Went today to deposit some coins at my bank, the teller pulled one out and said it looks collectible. Long story short, I see it selling on eBay for 2,500$ the exact one I have. I've never been to this antiques/coins place before, and wanted to see if it was something they might look at and maybe see if it's worth anything at all. (I didn't know it was even worth anything less than an hour before) The old woman behind the counter, quite literally laughed in my face, absolutely embarrassing, and said no it's not worth that and wouldn't even look at it. They should definitely learn some manners and customer service, because I can guarantee I will never be back and will NEVER recommend to anyone ever after being embarrassed like that. I came in with wanting to at least maybe learn something about this coin, even if it wasn't worth anything and maybe find out what to look for, but left feeling extremely disrespected and belittled. This little hidden gem in Vacaville is amazing. So many beautiful things to choose from. I went in with my daughter to sell some jewelry that had just been sitting in my jewelry box. Owner was fair and knowledgeable, with a fun sense of humor. I got more than I expected for my jewelry, and fell in love with a pair of beautiful diamond earrings that I bought for a fair price. What a rip-off! I took in some jewelry I had collected over the years. Many of the pieces were purchased for well over $110 and up to $500. I did sell a little but really should not have done it. The snide white-haired woman in the front was a total b....h! I had several onyx and silver earrings, some others with stones and etc. I had several native American pieces with turquoise, both aqua, and green (which they no longer mine), and was told he would offer to buy them for the price of silver only. I paid over $350 for each pair, so said no. Then, the ivory earrings I own, which are illegal to sell or buy, he really wanted to buy for pennies on the dollar. The "lovely" lady in the front came back, looked at my collection, and said it was just junk and would sell on the dollar table. What a croc of BS! There was not pair that was purchased for under $75. Ted wasted two hours of my time, insulted my collection and what I did sell I totally regret doing so. I will NOT return to this store. I am sorry if my review does not agree with others, but it was truly a joke! read more

I went in to clipper cargo to sell my wedding ring. Unfortunately, my marriage had not worked out and I was honestly lucky enough to get out of the marriage before the issues we had escalated. Ted took the time to go over my ring in great detail. Explaining everything. He was honest and fair. I was visibly upset. As bad as the marriage was no one wants their marriage to fail and giving up the ring was hard. Ted could see how broken I was and gave me sweet words of encouragement and let me pick something in his store priced at $20 to take home with me. I chose a pair of powder blue costume earrings. That was five years ago and I am proud to say that I recently wore those earrings as my something blue at my wedding to my new husband, who is absolutely wonderful. I have been coming to the store for about 10 years at least. I've always loved coming here especially when the original owners were working here. They were always friendly and helpful. In the last year, there has been a lady there with white hair and glasses and a young girl who have changed the whole vibe of the store. They are so unfriendly and unhelpful. They are more concerned about eating and having their meals delivered. The older lady makes unpleasant faces and smart alec comments when me or my mom ask her something. She plays dumb and seems to be racist when my mom speaks with her accent. We've been there about 3 times and have consistently been treated that way. I doubt I will go back unless the owner trains their employees to be courteous and professional. read more

Very rude. Very racist. Very ignorant. This is my second time going and I must say the worst retail experience I have had to date. I was followed throught the store. Sister was told not to touch certain items while other people were able to do so. Did not know Vacaville had these kinds of view. My sister and I are very well off and dressed casually and the only Hispanics inside at the time. I asked if any necklaces to fit my antique charm I bought last year. My first time going here was in 2009 - I had been off work due to a disability and I sold some odd gold pieces to them for a decent price. Now I buy most of my rings from here. I have a lovely chocolate and champagne diamond ring, a tanzanite ring a small emerald. My prize piece is a 2.5 carat tanzanite and diamond ring. I have been looking for a tanzanite ring of this quality for years but really couldn't afford it. This ring was prettier and cheaper than all the ones they were selling at Macy's at the time for 40% off.. I also love the fact that they have lay-away. The owners did me a big solid recently when I had to cancel a lay-away to send to my daughter who is in Dallas after fleeing hurricane Harvey. They refunded all of my money, even though they didn't have to. I will be forever grateful for their kindness. Not that I needed a reason to shop here but I will be a customer for life now. I normally like buying 1 oz, rounds and my favorite "the Silver American Eagles" which they had plenty of both.
