

My review of NGS after working with Jason several years ago: "So get this. I had a bunch of gold that I never wear/use, and I decided to sell it. I took it to this place in downtown Sonoma. The guy told me even though it looks pretty, like 18k or 22k, its only 10k or 14k. He only tested one piece and said that it was all the same quality. (He did not test it in front of me). When he weighed it, he weighed it all together and offered me the 10k price of $1200. He said some of my pieces were junk but that he would still buy them for cheap, so in the end it was a win-win situation for me. I said no thanks. Then I took all the same stuff to this place in Napa, called Napa Gold and Silver on California Blvd, and the guy tested and weighed each piece individually. Most of my goods turned out to be 14k or 18k, not 10k like the other guy said, even the "junk" pieces. For the same lot of gold, he gave me $2300 - nearly TWICE what the other guy offered me. I highly recommend Napa Gold and Silver, great people to do business with. This place came as a recommendation to me from family, and I would highly recommend them to all my friends and family." Today I stopped by NGS to do business with Jason again at his newer location. Jason was very professional, courteous, transparent and honest, and he even has new technology to make sure his assessments of precious metals are as fair as possible. I'm sure there are a number of places I could've done business with that are closer to home, but I specifically made the 40 minute drive to Napa to do business with Jason again. Over the last several years I have referred a number of people to NGS, all of whom have had equally positive experiences. In this day and age, it's sometimes hard to find business owners with integrity. I look forward to working with Jason in the future. read more

I was very happy with my transaction today at Napa Gold and Silver. Jason was very accommodating and gave me great information about the pieces I brought in to sell. The process can seem daunting when you bring jewelry in you know nothing about but he answered all my questions to my satisfaction and gave me, what I believe, to be a fair price. I definitely recommend him! read more

Honest, professional, and great to do business with. Very happy with them and gave best price on purchase of gold.

Best prices in town. I wanted to sell some scrap jewelry, I was quoted a price from napa gold and silver. Wanting to make sure the price was fair, I compared with other local gold and silver shops. The price was more then fair, in fact no other place in napa would even consider matching the price. This should be your choice for selling or buying gold, silver and coins. read more

Stopped in with hopes of purchasing some morgan dollars after i inquired about them the sales man was very rude and asked me why i wanted them and told me morgans are a bad buy right now... he then pulled out a stack of cull morgans witch i was not interested in. I then asked if he had any raw BU morgans he said yes but i would have to pay "high retail" in very loud and rude manner. For what ever reason this gentleman was very upset with me. This is not how a business should treat potential customers i will never go back!!!!! read more
