Friendly, fast and very fair. Their offer matched what I was thinking we would get for some jewelry sold. They were very friendly and knowledgeable. I would definitely go back. read more

Made an appt here to sell some coins. The staff were so incredibly friendly. They were knowledgeable, transparent, and their offers matched what we had researched earlier. They even took some extra time to ask questions about my family members and the story behind some of the coins. They have such a unique collection of pieces for sale, so much to look at. Highly recommend stopping in and checking it out. read more

Excellent selection of eclectic goods, jewelry and coins. Staff is courteous and friendly, knowledgeable and takes time when assessing items. Make an appointment if you're looking to sell anything, they DO get busy, and it keeps the 'flow' smooth for everyone... read more

Great place to get coins. Awesome owner. If you ask for supplies and they don't have it they will get it for you. Everytime I've come here, I've always felt welcome. Thank you! read more

Clipper Cargo Jewelry Coin and Vintage Treasures - Antiques Near Me - Vacaville, California

I called today to get an estimate on some gold that I have after calling previous shops to get estimates, and when the lady answered the phone, she gave me a very rude response and made the conversation awkward. She was very unprofessional and should not be in customer service at all. I don't recommend calling. read more

The owner Ted has been very helpful and knowledgeable on items we have brought to the store, the ladies that work there are kind, friendly and helpful , great location downtown Vacaville. read more

What a rip-off! I took in some jewelry I had collected over the years. Many of the pieces were purchased for well over $110 and up to $500. I did sell a little but really should not have done it. The snide white-haired woman in the front was a total b....h! I had several onyx and silver earrings, some others with stones and etc. I had several native American pieces with turquoise, both aqua, and green (which they no longer mine), and was told he would offer to buy them for the price of silver only. I paid over $350 for each pair, so said no. Then, the ivory earrings I own, which are illegal to sell or buy, he really wanted to buy for pennies on the dollar. The "lovely" lady in the front came back, looked at my collection, and said it was just junk and would sell on the dollar table. What a croc of BS! There was not pair that was purchased for under $75. Ted wasted two hours of my time, insulted my collection and what I did sell I totally regret doing so. I will NOT return to this store. I am sorry if my review does not agree with others, but it was truly a joke! read more

Love this little shop. The owner is kinda qwerky but in a fun way and the girls are very helpful but professional. Have bought a few really nice items from the store and have had several rings sized there also. Going in there is always an adventure to see what cool new items they might have. Definitely worth a peek see. read more

This little hidden gem in Vacaville is amazing. So many beautiful things to choose from. I went in with my daughter to sell some jewelry that had just been sitting in my jewelry box. Owner was fair and knowledgeable, with a fun sense of humor. I got more than I expected for my jewelry, and fell in love with a pair of beautiful diamond earrings that I bought for a fair price. Both dad and his lovely daughter answered all of my questions and provided excellent service. Highly recommend! read more

Went today to deposit some coins at my bank, the teller pulled one out and said it looks collectible. Long story short, I see it selling on eBay for 2,500$ the exact one I have. I've never been to this antiques/coins place before, and wanted to see if it was something they might look at and maybe see if it's worth anything at all. (I didn't know it was even worth anything less than an hour before) The old woman behind the counter, quite literally laughed in my face, absolutely embarrassing, and said no it's not worth that and wouldn't even look at it. They should definitely learn some manners and customer service, because I can guarantee I will never be back and will NEVER recommend to anyone ever after being embarrassed like that. I came in with wanting to at least maybe learn something about this coin, even if it wasn't worth anything and maybe find out what to look for, but left feeling extremely disrespected and belittled. Would give 0 stars if I could. read more

I went in to clipper cargo to sell my wedding ring. Unfortunately, my marriage had not worked out and I was honestly lucky enough to get out of the marriage before the issues we had escalated. Ted took the time to go over my ring in great detail. Explaining everything. He was honest and fair. I was visibly upset. As bad as the marriage was no one wants their marriage to fail and giving up the ring was hard. Ted could see how broken I was and gave me sweet words of encouragement and let me pick something in his store priced at $20 to take home with me. I chose a pair of powder blue costume earrings. That was five years ago and I am proud to say that I recently wore those earrings as my something blue at my wedding to my new husband, who is absolutely wonderful. I have never forgot the compassion that was shown to me at clipper cargo. The most wonderful experience I have ever had. read more

During some very difficult financial times, my Mother was forced to sell some family heirlooms, Gold, Coins, etc... She was offered and accepted the most fair prices that were offered her out of 4 stores. Ted is a wonderful man and truly cares about his customers and not solely out to make a buck. Definitely recommend Clipper Cargo to Buy or Sell Precious Metals, Coins or Antiques. read more

Best place to be. Been going since maybe 2011. The owners are truly really nice and kind and treat you like family. Best jewelry section they have if you love healing crystals go there. Prices are very fair and not overly expensive at all. read more

Came in looking for something very specific, and unfortunately I didn't find it. The older man that was sitting in the back was just about as friendly as can be. The older woman with white hair, and the younger woman , were both cold and unfriendly. I likely won't return. They do have a lot of interesting little things to look at, but the store is jam packed. read more

I sold some scrap gold here and got a fair price from the guy there. He was pretty honest and friendly. Meticulous and informative. I will continue to do business there. Very nice antiques there. read more

