My husband and I met with Jim yesterday and it was a great experience! I have a ring that I purchased a few years ago and rarely wear so I was curious to see what it's currently worth and what the process was of trying to sell it. I came across Jim's Yelp page and was drawn in by the amazing reviews. He did not disappoint! Making the appointment was quick and easy. Jim is very accommodating and thorough. He gave me detailed instructions, including a picture, of his location. He is welcoming, charismatic and a wealth of knowledge! What I appreciated the most was his genuine honesty. Although we didn't make a transaction, we left happy and with valuable information about the jewelry industry. Thank you, Jim! Hopefully we'll get to do business with you one day! read more

I had a great experience working with Jim. He was very straightforward about current gold prices and explained how both natural and lab-grown diamonds are valued. I can't say enough good things about Jim at JLS in Fairfield. From the moment I walked in, he was so knowledgeable, honest, and kind. He took the time to really listen and explain things in a way that made me understand and feel comfortable. As an added bonus, I had brought in a sentimental bracelet I hadn't worn in over 15 years because I thought it was broken. Jim quickly discovered it wasn't broken at all--just bent! He carefully fixed it, and now I can finally wear it again- which I'm forever grateful for. What stood out most to me was how helpful and fair he was throughout the entire process. It's rare these days to find someone in this line of work who truly cares about people and not just the transaction. If you're looking for someone trustworthy and skilled in jewelry, Jim at JLS is the one to go to. Highly recommend! read more

Highly professional top notch transactions with great rates and PRIVACY. Highly recommend.

Great experience and has the best prices around highly recommend for gold silver and diamonds

I was going thru a separation from my husband and needed to liquidate assets. To sell a ring of particular value I looked at the popular 'ship to,' auction houses. These were reputable organizations, but I wanted to do business with someone local for transparency. It was a blessing an on-line inquiry led me to JLS Diamonds and Jim Dinse. The auction house companies could only offer me a fraction of what I wanted for my diamond solitaire ring; less their commission, and only if they could sell it. On the contrary, Jim actually found a buyer for my ring before I even met with him; and before my ring left my possession. In fact, Jim paid me exactly what I wanted for my ring via cash transfer on the spot! Jim turned a stormy time in my life into a rainbow with a pot of gold! I could not be more grateful! One Month Later ..... I was so grateful and impressed with Jim's professionalism, honesty and integrity, I returned a month later to sell him a coin collection. I trusted Jim implicitly. Jim paid me TOP DOLLAR for it and I was actually shocked at its value.! I am definitely going to shop with JLS Diamonds and Jim Dinse FIRST for my jewelry needs before shopping retail in the future! If you are looking for a resource in this market don't even think about it; CALL JIM AT JLS DIAMONDS NOW AND MAKE AN APPT! You won't be disappointed! read more

I can't give enough praise to Jim with JLS, Jeweler Liquidation Services. Very professional. Straight Shooter. He buys and sells jewelry, coins, precious metals, etc. Appointments are required. He was very personable and explained everything to us and how the market truly is so we can be smarter about our purchases and how we use the pieces we have. He will also help to repair jewelry at a fraction of the cost what you would get from any jewelry store. He is amazing to work with. We have definitely found a new go to for jewelry needs. read more

What can I not say about Jim at JLS! I needed my Grandmother's heirloom sage necklace repaired for my upcoming nuptials and Jim was very responsive, extremely nice, professional, and his work is amazing! The turnaround time was very fast, and while I picked up my necklace, he cleaned my rings and fixed my 3 watch batteries! I'll definitely be seeing you again Jim. Thank you for making this happen for my special day! read more

Jim comes across as honest, informative and straightforward. I took some items in for him to evaluate and to provide a quote. Although we didn't come to an agreement on all of the items, we did on a few. Jim gave me ideas on how and where to sell things on my own. I would use his services again in a heartbeat. read more

Jim is a cool dude! Messaged him with details on a chain I wanted to sell. Not knowing how much it weighed I told him it weighed closer to 6 grams in which we agreed on a price. When I arrived, he checked it out and weighed it and turned out to be heavier than I originally thought. Him being an honest man, he gave me more than what we agreed on over the phone. It was a seamless process; got in and got out with some extra cash. This was my first time working with Jim and it was a great time. Definitely will go back to him first should I have more to sell. There's a reason he's been in the game for many years! Thanks!! read more

Amazing customer service and spot pricing from JLS. Came in to sell to Jim and he broke down how he came to the price in a quick and concise manner and we made a transaction happen in less than an hour. I would highly recommend any metal inquiries towards JLS to friends moving forward and they will continue to have my business in the future as well. read more

Most knowledgeable jewelry buyer I've ever met. Extremely informed and exceptionally fair in his prices.