I have been coming to the store for about 10 years at least. I've always loved coming here especially when the original owners were working here. They were always friendly and helpful. In the last year, there has been a lady there with white hair and glasses and a young girl who have changed the whole vibe of the store. They are so unfriendly and unhelpful. They are more concerned about eating and having their meals delivered. The older lady makes unpleasant faces and smart alec comments when me or my mom ask her something. She plays dumb and seems to be racist when my mom speaks with her accent. We've been there about 3 times and have consistently been treated that way. I doubt I will go back unless the owner trains their employees to be courteous and professional. read more

Came in not looking for anything in particular but did have my mother in mind since her birthday was coming up. Walked in & was NOT greeted, I was clearly being watched & was never asked if I was finding everything okay. My cue to leave was when a white woman walked in & was greeted with a smile & asked if she needed any assistance.. The whole experience was uncomfortable, I will never walk into this sketchy little establishment ever again! They don't even deserve the one star I'm giving them.. read more

This place is so incredible!! The owners are warm and inviting. This place is an absolute must see for any jewelry and/or vintage jewelry lovers!! So many beautiful items. read more

Very rude. Very racist. Very ignorant. This is my second time going and I must say the worst retail experience I have had to date. I was followed throught the store. Sister was told not to touch certain items while other people were able to do so. Did not know Vacaville had these kinds of view. My sister and I are very well off and dressed casually and the only Hispanics inside at the time. I asked if any necklaces to fit my antique charm I bought last year. Was told right off were the clearance section was at. Very sad but this place lost all my future business. If you don't mind being harassed. Then go right ahead they have pretty jewels. read more

Excellent and honest business. I have been cleaning out my old gold and silver jewelry. I thought I would look for a new place to sell my broken and unwanted gold jewelry . Well I found Clipper Cargo, Jewelry, Coins & Vintage Treasures. I am SO glad I did! They were very nice, honest, and professional. Hopefully my next visit will be for buying some of their interesting and pretty merchandise. I Highly suggest them for their vintage goodies and selling your unwanted gold and silver! My first time going here was in 2009 - I had been off work due to a disability and I sold some odd gold pieces to them for a decent price. Now I buy most of my rings from here. I have a lovely chocolate and champagne diamond ring, a tanzanite ring a small emerald. My prize piece is a 2.5 carat tanzanite and diamond ring. I have been looking for a tanzanite ring of this quality for years but really couldn't afford it. This ring was prettier and cheaper than all the ones they were selling at Macy's at the time for 40% off.. I also love the fact that they have lay-away. The owners did me a big solid recently when I had to cancel a lay-away to send to my daughter who is in Dallas after fleeing hurricane Harvey. They refunded all of my money, even though they didn't have to. I will be forever grateful for their kindness. Not that I needed a reason to shop here but I will be a customer for life now. Besides...I have to go back and get that ring! read more

I have not written many reviews and I am not sure what this actually does for a business, I just enjoy this little shop and its employees so much. This little shop is just packed with treasures. Although the actual square footage is not like a dept. store, I find more treasures here than anywhere else. They are a collectors dream. They have costume jewelry like never seen before. I mean outstanding sparkles. They also have gold jewelry as well as watches. They have the best customer service and actually know me when I come in. They also have clocks, teacups, Hummel figurines and some of the best china pieces and collectables. Give them a visit, you won't be disappointed. read more

Still one of my favorite places to treat myself with a bauble or trinket. Recently purchased a ceramic borzoi for my dog collection (non-shedding, sits well and never leaves dog toys strewn around for me to trip on). Love the unique jewelry, buttons, collectibles, etc. read more

Excellence in Business etiquette. I had a 9k Gold Necklace that I hadn't worn in years and wanted to sell. If the price was right. Ted was a joy to meet as well as his Family and Staff. He took the time to research my chain and told me of the special markings and where it was created. His offer was HUGE considering what I thought it was worth. He even said to hold onto the necklace for a few days because Gold Prices could rise and they did. Cha Ching! If I ever need to rid myself of any other item, Clipper Cargo will be my First and Only Choice to Conduct business with! read more

My favorite jewelry and antique shop! I can find a lot of vintage treasures here. I recently found a antique sterling silver pill box! They have coins, old cameras, vintage jewelry (fine jewelry and costume), table wear, pictures, stamps etc. Other than there amazing inventory they carry...they also buy gold, sterling silver and coins! I've sold a couple of things with them on different occasions. I have shopped around and no doubt they pay the most out of all shops in Vacaville and other areas in Solano County. Other than they offer the top payout, the environment is outstanding. I feel comfortable with Clipper Cargo Staff and the owners Judy and Ted! They explain everything step by step and make sure I feel comfortable in parting away with my stuff. Clipper Cargo is a one stop shop! read more

I met with the owner who looked at jewelry that I wanted to sell them. He took the time to thoroughly explain what I had value wise and there was zero pressure. He suggested that I shop around to see if I was getting the best deal. Who does that? Obviously a businessman that has integrity! read more

I am always seeking out great precious metal dealers, and today I checked out Clipper Cargo. I will say that they have a great selection of silver to choose from. I normally like buying 1 oz, rounds and my favorite "the Silver American Eagles" which they had plenty of both. The diversity of choices was nice and I will also say that their store is well merchandised. You don't feel like you visiting a garage sale, everything is either new or in very nice condition. I am glad i visited them today and I do plan on making them a regular stop for me. read more