With the price of gold and silver hitting new records recently my wife and I went digging around trying to find any old jewelry we could sale for scrap. My wife found (3) 14k bracelets that were just sitting in a box that she never wore anymore and I found several silver coins my dad has given me over the years for Christmas. Since we had a few things that might bring in a few bucks we went looking for someone we felt we could trust to sale it to. Using Yelp we found JLS Diamonds. After reading through all the positive reviews we called and set up an appointment (since Jim is 100% by appointment only). When we got to the business we found a very nice comfortable office that gives you the impression this guy knows what he's doing. Jim has a digital scale on his desk and a little written note with that days gold and silver prices written out with the price he will pay per karat, gram, etc. Jim will take all the time you need to explain what each item is worth and what he will give you for it and what his profit will be so everything feels above board. There is NO high pressure sales and you don't leave feeling like you just got screwed over. I would recommend Jim to any and all my family, friends, relatives, etc. You can tell from speaking to him that he has decades of being in the business so it makes you feel confident he's going to take good care of you. All in all we couldn't be happier with the whole experience. If you have any gold, silver, rings, necklaces, bracelets, etc. I wouldn't hesitate taking them in. With these record prices you will be amazed at how much money you can get for just a few items. read more

I had a flawless experience with Jim. I had a few pieces I wanted to know the value of and he was able to meet the next day. Prior to our meeting, he was very communicative and willing to talk by both phone and text (texting is more convenient for me). Once there, he was very patient and thorough, willing to take his time and answer all of my questions. Jim clearly loves his profession and his passion makes him a joy to meet with! Jim, I very much appreciate your work and knowledge, and I plan on seeing you in the future both for information and to create a piece! Thank you! read more

I met Jim today to see if I could sell my jewelry collection and I was able to sell some. I traveled from San Francisco and I'm glad I did. He was professional. He was friendly and welcoming. He was very informative and I appreciate that. I also learned a lot from him. Thank you, Jim for being the person you are and giving me a great deal. If I have anything else to show you or know someone who is interested in selling their collection I'll definitely recommend you. I wish you the best in the future. read more

This place was okay. The owner was kind and easy to work with however I can't shake the feeling I was ripped off. I sold an engagement ring and a necklace here. The total I got for everything was $80. When I find a photo of the necklace I'll update this review. I was given $25 for the ring and $55 for the necklace. read more

Jim was very clear and concise in breaking down the value of the gold and diamonds I took in to be looked at. First off, be sure to make an appointment! By scheduling an appointment, it gives you time with Jim where he will clearly explain the evaluation process. Also, don't get your hopes too high as you should not expect to receive what you think an item is worth, or especially what it cost when it was purchased retail. Jim is fair, and if you've done some of your homework and have a realistic idea of value based on the current prices of gold, silver, and gem stones, he will make a fair market offer. As I said, be realistic. The original purchaser paid retail, and that store made a huge profit when selling it. Jim is also is a business, and the service he provides also warrants a modest portion of the transaction if you accept his offer. Finally, he does not pressure a person to sell to him. If you don't agree with his offer, he takes no issue with you if you decide to pass and go somewhere else. I will definitely be making another appointment with him when the need arises. read more

I had such a great experience here! We went in to just find a price on how much my gold jewelry was worth. I was holding some gold and silver coins I bought for investment a while ago. Figured it's time to sell. Certainly didn't want to walk around West or North Texas pawn shops with the loot. JLS is high end business in good area between the Hillborn NortBay Medical offices. Paid current spot price, fair deal. I'll be back with some jewelry, getting it appraised. Trustworthy outfit. read more

Great business to sell gold to! They were offering among the best valuations in the Bay Area at least on the .9999 pure gold coins/bars that I was looking to sell. I find buying jewelry online a real challenge. Many second hand sellers don't know what they have or are just downright unhelpful. Jim makes it easy. He is super responsive to questions and goes the extra mile to make sure you have all the information you need to make a good choice. JLS provides at least the same level of service and attention that you would receive from a high end retail operation at a price point for the rest of us. There was a problem in transit with the first item I ordered. Without hesitation he took the ring back, reworked it to make it even better than the original, and shipped it back in time to give as a gift. Top notch! I can say that Jim is true to his word, and that is probably the most important thing to look for in a jeweler. He is an absolute gem (pun intended)! read more

I was trying to find a place where I could sell off some jewelry that I've been holding onto for years but have been pretty apprehensive because of people who are can be dishonest. So after doing some research and reading about several options, I came across JLS Jewelers and the owner Jim. What drew me were his 5 star reviews, very few reviews, but still 5 stars. Well I'm here to say he truly deserves more! I cannot say enough about this business. Jim definitely lives up to the 5 stars. First off, I am big on customer service wherever I go and I'll tell you what, you will receive tip top service from Jim. He is extremely polite, kind and personable. I brought quite a few items in and figured I could come back if he didn't have enough time. But he looked at all of it and did not rush me or make me feel like I was taking too much of his time. What was so impressive was his knowledge, expertise and ability to "teach" and explain while he was looking at my jewelry. It was actually fascinating. He was honest and upfront, giving me a visual into how things are made or done. I am so grateful to have found Jim and appreciate the time he spent. He is super friendly and I thoroughly enjoyed our conversations. I'm also looking to have a ring made for my son that was lost and I will be returning to Jim for any of my future repairs or buying or selling needs. I highly recommend JLS and Jim, you will not regret it! More businesses need to follow his way of true and genuine customer service! Thank you:) read more
